Excellent experience! Tatiana was my masseuse and she was incredible. I work remotely and my neck and shoulders are pretty beat up from spending time hunched over a laptop. I asked her to focus on this and avoid areas where I had skin issues. She was very attentive and focused on my problem areas. I feel amazing following my massage and she did such a great job! Tatiana was very professional and thorough. The experience overall was fantastic. Brooklyn checked me in and was very polite and helpful. The price for the experience however is not justified in my opinion. FOR THE PRICE, there is no spa experience here. The photos shown with ambience and views were not there. The room I was in was so bright, zero ambience. Dirty ceiling tiles from something dripping though the tiles.. sorry when it's hard to relax and you're face up then you notice the bad ceiling. The table linens were torn. Robe was very tired. Why was it so bright in the room?? Where are the rooms shown in the photos on Yelp? This trip was a once in a decade splurge for me and this spa visit was my treat to myself but I left feeling so let down and ripped off. I hate to give such a review because the therapist was nice but I couldn't relax and the rest of it was such a let down. Just sad because I couldn't relax have gone somewhere else. read more

She really responded to my body when determining the pressure I didn't have to tell her harder or softer she adjusted with different body areas and gave me a helpful tip in preventing tension in the future! This place left a lot to be desired considering the price. At the front desk I was greeted nicely and was walked back to the lockers. That's when it all went down hill from there. The changing room was dusty and dingy. The counter had old looking toiletries that were dusty. Then I was given a key to my locker where I found an old holy robe from the 80s. This robe should have never made into circulation. My first thought was to scan to make sure it was clean; not the relaxing experience you pay $178 for. The massage that followed was o-kay, nothing to rave about. Afterwards, as I was paying I told the front desk lady about the robe and she ONLY TOOK OFF $5.70 from my bill. What an INSULT. My husband and I went here and signed up for the Lover's Special massage. The entrance, reception, and aesthetics looked very appealing which caught my eye so I was compelled! Unfortunately, I wasn't as pleased with the massage..my massage therapist was pleasant and nice but..I was not impressed. I was also a bit confused as our expectation upon signing up for the lovers package massage, we were under the impression there were services included such as hot stones, etc but my therapist in the room asked me if I wanted those services at an added cost. She also asked me if I signed up for a Swedish massage..haha!! I'm like, is the Swedish massage the type of massage in the lovers package?? Either way, I'm a noob at massages being my first time getting one. Could be my mistake for misunderstanding but I felt a bit mislead. James is amazing. He has now ruined hot stones for me because no one uses them like he does. He managed to break down some of my "permanent" knots in my shoulders, neck, and back. More than worth the $25 upgrade (on a 90 min massage). Prices have a typical on-site hotel mark up vs. what I could get at home, but really not too bad. Only complaint was scheduling. Called multiple times for a couple days, never reached anyone, but did leave a message once. After 48 hrs with no reply, I just walked over there. Sat in the waiting area for about 15 min before anyone came. Once she did, it was easy enough to find a time. A slight inconvenience, but to be expected with the current labor shortage everywhere. read more

A very small place, nothing fancy. The place is clean and quite. When you walk in the guest services representative at the desk will great you. They walk you to the locker room assign you a key and let you get ready for your treatment. The one suggestion is that the robes are not one size fits all. The robes are left in the locker and if your robe doesn't fit you will have to get dressed and ask for a new robe from the representative at the front. They should change the robe sizes or put an intercom to call up front, or provide an area where guest can get other sizes. Once you are ready you walk into a lobby area to complete paperwork, you can drink water, and the therapist will come to get you and introduce themselves. The therapist are friendly and the 1 hr massage I had was very relaxing. I would definitely go back. read more

Be aware - this is not a proper full spa. No robes, no lockers, no amenities, no relaxing ambiance. You go in, change in the room, and you leave oily. Front desk is rather rude and unapologetic. The massage was ok. Room was bright and noisy, not sure what noise was from, guessing loud HVAC. Tip is mandatory and my 90min massage with scalp treatment came to $394. This spa is at the Honua Kai where I've stayed 5 times now. This last trip, I decided to try their spa. The only reason I had never been before is because it is outrageously expensive and there are no facilities to speak of. All this spa offers is a salt room, which I would say is meh. I got a 50-minute massage and it cost $175 with the 20% gratuity they add on. The massage was good, but needs to be out of this world to justify paying the excessively high fee. read more

Unfortunately one of the worst massages we have had! My husband and I booked a couple's massage on our honeymoon that landed us in separate rooms. My massage therapist stated she didn't know how to use the table and had never used that room before. Then she saw laundry on the floor and instead of picking it up, told me she didn't know why it was there and left it on the ground. As for my massage, it was not as relaxing as I would have hoped. The technique was nice but my therapist kept talking about her ex husband and how COVID was going to come back. Not what I want to talk about to relax on my vacation. My husband had the same experience with his massage therapist. She was talking about how "fascist and corrupt our country was". Don't get us wrong, we don't mind a little conversation during a massage, but this was too much and felt very unprofessional. I am not sure if we were allowed to use the locker rooms or were supposed to be offered robes, but we did not get any of those experiences. We were hoping for such a great spa experience at a wonderful resort but this was not the case at all. We won't be getting a massage here again. This experience was definitely not worth the price. ***Updated*** Kat, the massage director, personally contacted me on my cell phone to apologize about this experience. She was very kind and wanted to get down to the bottom of this. She is taking the appropriate action to make sure this does not happen again for anyone that receives a massage. We greatly appreciate Kat taking the time to call us and understand our experience. She went above and beyond to make her follow up great and I looking forward to working with Kat the next time we visit the resort. My husband and I had a couple's massage with Sunhee and Scotty as our massage therapists. Their expertise and kindness was obvious and they made our afternoon a perfect one. They made sure to check in about the temperature of the table, pressure, and they had a good feel for what the muscles needed. Over the phone we were quoted a different price for a couples massage - we ended up paying over $500 for a couples massage and facial/massage. The massage was equal to a Massage Envy massage - nothing too special or different. My husband was really sore after and felt bruised. I feel terrible for saying this, but it is true - I received the worst massage here on Tuesday. I had the pre-natal massage, and my husband had a Swedish massage. The masseuse was professional and nice enough, but her massage skills were where the 2 stars come from. She rushed the entire massage; instead of the rubbing motion being slow and smooth, every moment was hurried, it felt as if I was being given an Indian burn. Her fingers felt boney :( and was painful when she rubbed/poked, especially at my lower back (which isn't especially sensitive) and the tops of my feet (but she missed the bottom of my feet?). I left feeling pretty bummed, but chalked it up as a miss. My husband was scheduled next. We staggered our times because our little one was napping, so we took turns, and because of this wound up getting the same masseuse. He had the same exact experience and was annoyed when he got back to the room. We compared and realizes it was the same girl! I understand it is a small spa with limited to no frill besides the salt room, with a tiny lounge/shower meant for one person at a time. I understand it is not a luxury spa, but the services received were sub-par. We left disappointed and annoyed at spending ~$400, and the next day sore with my lower back sensitive to touch. Be wary before booking and lower your expectations. read more
