We were walking by after breakfast and saw the special. Decided to try the couples massage. It was very good. Relaxing!!!! The right amount of pressure. They are very experienced. They have skills! I will definitely come again! read more

So we saw this down from our breakfast place. My wife and I were interested in getting a couples massage. They had a special going on for Valentine's. Twenty bucks off for both of us. The place is in a strip mall with ample parking. My wife spoke to them and they could fit us in two hours. We went back to our hotel and sat by the pool. They texted my wife to get us in earlier. We packed up and headed to their shop. When we got there we were lead to our room. The rooms were connected with their own enter-trance. My masseuse didn't ask which kind of massage I wanted but she did all different kinds of techniques on me and turns out that is the one I wanted. Wow, she really worked hard on me and at times it was a little painful but not too bad. She could tell that my left arm or shoulder was hurting so she went and worked on that a lot to try to loosen it up. Overall, I really liked the massage and I felt very relaxed after it. She even stood up and standing on my legs, which was weird it didn't hurt so it was fine. I guess that's a Thai technique. The wife had a great massage also and we're happy with this place. I would come here again when we came back to the island. They charge us $189 a piece for a 80 minute massage. I think it was worth the money. read more

We were looking for a nice massage to rejuvenate during our stay in Maui. We did a couples massage with Joy and Annie! They were both amazing! We will definitely be back. It's a must go! We are leaving feeling completely refreshed. Enjoy! read more

My daughter and I were blessed to have massages at Banyan Tree Spa after 9+ hours travel from California --just what we needed! Joy and Eric were our masseuses. Both were wonderful! I've had many massages over the years, but this was my first Thai massage -- stretching and compression/pressure. It was great! I was happy to support a local business here in Lahaina. It was clean and attractively decorated. Jenny, the owner, communicated with me by text both before and the day of, making it easy to make the appointment and find the spa. We will absolutely return when visiting Maui! read more

Super easy to make an appointment online. My husband and I got a couples 90 minute massage. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly. He ended up getting a Thai Back Walk massage with Joy, and I got a regular massage with Nancy. We both walked out and said it was the best massage we have ever had!! Can't wait to come back here every time we visit Maui! read more

My husband and I are visiting from California, we truly enjoyed our time at Banyan Tree Spa. We got a couples massage, lomi lomi and pre natal massage. Jenny did a wonderful job at making sure my prenatal massage was comfortable and relaxing. Her son Eric did my husband's massage and he loved it! Definitely recommend stopping here during your vacation. :) read more

After researching plenty of massage places here in Napili, Maui area, we decided to visit the Banyan Tree Spa based off the amazing reviews and we wanted to support a local business that lost their home/business to the Lahaina fires. Their old med spa was located on Front St near the Banyan tree. Jenny, the owner lost everything , so sad. Prior to our appointment, we took a tour of the Montage spa and even though it was gorgeous and fancy, we decided to skip it due to the crazy expensive prices, we decided not to go. I called around and got in touch with other massage places, & most places did not offer couples massages in the same room, yet offered same time massage in separate rooms. It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted it to be special. Banyan Tree Spa offered a couple's combo Thai massage (same room) and my hubby and I did the 90 minutes and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It was a wonderful head to toe experience with deep tissue, walking on back with their feet, scalp massage, face massage, foot massage, shiatsu, lomi lomi, hot stone, Swedish, etc. I had "Joy" as my masseuse and my husband had "Sheila" and they did a MAGNIFICENT job! Usually massage places have you fill out a form to point out where you have the problem spots but this place did not. However, Joy was able to take all of my knots out, especially on top of my shoulder area/traps & scapula area (hard to reach knots places. She knew exactly where all the knots were hidden and was able to smooth them out.It was heavenly and I didn't want her to stop. I didn't even have to tell her where to massage or push harder. I had lots of drooling and tears come out with different emotions. I cried during my massage knowing that a dear friend has days left to live battling brain cancer and also in addition of Lahaina town gone from the tragedy. I was very happy to support this local business. Jeny was super kind and helpful ! We will definitely return in the future. If you're looking for a couples massage, that's quite economical and amazing, try this place out! You'll receive a wonderful head to toe massage. I'm sure we wouldn't have gotten the same treatment at the Montage. You're paying for the name-brand companies that don't offer the same treatment. Except for they have the sauna rooms, snacks, showers, pools, amenities. Lastly, the music was very nice and enjoyable. Clean business and they used coconut oil which you will get on your face and hair which I was ok with. This massage was deep pressure & therapeutic. You have to tolerate a little bit of pain. They will walk on your back, stretch out your body/ neck with the towels, they only use hot stone if you do the combo here and it's definitely worth it! This place gets a solid 5/5 star review on overall everything! Prob one of the best "Thai" massages of my life! I have had plenty of massages from Japanese "Shiatsu", Hawaiian "lomi-lomi " , Chinese foot massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue, Accupuncture, etc and I am quite picky ;) I felt so relaxed and relieved ! Mahalo Banyan Tree Spa! See you again real soon read more

