I went online and booked everything thru their very easy scheduling system. I opted for the 90 minute Thai massage. I got there a little early and was greeted by Kim. I filled out my intake forms and then she got acquainted with my expectations and problem areas. It was such a great massage. She is so strong and worked on all my requests. The place is in a strip mall with ample parking. My wife spoke to them and they could fit us in two hours. We went back to our hotel and sat by the pool. They texted my wife to get us in earlier. We packed up and headed to their shop. When we got there we were lead to our room. The rooms were connected with their own enter-trance. My masseuse didn't ask which kind of massage I wanted but she did all different kinds of techniques on me and turns out that is the one I wanted. Wow, she really worked hard on me and at times it was a little painful but not too bad. She could tell that my left arm or shoulder was hurting so she went and worked on that a lot to try to loosen it up. Overall, I really liked the massage and I felt very relaxed after it. She even stood up and standing on my legs, which was weird it didn't hurt so it was fine. I guess that's a Thai technique. The wife had a great massage also and we're happy with this place. Malia and Ashley kindly greeted us and brought us to the couple's room where we got settled in. My husband said his massage was really relaxing and Ashley was able to hit a lot of pressure points he didn't know were sore and tired. Malia was AMAZING, there was a point she used hot stone on my foot, and it was hurting so much due to the plantar fasciitis, but I knew I had to endure it. She really focused on the calves and foot with heat and helped me feel relax and comfortable. After the massage, Malia really took the time to explain home remedies and what I should do to help with plantar fasciitis. Overall, 808 Wellness Spa was amazing! Kiley, my masseuse was really good. I asked him to focus on my legs, and he worked out the knots in my hamstrings, calves and achilles tendons. He also spent some time on my IT bands. Next time I will get the 90 min massage so the masseuse can spend some time on my quads and front of my legs. She really enjoyed her lomi lomi, and liked the oils used to moisturize her body. I tipped 30% for each masseuse. The lady in front is super nice, and appreciated us supporting a local biz. The place is small, but you can have a couples massage in the same room. I've found my go to massage place when I come to Maui. The massage was way better vs the mainland, and the prices are half vs the resort hotels.

Erica was my practitioner, and wow she did some amazing work. I told her that my spots were my neck and lower back and she was skillful, but also I could tell she was methodically feeling out/sensing the sources of my tension and gently applying more and more pressure (checking in to make sure it was not too much). I just came back from Thailand and Vietnam, and had some of the best massages in my life there- but Erica at Birds of Paradise Spa matched/surpassed those experiences. So thankful... was only a 30 minute chair massage but wow did it do the trick. I usually tip 15-20%, but since this was only $50 I felt like I had to leave 40%. Can't emphasize how therapeutically effective it was for me!
