I wouldn't recommend this massage spa. The air conditioner was not working. They only had a small room air conditioner and it kept switching off. The technician didn't have a firm touch, not working the muscles . She only waved her hands over my body, using oil. Then they insisted on a tip. I wouldn't be going back there. read more

I booked an 80 minute Thai, deep tissue. Did not disappoint! Very nice and clean place with a kind welcome. I like to get what I pay for and this place did the trick. Feeling clear and refreshed. I will book again. Thank you! Evan read more

Just had a beachfront massage from Miriam. Amazing and so relaxing. Miriam is super friendly and used just the right touch for me as I can get hives from too much pressure. She really knows what she is doing. I also had booked for the evening and the winds are bad, so they nicely suggested that I reschedule to a morning appointment which was extremely wise. Loved evrything and am so refreshed to start my day read more

Absolutely Horrific Experience - Do Not Book If I could give negative stars, I would. This was not just a bad massage--it was an appalling, humiliating, and deeply disturbing experience that should serve as a public warning. We booked a beachfront couples massage in Maui and instead were dumped in a garden area with people walking by, no privacy, and no semblance of professionalism. I, a woman, was told to undress in public under a thin, translucent sheet--in full view of strangers. My husband was told to do the same. No changing rooms, no curtains, no dignity. The "massage tables" were covered in reused, stained, foul-smelling sheets that felt like they'd been pulled off a beach towel rack from the previous week. Hygiene was nonexistent. The staff clearly had no real training--my massage was so aggressive and careless it triggered sciatic nerve pain I've never experienced before, despite years of massages elsewhere. We booked a couples massage and were not even placed together. Afterward, drenched in oil and discomfort, we asked for a shower or any place to change. The answer? No showers. No changing rooms. Dress in public under the same dirty sheets. And to add insult to injury--they charged my card twice. This is not a wellness business--it's a scam operation masquerading as a luxury service. They violate basic health codes, ethical standards, and customer safety. This place should be investigated, shut down, and barred from operating until it understands the meaning of professionalism, hygiene, and basic human decency. Avoid at all costs. You're better off rubbing sand on yourself by the ocean than stepping foot here. read more

Massage was just ok but very weak. Shorted us on time and then up charged $20 for deep tissue after the massage because my wife asked them to massage a little harder. Didn't tell us about the up charge till after. Felt like a racket from the moment we walked in and the intuition was right. read more

Massage Maui - Moonlight surf - Day Spas Near Me - Kihei, Hawaii

I don't usually write reviews, especially bad ones but I can't let other people have this experience. My best friend and I booked a beachfront massage. "Beachfront" meant we were in the grass part of in the middle of a hotel complex. People were doing yard work around, people were talking on their balconies, and people were walking around us. It was very public. Also, we had to undress there. It was really uncomfortable. On top of that, the actual massage itself was the WORST I have ever received. She did not ask my pressure preference and it was like a light back rub that did not even feel good. I cannot imagine that she has a massage license. It ended up being $170 with an 18% tip included because I felt bad that we arrived late. DO. NOT. GET. MASSAGES. HERE. read more

Had such a great experience with Massage Maui while staying in Kihei. Fortunately they were conveniently located in the Sugar Beach Resort, so if you stay there it's super easy to get to from your accommodation. I called and asked if I could book any availability, fully expecting for them to be all booked, and to my surprise, they were able to have me booked for 90 minutes deep tissue massage with Chi within 2 hours. The massage studio was right in the center office area of the complex. Chi did a wonderful job of working out tension, great pressure and attentive to feedback. I had mentioned I had some mild sciatica and Chi carried out some stretches that really helped relieve a lot of that nagging pain Left feeling massive reduction in shoulder & neck tension. Would most definitely visit again. read more

Best massage on Maui!!! We are staying at a luxury resort and decided to try something local. I debated about writing a review because I don't want this secret to get out. Lisa is a straight shooter and did what she promised. I decided to schedule as we wanted a beach couple massage. Here is the difference, some places wanted your firstborn to secure an appointment. Lisa did not do that and they practice business from an Ohana lens. No upfront fees, and added so many perks! For those (no shower and last-minute cancellations- don't ruin it for the rest of us)! We booked a beachside couple massage and when we got there, it was super windy -tradewinds. They gave us an option to move inside. We were reluctant but glad we did because they added in hot towels, hot stone, and aromatic therapy! Apparently, these perks can't be done outside. The massages were better than our luxury resort and the mainland. Don't underestimate Co and Anetta's skills! Being in healthcare, we both needed to get kinks worked out and they did just this! Lisa even offer us a discount to come back and try out the beachside as originally planned. We will come back when visiting Maui again. read more

