I was able to take advantage of the sauna, the infinity pool, snacks, citrus infused water, locker room, dark chocolate, and complimentary champagne. Adrian was my massage therapist and he was so kind and made sure to honor my request for medium but light pressure! I felt so relaxed! He even took some photos, of me as requested so I'd have them for memories! The view, stellar! Literally so beautiful! Like something out of a postcard! Even though I told her I thought my shoulders and back needed the most work for my deep tissue massage, she suggested working on my entire body after noticing the areas that I've had injuries/strains/tendonitis without me mentioning it to her. She could tell from my body that I was not balanced when I'm sitting down (I blame work), which I had a sense that was the case, but she confirmed it. This was one of the best massages I've had, and before that, I thought nothing could beat the massage I had at Aria in Vegas. I'm still blown away by the fact that Mel could tell what areas of my body needed work when I didn't even tell her. My line of work of physically demanding that requires proper ergonomics to avoid work injuries but that's not always feasible. The spa has great amenities to enjoy after your treatment. There's a great view with an infinity pool where you can dip in or lounge in the chair. I obviously was not prepared for this since I thought I booked the other location. I would recommend you bring a swimsuit if you want to dip in the infinity pool. There's an individual infrared sauna you can also sit in, which was a great sweat session. They also will offer you refreshment to enjoy after your treatment. I ended up getting the POG mimosa, which was tasty. As for parking, you get free complimentary valet up to 4 hours. The front staff will ask you at the end, which was good because I totally forgot I needed to validate it. I will say that there is a huge difference between the cheaper spa massages you can get somewhere else compared to one at a hotel. This one was definitely worth the splurge when you can get a private room with no distractions, be pampered, and then enjoy the amenities at the end. If you're ok with spending that much with a nice view to enjoy at the end, then I would highly recommend you check out this spa!

The free valet was fantastic, and the room was spacious, clean, and had a gorgeous ocean view. We had an issue with our mattress and it was never comfortable. That was the big bummer of the stay. They replaced our mattress after we said something but it didn't fix the issue. When we laid down, we always felt like where laying way back like toward the headboard, feet higher than our head. It may have been a bed frame issue. It wasn't the worst, we just ended sleeping the other way. You have to call housekeeping to get service. That was super easy and they did a great job. All staff on site were wonderful. The grounds were well-kept, and we loved spending time by the pool--there were a few different pools, each with its own unique feel. Surprisingly, we went down the slide several times (haha it's not just for kids). Duke's on the property was a big plus. They had servers taking orders pool side. The food trucks nearby were fantastic, dealing distance away, and so much variety. they're open u til 8pm. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely come back.

Honestly, we had such a great time the first time we were here that we returned for our, super late due to Covid, Honeymoon last month. I love the size and location of the property. From the pools, amenities and the gorgeous view. The rooms are condos that come with kitchens, laundry and balconies. The first time we stayed we did a one bedroom partial ocean, but this time around we did a studio and enjoyed the full ocean view. The staff have spoiled us with some sweet congrats cookies that we really enjoyed. This property also has a Dukes on site which is super convenient. They do get busy though so we've just ordered to-go and enjoyed our food on the balcony. One thing I wish this hotel did have would be a cafe, or some kind of coffee on site. There's a market in the other tower, but the building we stayed in has one under construction. I'm hoping they put a coffee spot because it would be perfect! We love the location and feel when we come here and the included parking is a HUGE plus! I couldn't recommend the Honua Kai more and we look forward to more visits here in the future.

The place is in a strip mall with ample parking. My wife spoke to them and they could fit us in two hours. We went back to our hotel and sat by the pool. They texted my wife to get us in earlier. We packed up and headed to their shop. When we got there we were lead to our room. The rooms were connected with their own enter-trance. My masseuse didn't ask which kind of massage I wanted but she did all different kinds of techniques on me and turns out that is the one I wanted. Wow, she really worked hard on me and at times it was a little painful but not too bad. She could tell that my left arm or shoulder was hurting so she went and worked on that a lot to try to loosen it up. Overall, I really liked the massage and I felt very relaxed after it. She even stood up and standing on my legs, which was weird it didn't hurt so it was fine. I guess that's a Thai technique. The wife had a great massage also and we're happy with this place. I would come here again when we came back to the island. They charge us $189 a piece for a 80 minute massage. I think it was worth the money.

Their old med spa was located on Front St near the Banyan tree. Jenny, the owner lost everything , so sad. Prior to our appointment, we took a tour of the Montage spa and even though it was gorgeous and fancy, we decided to skip it due to the crazy expensive prices, we decided not to go. I called around and got in touch with other massage places, & most places did not offer couples massages in the same room, yet offered same time massage in separate rooms. It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted it to be special. Banyan Tree Spa offered a couple's combo Thai massage (same room) and my hubby and I did the 90 minutes and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It was a wonderful head to toe experience with deep tissue, walking on back with their feet, scalp massage, face massage, foot massage, shiatsu, lomi lomi, hot stone, Swedish, etc. I had "Joy" as my masseuse and my husband had "Sheila" and they did a MAGNIFICENT job! Usually massage places have you fill out a form to point out where you have the problem spots but this place did not. However, Joy was able to take all of my knots out, especially on top of my shoulder area/traps & scapula area (hard to reach knots places. She knew exactly where all the knots were hidden and was able to smooth them out.It was heavenly and I didn't want her to stop. I didn't even have to tell her where to massage or push harder. I had lots of drooling and tears come out with different emotions. I cried during my massage knowing that a dear friend has days left to live battling brain cancer and also in addition of Lahaina town gone from the tragedy. First of my concerns is the price of a day pass, which is now over $180 for only three hours. I'm not sure if/how they enforce this (we don't check in/out at any point), but having to constantly check the clock is the opposite of relaxing. For that price, it should offer all-day entry. Secondly, my last visit was poorly stocked. The piles of towels have been reduced, and sandals had to be pulled out of a locker. The sunscreen pump was empty in the co-ed area, and I had to notify the front desk as I could not find an attendant. It appears their partnership was ended with the skincare company that used to provide products at the vanity, and the iced towels by the steam room were quickly sitting in a bowl of water. Third, the service was brusque. My tour was given by an attendant (Aaron) who seemed strangely nervous, but my partner did not receive a tour at all. Her attendant just said, "here's your locker," and left. My partner had to seek out and ask the attendant (who was now giving a tour to a different guest) for sandals and was brushed off. She ended up getting lost multiple times, as the hallways and doors can be confusing at first. When I went to report the sunscreen, the front desk attendant interrupted me with her hand and said, "sunscreen, got it," and got on the phone, so I couldn't even tell her about my girlfriend's lack of an orientation tour. Finally, it's been years, but they used to have drinks available. One of my favorite Hawaiian memories involved sipping on a chocolate banana smoothie by the pool. Now the cafe is a gift shop with almost nothing for men, and when I was there, no one running it. I still love being here and enjoying the gorgeous amenities - going nude in the men's area and cycling between the sauna / rainfall shower / whirlpool jacuzzi / steam room is bliss.
