I am so grateful and impressed by the tenaciousness of this dance company in overcoming obstacles! The quote "the show must go on" definitely applies to them and in this regard they have won my heart and loyalty forever! My older daughter has blossomed in their care and now I believe she can go anywhere in the world and dance among the best-trained ballet dancers. My goal was to learn as much as I possibly could in a short amount of time, and working with Rita O'Connor at Private Image Studio was hands-down one of the highlights of my trip. Rita is an exceptional teacher--gracious, incredibly patient, and truly gifted at breaking things down in a way that builds confidence quickly. Because of her, I felt genuinely prepared to return home and continue learning salsa in a group setting, having already built a solid foundation through our private lessons. One of the best parts was that I was even able to attend a salsa dance party the week before New Year's Eve and actually dance--practicing everything I had learned with multiple partners, many of whom were also Rita's students. That experience alone was such a testament to how effective her teaching is. Rita went above and beyond in every way. She even brought her husband in as a second dance partner so I could learn and practice the steps from different leads. At the end of each lesson, she made sure we videotaped the steps--both her demonstrating and me dancing--so I could practice between sessions and see my progress throughout the week. That extra level of care made such a difference. I can't recommend Rita highly enough if you're considering private salsa lessons, whether you're visiting Maui or live locally. I absolutely can't wait to come back to Maui and take more lessons with her. She's truly amazing.

The venue is beautiful and have plenty of space. We were seated towards the back so it a bit more difficult to pay attention and hear. The show was decent but it didn't start until later and it was paced out pretty slow. The whole event seems to be longer than needed.. from 4:30-8ish but it was nice to experience sunset here. Food was actually decent. A lot of places are ayce but this was family-style. Service was great and they kept refilling our food to make sure we're never empty. The short ribs were the best. Poke was good and simple, fish was a bit dry, salad was refreshing, but fruits were surprisingly not as sweet as I thought it would be in Maui. It's also aycd at the bar but the cocktails were very sweet. I learned to just order shots. They also have coffee and tea available. They had a cool tattoo and cute flower station too. I will be back if I have more visitors.

Candy leads a lovely beach yoga session (she offers both private and group sessions)- she is flexible and accommodating. We coordinated by text, as she usually only has a group session if there are at least 2-3 participants. (My group session as a visitor was $20 for an hour). We met at a secluded beach in Waimea and only had to bring beach towels. She gave us useful tips on how to yoga without getting sand all over. The class was suitable for any level, as it was a gentle, flow style yoga. The point is to be in sync with the ocean, learn some Hawaiian, and just feel your toes in the sand. Mahalo, Candy!

Each class is once week for 45 minutes. It's a fun, interactive class of singing dancing, rhythm instruments, coloring, storybooks, music terminology, finger plays and music history. She absolutely enjoyed this class and it's a great intro to the piano for when she transitions to private lessons down the line. Looking forward to signing her up for the next Kiddy Keys session.

Deni…read moremade me feel so stupid on multiple accounts when I moved out of a pose because it was hurting or didn't feel right. So much for listening to my body. This was not a peaceful or enjoyable experience at all. She was very abrasive. I was very excited for class to be over. Not to mention I paid $33 for a drop-in which is the most expensive drop-in I've ever seen by far.