Chi gave my fiancé and I great massages. She was friendly and able to help my lower back pain. A plus for me was the cocktail lounge/restaurant around the corner that served beers so deliciously cold that they were nearly as therapeutic as the massage. If you want a great massage from a personable massage therapist in a clean and simple setting, this is the place. read more

Was impressed with the quality of the massage I got. Never felt so relaxed!!! Mariam was fantastic, she was extremely professional in every way possible! The place was very eclectic, but had a cool wispy vibe. looks like some construction going on up top but my room was very clean and spacious. Highly recommended very accommodating! read more

My husband and I went for couples massage at keihi location. Was one of the best we ever had! Great technique with both therapists! Pressure points, good constant pressure, and mixed in was some new technique we've never experienced. Loved it! Needed it! Price was great! Paid double in Napilli and wasn't as good. Great communication and response time. Just wish we would have gone several times while we were here! Love the funky vibe of the place very peaceful! Thankful and grateful! read more

Perfect mother-daughter spa day! We planned a staycation and wanted to add in a spa experience. But the hotel spa prices were so expensive, even with a kamaaiana discount. Massage Maui had a mother-daughter spa package that included massages, facials, and foot scrubs with aromatherapy for $250! Plus they offer a kamaaina discount and they had a $250 voucher available on Yelp for $200. The massages were amazing! They accommodate your requests for the type of massage you want. The facials were relaxing and the foot scrub was invigorating. The staff is so friendly and professional. It was a great mother-daughter activity at an affordable price. read more

I'm surprised this place is still in business. In October (2022) I booked a massage with the owner on the phone 3 days in advance, showed up on time, was finally (after rattling the locked door) met by a sullen woman who consulted her phone and could only say "No booking. Owner not here" repeatedly. No offer to call or do anything. The place was tiny and didn't look clean. After driving over an hour to get there (I live on the other side of the island), I left in disgust. read more

I live in NYC and receive massages frequently and I have to give this place 5 stars. Chi was a magical practitioner. She has a light touch, which normally I am not a fan of, but she brilliantly manipulated my muscles into relaxing without all the uncomfortable pressure. The atmosphere was welcoming and soothing (as well as clean clean clean) and I felt like Chi treated me as if I were one of her own. She's special. I entirely recommend this place. Go ahead treat yourself. read more

I have had my share of massages in my life and my massage today was maybe the best one I ever had. Both my husband and I had hour long massages that were a perfect blend of shiatsu, Swedish, Lomi Lomi. Our bodies felt relaxed and rejuvenated. Mirabai- Mira for short. Had an amazing energy! Would highly recommend!! read more

I do not recommend Melanie. Had a very disappointing massage with her, she just seemed to passively touch on different areas without really focusing or working on anything in particular. It was relaxing but did not do much good for my aching neck, shoulders and back. It was neither pleasurable nor productive. An hour later I walked out feeling about the same as I did when I came in. read more

Booked a couples massage, but decided to leave immediately because.... first of all booking the appointment was strange via text. The person was so wishy washy and seemed pushy. When she confirmed the appointment she didn't even try the time right despite the back and forth on the text. Upon arrival to the place, the sign on the door stated to go around to the other store front for entrance and then we were told no go back. When we entered the massage place, no one was present to greet us and we looked around and noticed everything was dusty and dirty looking. As we sat waiting, a woman showed up and was not very warm and welcoming. The environment was not appealing or calming at all. The room where the massage took place was partitioned off by a collapsible partitioned wall which didn't feel private enough. And it was warm with no air conditioning and felt bad because the massage therapist that stepped out was dripping in sweat. Anyway, overall it was not a great experience. read more

Horrible massage experience, unprofessional, dirty, left feeling like I had for sure just contracted a disease. I think they used cooking oil for the massage oil. I never complain about anything but DO NOT go here. read more

Amor is the best!!! Did a deep tissue massage and he was very thorough with great technique and deep pressure points.

