I took the Aerial yoga class on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the day before my birthday, and it felt like such a beautifully curated experience. The instructor was professional, focused, and intentional, and the combination of meditation and movement left me feeling grounded and refreshed. I'd absolutely do it again and recommend it to others. Namaste! read more

Home for a few days, and I decided to take up an aerial yoga class and I had a great experience! She is very humble and helps beginners like me feel comfortable. Class itself is so satisfying, and I wish I could attend more often. It is so much more fun than a traditional yoga. I would highly recommend this class either when you are visiting Maui or locally live in the area.It is very beneficial to mind and body, very uplifting. read more

Class size is small and the sessions feel highly personalized. Instructor Dre has a wonderfully calming and supportive demeanor. The aerial experience is a truly uplifting one, allowing for deeper stretches and therapeutic inversions. And the open-air setting overlooking the south Maui coast cannot be beat. read more

I enrolled for aerial yoga the week they opened after covid closure. Super impressed with their protocols to keep guests safe. The instructor is very kind and understanding. The class was limited to 4 people spaced wide apart and ranged from noobs to experienced yogis. The silks are of superior quality and the teacher makes everyone feel comfortable. Parking is plenty and location easy to find. At the end of the class, they gave fresh towel with aromatherapy with lemongrass and few more essence. Its was heavenly. I highly recommend this place. read more

My friend Jen suggested I come and try this aerial yoga class with her. I had been seeing it pop up on social media and decided to give it a whirl. I DID look like so much fun and I like to workout, so I had to give it a go! It's at the Hotel Wailea. Free parking. Flavored water. Friendly staff. Beautiful ocean views. I'll add this: I'm not super flexible. But it didn't matter. Dre warms the class up and gently gets people put into position. And some of those real deep stretches, are really good to get. Some of the moves look intimidating, but she carefully walks you through them, and right past the nervousness. I feel muscles working that I didn't know that I had. I push myself and work on balance, posture and breath. I felt a little nervous my first time, but with each class, it gets easier--or maybe I'm getting stronger and more confident? I think that's that it. Dre makes each class different and lots of fun. She will modify as needed. At the end of the class, we go into our slings (like a cocoon) and had a lavender scented cloth put over our eyes while Dre walked us through a super calming mediation. I never want it to end--it's so good. How long has it been since you've hung upside down? It's quite the interesting feeling as an adult. I close my eyes, breathe in the good stuff and let the other junk goooooooo.. I suggest giving it a whirl. read more

Wooowie! Of the hundreds of yoga classes I've attended, this class was one of my absolute all-time favorites! The silks support you in such a way that you can relax into the poses more easily, facilitating a gentle but deep stretch I the various asana she took us through. Dre is kind, acutely aware of all her students and their needs, and holds a deeply peaceful space for you to go deep into awareness. It's such a relief to find her- so many classes are completely devoid of any kind of spirituality and others are just way too woo woo unicorn glitter-fairy for me. She's weaves in just the right amount of conscious coaching to get you in that etheric, healing zone without a whole lot of dramatic Star-seed flower-child talk. Some of you may be wondering why the price is higher than most other yoga classes... until you get there. The space is GORGEOUS! The grounds of the Hotel Wailea are Woooow! More importantly, there are only about 8 silks available so class size is very limited thus the amount they can make per class is capped at a pretty low number. This is advantageous to the students for personal attention and not having someone sweating & breathing all over you... you know what I'm talking about Bikram fans! Buy a package and save some money. Also ask about the Kamaaina new student special if you're local. I'll be going every Saturday morning at 8:30 for as long as I can. Mahalo Dre! read more

Had my second class at uplift Maui. Loved it! I am no gymnast and no prior aerial experience yet the patient and experienced instructor made it easy! It was a great strength and stretch with the added benefit of inversion hanging from the silks. read more