Great massage by Joy. We went for a couples massage. Very easy to schedule and convenient location with lots of parking. High quality massage. I'd rather support a local business than the hotel spa. read more

One of the BEST massages I have ever had. I get frequent massages. I usually tell the therapist what a baby I am. This time, I did not do that. I let Joy work her magic. I think twice I said maybe go a little softer. It was deep tissue, but man, she did excellent. Don't sleep on Banyan Tree Spa. Definitely not the fanciest place. But one the best, IMO. read more

I had a Comination massage by Joy and it was INCREDIBLE. I love deep tissue, she stretched me, and I relaxed which was so needed. They are fairly priced, clean, and listen to your needs/wants. I will be back each time I'm in Maui. You won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped in to start my Maui vacation off right. I did a 90 minute combination massage and they were able to accommodate our party last minute. The location was clean and well organized. My masseuse was Eric and he was Amazing. He was very strong and skilled, worked out all my knots. It was relaxing and found myself falling asleep. Greatly recommend. read more

Fantastic massage experience just a little ways away from the Kaanapali hotels and a better value than the hotel spas. This is definitely the way to go and we will be back! read more

This mother and daughter had the most amazing "couples" massage from mother and son masseuses! Jenni and Eric were absolutely wonderful. They listened to our needs and provided a wonderful & relaxing experience. It was my daughter's first massage and Jenni was attentive to the pressure and her comfort. I had a neck injury and Eric was able to focus there and relieved so much pain. We would highly(!) recommend Banyan Tree Spa to our friends. If you are looking for extra spa amenities (saunas, showers, etc) this may not be a good fit. But if you want a relaxing & enjoyable experience that is kind, clean, attentive and efficient all while supporting local businesses - this is the place. Thanks again Jenni and Eric! read more

From the moment we called to schedule our couples massage the staff was courteous and professional. Pricing was upfront and no hidden fees. Once we arrived we were received by Jennie and Joy and they did an amazing job! Even though I let Jennie know which part of my body I thought she needed to focus on, it was as if she knew exactly where to truly focus which was a pleasant surprise. The place was clean and professional and I would recommend this place if you are visiting the area. read more

Had another deep tissue combo this month because sciatica flare is no joke. They answer pretty quick here and I got booked fast. Easy to find since it's in Lahaina Gateway just across Ross. Joy did great but the "dancing" was way too much. There were parts especially at the end where she shook me a lot and called it dancing. A bit unconventional and awkward but I was willing to trust her process. Never had it in any of my deep tissue combination massages before. I guess that was a pretty unique experience! Would definitely come back next time I'm in Maui. read more

All 4 of us LOVED our massages!! What a wonderful experience. Jenny was so sweet and welcoming and kind. All of the staff & massage therapists were that way! Plus the spa smelled so good and was meticulously clean. Our 17 year old daughter had never had a professional massage before & she loved it. Our son & my husband & I have had many massages and this was excellent quality! We all felt so relaxed, refreshed, and revived. We will definitely be back next time we come to Maui!!! It was worth every penny!!! read more

My partner and I recently went for a couple's massage, and we both agree it was the best we've ever had. This was way better than any of the hotels. We asked for the combo service which included reflexology, hot stone, facial, back massage, and Thai techniques. We left feeling incredibly refreshed and relaxed. Jenny and Fon were attentive and professional throughout our visit. I definitely recommend supporting this wonderful local business! read more

Banyan Tree Spa...such a gem! I'm so happy I found this place. The owner Jenny was so sweet and attentive and was happy to get me in for a massage before flying back home. Joy did her thing during my massage! She took her time and I can honestly say this was one of the best massages I've had. Also, please consider supporting local businesses especially those rebuilding after the fires. Jenny's story was full of hope Thank you ladies! I will be sure to let everyone know to come here when visiting. read more