I've had a lot of massages in the past. This one was a good price for the length, $150 for 1.5 hrs. Downside of a beach front massage was that it was next to a hotel where you could hear their AC unit the whole time. The waves were peaceful but it was not as secluded as I had hoped. Nothing fancy about the massage, but Gia did amazing work on my back and shoulders. read more

Such a wonderful and relaxing massage and facial. I am so glad I booked with Massage Maui! We had a side by side mother-daughter experience that was really great. The products used for the facials are amazing, our skin felt refreshed and wonderful! The massage was perfect, the studio was really cute and felt quite cozy. Great location, we walked behind the hotel and sat on a lounge near the ocean before going in for our appointment time. Thank you so much for being flexible enough to fit me in a same day booking! read more

Great place to get a massage and facial. Heather and Amor were excellent. Highly recommend this place.

If you are looking for a beachside massage, this is not the place. Do not book here! This is definitely not the place you would want to go for a massage if you are on your honeymoon or any vacation at all. I made an appointment for a couples beachside massage for my husband and I. When I made the reservation, the receptionist suggested that we make it in the morning because it won't be too hot. So, we agree on 10:00 am. My husband and I show up at the scheduled time and Antoinetta starts to escort us to the room off the lobby. When I asked why we weren't going outside she had a defensive tone and said it's too windy and they didn't have a cabana ready. I would have been fine with that explanation if she was forthcoming about it. But, she was just going to ignore the fact that we reserved a beachside couples massage and just pretend that we didn't request that. That is what is not acceptable. The place is run-down/shabby, and I know they can't control what is going on outside, but you could hear weed-whacker for some of the 1.5 hour massage. It wouldn't be fair if I wasn't completely honest - Antoinetta gave a great massage! My husband requested a deep-tissue massage and wanted a "forceful massage" with a lot pressure and he was very happy with his masseuse!! I am giving them 1-star for the sheer fact that Antionetta wasn't going to acknowledge that we requested a beachside massage, she just wanted to push that part under the rug. That is very unprofessional. read more

If you think of a massage as the sounds of lawn mowers, traffic and massage therapists that show up 15 minutes late, this is the place for you. I scheduled two massages for my wife and I on the first day of our anniversary trip, showed up and we were there 2-3 minutes before the nervous therapist introduced herself. She kept making excuses and finally put us in rooms, my wife went with the present therapist, I waited.and because the other person wasn't there, she flitted back and forth between us. The other therapist finally showed up +15 minutes late. She did a massage that only comes in second to the worst massage I have ever had. This is in part because she was late so no connection or asking if I had any trouble areas. I ended leaving not much more relaxed than I arrived. I think this is a problem when you hire contractors, who have no stake in your business. Location not ideal Massage therapist not ideal Pick someplace else read more

Messed up my shoulder while on a business trip, and decided to see if these guys could do something to help before getting back on an airplane for a really long flight. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a very unprofessional business. There is no dedicated receptionist, you talk to the person (who is very nice) in the nearby tourist center who texts on her phone to the owner, who evidently can't be bothered to attend her own business or pay for a receptionist or therapists to remain on site. There were no therapists available, and after walking around the building, I was actually relieved. It's a horrible location, in a really bad strip mall and with a lot of noise. Lastly, a half hour massage, priced at $50-55, is only 20 minutes! After reading the other reviews it sounds like I dodged a bullet... read more

Great massage from Jessica! It's unfortunate she got double booked because I sure would have loved an hour and a half. She incorporated Lomi Lomi and Swedish techniques to really get the knots out. An hour is usually $95 but I was lucky to receive the kama'aina (locals) discount. Hopefully next time I'm back I can get the full hour and a half or try their out call service for a massage on the beach! Then I can give the place a full 5 stars! read more

I love this place and I return here every time I come to Maui. They have the most skilled massage therapists I have ever had. Also the private yoga outside by the ocean is amazing. Beautiful experience especially when you're staying anywhere on Sugar Beach and you can walk to get a massage or do yoga outside. read more

Yes, the space is sub-standard. Yes, there are outside influences that would be disturbing if you let it. Yes, there is laughter and some noise from the restaurant-bar next door. SO WHAT !! With therapists as good and tuned in as Stephanie L. and Ginger, it does NOT matter. They are 10 stars, so, if the facility is a 1 star, its worth my 5. Im not there for "serenity", Im there for BODY WORK. Both are superb! Any disturbance is easily tuned out with the expert touch of a great healer. If you need tranquility, go somewhere like Luana in Hana or pay $250-300 for a treatment at Travassa. If you want REAL muscle relief and body healing, both of these wonderful therapists come highly recommended. Get some earplugs or use earbuds for your music. read more