I just finished my 3rd class at Uplift Maui and I am definitely hooked. Last Saturday 3 of my friends and I took the aerial yoga basic class. I was a little nervous because I'm a yoga novice and I'm not as limber as I'd like to be. Dre is an amazing instructor! She gave us very easy instructions to follow as well as demonstrating each move for us beginners. There are always options for the more advanced as well as those who might have been struggling a bit. Everyone was made to feel comfortable and honor what was comfortable for them and their bodies. Her voice is very soothing and I felt that this class was not only beneficial physically but mentally and emotionally. She guided us through our breathing and so I felt like it was meditation along with the exercise. It doesn't hurt that you're staring off into an amazing Ocean View during this class. I went back a few days later after work for her restorative gentle yoga class. This one involved more stretching and breathing and I felt would help me be more limber for the other more advanced classes I wanted to take. I left that class feeling so relaxed I slept like a baby that night. I went back this morning for the Ariel yoga Basics again. I plan to continue this every week and eventually hope to step up to a more advanced class. Keep up the great work Dre! read more

This class was an amazing experience! I have done yoga in the past but had never tried aerial yoga before. While vacationing in Maui, this class was offered for free by Hotel Wailea where we were staying so I thought to give it a try. One of the best decisions I have made in this year ;) Dre is not only a thorough professional and amazing teacher, she cares for each of her students and takes entire class on a unforgettable journey!! She made us push our limits yet gently reminded us to listen to our bodies - I came out of this class refreshed and rejuvenated. Thanks so much Dre read more

Loved the environment being an open air space. The soundbath I went to was truly amazing. Aromas, sounds, vibrations, the energy and the light beaming off of those who put it on just made it an A+ experience. I cant wait for the next event. read more

I took the beginner aerial silks series with Dre (five classes) and loved every minute of it. Challenging & far outside my comfort zone, I never thought I'd try something like this -- but I seriously looked forward to Monday mornings because of this class. Dre is awesomely patient & a fantastic instructor. You couldn't ask for a better location, too -- an ocean view from the beautiful Hotel Wailea? Yes, please. Whether you're on vacation (aerial yoga to start your day!) or a Maui local looking to try something new, definitely consider Uplift Maui! read more

I loved my first class at Uplift Maui! The classes are held in a gorgeous open-air studio with an epic ocean view. Dre, our instructor, led us through a unique and dynamic yoga class using the aerial silks as a prop that allowed us to move more fully and successfully into otherwise more challenging yoga poses. It was a very "uplifting" experience and I recommend this class to anyone ready to try something new and expand the body mind and spirit into new dimensions! read more

Dre is a great teacher! She is very encouraging and did well handling two different leveled groups, beginners and advanced. We signed up for the kamaaina deal and I'm excited to try it again. The facility is gorgeous, worth it alone to check out Hotel Wailea. Such a lovely space! There was even a sitting area for my husband and baby to hang out in. Thanks so much Dre! read more

Uplift Maui is seriously the best studio that I have ever been to. Having never done aerial yoga or silks before, I was a bit nervous at first. I hadn't consistently exercised in years and I feared that I wouldn't be strong enough. Dre (studio owner) was incredibly inviting and welcoming. The basic class was the perfect place for me to start. It was fun, inspiring, and relaxing all at the same time. I immediately fell in love the experience and found myself in the beginner class twice a week. Dre gently guided and encouraged me as I started to get more comfortable and stronger as well. Soon, I was signing up for the beginner silks class too! After that, I was definitely hooked. Beyond the awesomeness of Dre, her classes, and the beautiful space, the community at Uplift Maui is another perk that I couldn't have imagined. Everyone is incredibly kind, supportive, and fun to be around. Dre's kindness, attention to detail, and passion for her students is unprecedented and infectious. I am truly honored to be a part of Uplift Maui. read more

Dre helped me organize a private aerial silks class for a bachelorette party. We could not stop talking about the experience. The class was amazing and Dre was absolutely wonderful. This was the first time any of us had tried aerial silks, but she made us feel very comfortable and gave each of us individual attention. We'll never in a million years be as graceful as Dre, but each of us came away with a ton of laughs and a solid workout. Thank you for bearing with our rowdy group, and letting us invade your peaceful and beautiful studio. read more