We just had the best massages either of us have ever had!!! We both had the lomi lomi massage and highly recommend it!!! the spa was clean and the masseuses were very pleasant and professional. The price was reasonable too for a 90 minute. Book it, you will not be disappointed!!! read more

I am here in Maui on vacation and dropped in this morning to see if I could get a massage. They were very friendly, and Joy gave me an amazing deep tissue massage! I have so many knots and so much tension in my shoulders, and I am always apprehensive about going to a new massage place, afraid they won't use enough pressure on the knots in my shoulders. But Joy worked on the knots in my shoulders and upper back SO WELL, and used plenty of pressure. I felt amazing afterward, and I highly recommend Banyan Tree Massage! read more

Such a wonderful hidden jem!! My sister in law and I went here twice during our 1 week vacation. Would highly recommend supporting this local business. read more

Jenny is so kind and so experienced - over 25 years ago she came here from Thailand and offers multiple massage styles. Her other LMT was excellent too - my partner said her massage was just perfect. The new location is clean and quiet, and she's worked so hard to make it home. During the Lahaina fire in 2023 she lost her home and her business, and starting over has been rough! Under-insured, she's grateful to have her family alive, though their new home is sparse and nothing is the same. Her sweet smile and warm greeting would never reveal the challenges she's overcome to start again. A true phoenix!! Glad we came early and had a chance to get to know this amazing woman. Thank you for the beautiful massage and visit, Jenny! read more

This is NOT a duplicate review! We had to go back to the Banyan Tree Spa for one more massage before boarding our long flights home! Such a lovely place, beautiful people, completely comfortable and relaxing! Such an amazing experience and feeling soooo relaxed on our way to the airport! read more

AMAZING massage! Lots of technique and stretching. I highly recommend. Professional and clean environment. Would definitely go back.

I came in for a couple's massage with my girlfriend who had come for an individual massage a few days before. Fon was my therapist and she did everything my body needed. I had some troublesome issues with my plantar fasciitis and hamstrings and Fon worked all the trigger points and issue areas so that I have been feeling great for a few days after. She did an amazing combination of Thai and Swedish massage along with some mobility work. It was one of the best massages I've ever had and I would highly recommend going to Banyan Tree Spa whether you are looking for relaxation on vacation or in need of some regular bodywork. Thank you Fon! read more

Oh em gee. This place is a true home run for a beautiful massage in Maui! This place is a hidden secret. My husband and I were craving a massage so we got a recommendation from our wonderful Uber driver who is a local named Michael. We got to this place and it was nice and cool and very welcoming. It had some very serene music and smelled beautiful like aloe, eucalyptus and lavender. We were greeted by Auntie Jenny and Eric and they gave us privacy to undress and when we were ready they got to work. The massage was an hour (you can extend if you'd like) and it was heavenly from the start to finish. I did the full body deep tissue massage and Eric was more than happy to adjust to what pressure I liked. My husband did the lomi lomi and adjusted his hips and that was the money shot for his bad hips. Auntie Jenny also stepped on his back and he said it felt AMAZING and she applied the right amount of pressure. This place is a hidden gem in Maui and it was seriously so relaxing and not in the hustle bustle of things. It wasn't in a huge hotel or near the ocean but their shop was very very comfortable and serene. Try them out! Thank you Auntie Jenny and Eric!!! read more

Communication was perfect, the spa was sparkling clean, and the massage incorporated amazing additional elements like hot stones, warm towels, aroma therapy, and heated bean bags. You feel like you on vacation and you actually got rest! Strong yet gentle pressure massages. A must on Maui. Thank you Jenny & staff.

This is my first time visiting Maui and after a few days bouncing around the island I was in need of a massage. I've never had a good massage at the hotels and always search for a local place. Her last place had burnt to the ground during the tragic fire and has only had her new place open for 3 weeks. I'd never tried the Lomi Lomi hot stone massage. I went with the 90 minute session and was so impressed with Jongkonnee, she has been doing this for years and has got a healing touch. I highly recommend her!! read more

Was lucky to visit a week ago. This lovely little spa gave me the absolutely best massage I've ever had. It was a combination of Swedish/Shiatsu/and Thai. The right amount of pressure, relaxation, and stretching. Reading about the destruction of the town, and likely their location, makes me hope all of the owners and employees and their families are safe. On the assumption they are closed temporarily, we hope they are able to reopen. read more
