Catbird is easily one of the best spots in Dallas if you're looking for a great atmosphere and…read morebeautiful aesthetics. The ambiance was absolutely my vibe, stylish, inviting, and the perfect setting for a night out. The drinks were well-made and enjoyable, adding to the overall experience. A good Tuesday night outing. I attended an event there, and although the venue appeared to be a bit understaffed, our waitress, Gabby, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She checked on us regularly, kept us updated, and brought our drinks out as quickly as they were prepared. Her enthusiasm, welcoming personality, and positive energy truly stood out; her energy was a 10/10. Gabby's outstanding service made a great experience even better. I will definitely be back!

Yes, I know It was my fault for losing them, BUT I called Catbird hoping someone turned it in and an employee named Vanessa answered. Thankfully, a good samaritan found them and had turned my sunglasses into lost and found. When I asked Vanessa what glasses were turned in, she told me what they were before I could even describe them, meaning they had my glasses. After, I told her I would come get them the next day. The next day, I came to pick them up, and when I told them I was there to get my glasses, the Catbird employees told me they couldn't find my glasses, which is wild bc Vanessa just told me the day before they were there. I talked to security and management and no one knew where they were. Catbird just lost my $500 Chanel sunglasses in under 24 hours! How was this possible, especially if I already claimed them? It seems like someone might've taken them. The Management at Catbird (Preston, Collin, Marty) have all been very unhelpful and disrespectful towards me. I know they do not care. They told me they would call me back every time, and every single time, no one has contacted me, making my boyfriend or I have to continuously reach out to them. They had my glasses and they lost them, and are being super unhelpful and uncooperative in helping me locate them. Security - Victor at the Thompson Hotel has told me that there are security cameras in the Lobby but no one has reviewed them and it's been weeks. Why? We have called many times, and No one has given me any updates. I'm fed up with their terrible customer service and them delaying this process but making promises and commitments they don't intend to keep. These glasses are from my grandma who has passed away. They are priceless, and now, Catbird has lost them. If you come to Catbird, make sure you don't lose anything because no one there will help you. They will just keep it for themselves. I have never been treated so terribly by a restaurant or a bar before, which is very disappointing since this labeled as a "upscale cocktail bar"

We arrived early and grabbed pre-dinner cocktails on the patio, which honestly set the tone for the evening. The fire pit tables + evening atmosphere were perfect. We kept it classic with Old Fashioneds and martinis, and both were very well executed. Simple, balanced, and clearly made by someone who knows what they're doing. There was also a blueberry graham cracker cocktail (can't remember the name, unfortunately) that was surprisingly delicious and easily could've been dessert in a glass. The tasting itself was an 8-course menu and absolutely incredible. Since this was a one-night pop-up, I won't go into detail on the food, but every course was thoughtful, creative, and genuinely delicious. One of those meals where you're excited for the next plate the second the last one's cleared. Service really stood out. The team was attentive without hovering, cleaned up seamlessly between courses, and made sure our drinks were never empty. They also offered solid wine pairings that complemented the menu really well and elevated the experience overall. One extra thing that really sealed it for me: after dinner, the second chef Taylor and the owner/manager Tanner came over and hung out with us for a bit. As someone who's a bit of a foodie nerd, I genuinely appreciate when chefs and operators take the time to talk food, concepts, and the thought behind the menu. It made the experience feel personal and intentional, not just transactional. If this pop-up is any indication of what Rye is capable of, it's definitely a place worth returning to. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and a team that clearly cares about the experience. Would absolutely come back.

Garlic Rice Bowl ($13) + Pork Chashu ($2.60): The eggs did not look anything like the picture and there was not a lot of them in general. The flavors were on point though, which I think was thanks to the pork chashu. The cubed chashu looked a bit odd and made me a little wary but the flavors still worked. We also ordered extra fresh garlic which was free and adding it to the fried rice made it more fragrant and flavorful. This was still the best item of the meal. Creamy Tonkatsu Ramen ($24.44): Made with pork and soy broth so it was not as fatty or umami as a regular tonkatsu. It tasted like your average ramen and was not worth the price. We have had Jinya in LA and Vegas and know it can be better. Even though it did not taste particularly fatty, my body felt it and I broke out a bit later that day. Aburi Oshi Sushi Salmon ($11.44): Came with 3 pieces that were just alright. Salmon Poke Tacos ($10.40): Came with 2 small tacos. They packed the poke separately to keep the taco shell crispy, but you do have to assemble everything yourself. The poke itself was not super fresh and this was our least favorite item of the meal.

First I went for breakfast and was immediately greeted by Marianna. Picked a table right by the window and the restaurant had enough room for a large group and lounge seating too. I ordered the Texas Tacos and my friend got the Bacon biscuit sliders. Both were served within 10 minutes and were made with the customizations we specified. (I wanted egg whites only). Food was tasty and fresh. The ease of ordering, the fact that it wasn't crowded and the pleasant service had me return the next day for lunch. I ordered the Salmon Avocado Toast and tried their Acrylic and Canvas. The avocado was AMAAAAAAAAAAZING!!!! It was so filling, but I didn't feel heavy at all (I ordered fries too... don't judge me). When you stay at Canvas Hotel know that the dining options in the hotel will provide everything you need for sure!

The rooftop views are hard to beat, absolutely breathtaking view of the city over the infinity pool. This location is ideal for happy hours and corporate events. Self-Parking is available. The chef was kind enough to make gluten-free dishes for me, including a glazed salmon that was very surprising. I actually don't like salmon and this dish was fantastic. The brussels sprouts...oh my God, the brussels sprouts. I will be dreaming about those brussels sprouts when I wake up tomorrow morning and when I remember them again next week. I just want to go back for a bowl of brussels sprouts lol! I don't know what voodoo was done there, but my God make sure you try it. They are fried in some delicious concoction that I won't even begin to describe. Last, I need to mention the short rib egg rolls- soooo yummmmmy, I had to go back for a second. Totally blew my gluten free diet on this dinner and I was swelling up before I even left, but it was totally worth it!! Also, I want to mention the citrus mocktails are fantastic! Verdict: I would gladly return for happy hour!
