I had been dealing with an episode of vertigo and because of the way I been laying/sleeping, I had…read morea LOT more tightness, tension, and soreness around my neck and shoulders. I wanted a massage to help bring some much-needed relief, so I randomly did a Google search and came across Jin Spa Hawaii, which happened to be nearby and had last-minute openings that same day for both my other half and I. We were able to book separate time slots with Kim, which worked for the both of us.
The office is conveniently located in Kahului near Maui Mall. It's a small space, but quiet, clean, and perfectly sufficient for my needs. I filled out an intake form and explained where I had been feeling pain and what I was hoping to get out of the massage.
Kim got right to work, and I have to say, she has some VERY strong hands. It was *almost* too much for me at certain points, but I really needed it. Before we started, she asked what type of massage I wanted. I think I chose deep tissue, but she mentioned doing "a little bit of everything," and I just said, "Okay!" Whatever she did, mixing different techniques from deep tissue to Thai massage, it was AAAHMAZING. Even the stretching, which I normally don't care for, was great. By the end, she had worked out a number of the knots in my muscles.
All in all, I had a really great experience. It is on the pricier side, but honestly, it seems to be the going rate for massages these days, and in this case, I needed some relief. My other half had the same sentiments and also really enjoyed his massage.
It's a simple spot, but was one of the best massages I've had in a while. I'd definitely recommend giving Jin Spa Hawaii a try!