I'm only giving this one star because zero wasn't an option. This was BY FAR the absolute worst "spa" treatment I've ever had. Let's start off with the cons: -No restroom in the facility (how can you be a "spa" with no restroom?) -No separate private rooms, massage tables are separated by curtains and blocked off by folding screens. - we booked the "chocolate madness" package but didn't get a single drop of chocolate product used on us - the "facial" was not 30 minutes, it was something I could have done at home by myself, in fact the massage therapist actually told me I could do it by myself - no latte or mocha offered as advertised. Just a glass of water in a wine glass that had been sitting on the counter when we arrived - noise from the restaurant and outside made it impossible to relax - when I complained, the owner offered to make a "gift basket" of the products that were supposed to be used on us and said the latte that is usually offered didn't happen because she had a family emergency and couldn't get them so told me to call her from starbucks?! - cobwebs on the ceiling OVERALL ... FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I WILL be contacting the BBB to report this. Pros: The worker was very nice. I would have paid for the massage, but $180 for a mediocre massage is a bit overpriced in such a ghetto location. SAVE YOUR MONEY OR SPEND IT ELSEWHERE!! read more

How do I give negative reviews??? Okay...first off I never actually had massage services from here...but here is what happened with my encounter with this so called masseuse establishment... Made a couples massage to be on the beach and let the woman know on the phone we were on our honeymoon and it was our last day on the island so I wanted this to be really special. My husband and I arrive and FIRST off the smell was terrible, a mixture between food and essential oils, the building decor is awful and far from a relaxing environment. SECOND there was a man who just finished with his massage and he is at the front desk trying to pay and leave. Super awkward encounter with him and the woman working there, about payment, a bunch of confusion ensued between them for over 5 minutes while we're sitting right there having to watch and listen. THIRD another woman walks in, doesn't even acknowledge us and walks in the back. She comes out and only asks if we need to use the restroom, which we did, however it was completely out of the building down a long walkway. When we get back the woman proceeds to try to show us to our masseuse room and I explain that I actually made a beachside couples massage. FORTH issue...she responds "oh you know that is extra?". Yes I do know that, that's why I why I spoke to a woman yesterday and asked her all my questions and scheduled the beachside massage. FIFTH she says okay well we're not set up for that it's going to take 5 minutes extra to get that ready. She leaves and goes to the beach to set up. Then the woman who was behind the counter says "I've never done a beachside massage so I have no clue where I'm going". SIXTH issue...I try to explain to her that I'm not feeling very comfortable about the start of this experience...and she says to us in a super moody tone: "I've been doing this for 30 years I know what I'm doing, I've just never worked at this location before so I just don't know where to go, but I've been a masseuse for a long time, trust me I know what I'm doing." Okay...now we're really not feeling relaxed with the tone she spoke to us in on top of everything else. I tell her we're going to go somewhere else as we just aren't feeling very comfortable, relaxed, welcomed, etc. She just says "are you sure?" "Um yes...sorry to waste your time." I couldn't run out of there fast enough. read more

Very disappointed.... SO I had booked an appointment for the Valley Isle Day Spa, which used to be this address: 847 S Kihei Rd #205 But when I called the usual number and booked my massage thinking I'd be at the same location at the end of the phone call, the lady said they had moved to a new location, which ended up being this "Maui Massage" location. I had never been here before so I figured nothing to it, they just happened to move no big deal but when I got there...it was one big room with no separate massage rooms, no service and it was a complete downgrade from the Valley Isle Day Spa location that had just renovated with a changing room, waiting room, separate massage rooms, fresh water with pineapple. WHAT HAPPENED? I just honestly felt like I was mislead from this business. The massage was just okay.. and the noise from the restaurant next door and the cars on the highway as background noise was horrible. And in comparison to the original Valley Isle Day Spa location and amazing service, this was a complete downgrade for the money spent. It obviously was a management/proprietary issue but there was no explanation to me as their repeat customer. It felt like perhaps one owner or staff member kept the original phone number and client list but the new location and service was very disappointing... I still need to look into the original address location to see if it's still a spa but I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else. I'm sure there's more to their business story but I am just basing it off of my experience and felt misguided as an original customer of Valley Isle Day Spa. If anyone else knows what happened, please let me know. read more
