I try to come every morning because they the best cute little cappuccino's. It's a healthy little organic cafe. The staff is always friendly. Today was my 1st time trying breakfast & it was so yummy.

A must try when you're in Hermosa. The cutest little local cafe designed with such pure intentions. High quality, well sourced menu. Smoothies, bone broth, grain bowls, sandwiches & burgers. Lots of gluten free options, even house made paleo bread (try the paleo chicken pesto sandwich!) . Last but not least, there's a great grab and go selection too if you're on your way to the beach!

Love this place! The space itself had the perfect vibe--simple, natural, and chill. Lots of sunlight! I ordered the avocado toast which was really good--the cashew cream on it was unique, but I liked it... definitely a different flavor from most avocado toasts i've tried. I didn't love the iced turmeric latte... was kind of expecting it to be like an iced chai latte, but it just tasted like those healthy pressed juices. The staff was super friendly. Overall, awesome spot with lots of nutritious but tasty options. Great for an easy breakfast or drink.

As always my #1 go-to restaurant in ALL OF LA where I know I can walk in here, order any single item on the menu, and trust that I will walk out of here with a delicious meal and feeling great. I always know that Chef Amber & Cindy are using the highest quality of ingredients that are good for my body. Prices are on the higher end of your average South Bay "cafe," but the quality of food is anything but average - everything they make is top tier with carefully selected ingredients for flavor and health. I love all of the staff here; everyone is so kind and thoughtful. They have a cute indoor seating setup along with some outdoor seating (such a bummer that the street seating was finally removed by the city post-pandemic, but that's obviously out of their control). I drive from Westchester regularly to grab breakfast/lunch here and work from the cafe.

We ended up at Source Cafe by default. It was the 7am hour and we were looking for a breakfast place that had vegan options. Love the small neighborhood cafe vibe with good music. The Avocado Toast comes with cashew cream, avocado, radish, parsley, and sumac on what looks like wheat bread. Great mix of flavors and textures. Pretty to look at! Good portion size too since it comes with 4 pieces (2 large bread slices cut in half). https://bit.ly/3KzPeNx Tofu Walnut Tacos are TASTY! Not sure what magic is performed on this concoction but the filling is made of tofu, butternut squash, kale, walnut, tomato, onion, curry, and cilantro with a side of hot sauce. This comes on cassava tortillas which have a more pliable and chewy texture. https://bit.ly/3RmvDUZ Sharing these two dishes with my mom, this was a pretty filling meal! We ate around 7:30am and I wasn't hungry for my next meal until about 2pm. Service was friendly. I was bummed they didn't have the Beet Root Latte at the time but hopefully I can check that out on my next visit.

Tasty but pricey! A cute cafe in the downtown hermosa beach area. I lucked out and found metered street parking on Pier St. I love how committed this place is to fueling the body with fresh, nutrient dense foods. And the gluten free selection is truly amazing! I got the curry egg salad on paleo toast and it was delicious! Could use a bit of hot sauce but other than that, I really enjoyed the flavors and textures. It's pricey and not very filling but yummy nonetheless. I also got a latte with house made oat milk. It's pretty flavorless but the oat milk is creamy and smooth. Too expensive for a not great coffee so I'd skip this next time and get coffee at another shop near by. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating - both really great options as the cafe does a great job of the beachy cute atmosphere. The employees are nice and the food comes out quickly.

The food was very healthy and tasteful. The service was decent and the ambiance was pleasant. I enjoyed the salmon bowl with no rice. It was very refreshing. I paired my meal with a beet juice and it was delicious.

I love their panini so much I get this almost every week! The source has great fresh, nutritious food, probably the best spot in Hermosa for healthy food Most food are organic and locally produced. My favorite smoothie is the Cacaco Almond Buttercup, the first time I got it was because it was said to help with one's energy and it does just that! Service is great, the staff are so nice and friendly. The place itself is cozy, I love sitting outside when it's a nice sunny day! I usually stay inside if I wanna get some work done and studying done :) but there's no WiFi. Overall one of my favorite spots and really recommend it to yall

Review #976 2026-042…read more Tip: Join their Local by Toast loyalty program for monetary discounts; $1 = 1 point, & get $3 off (6%) for every 50 points earned. DineLA Food & Drink Order ($15): Breakfast Plate: Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (sunny-side up) $15.95 Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte $6.95 Server/Bartender: Andrew I have been a long time fan of Kirari West Bake Shop when it opened with much fanfare as a 100% gluten-free Japanese bakery with treats that defy the common undesirable traits of gluten-free goods: dense, dry, &/or gritty. When Kirari West Bake Shop (refer to Review #290) opened sister bakery, Confections by Kirari West, a couple of years ago, I bookmarked them for a visit but didn't get around to it until I saw them on 2026 DineLA. The confections bakery also sits in King Harbor Plaza, but south of its sister between Glaze Craze & King Harbor Spa, serving all-day breakfast, burger, sandwiches, & pizzas with teas, coffees, & smoothies. According to Andrew, KWBS bakes bread for CBKW & CBKW bakes treats & doughnuts for KWBS. Still not quite understanding the difference because KWBS also serves breakfast but in sandwiches & french toasts, & paninis, sandwiches, & salads. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Initially focused solely on baked goods: artisan breads, scones, & Bake-At-Home gluten-free flour mixes, CBKW has evolved their menu to include sandwiches, pizza, quinoa bowls, & smoothies. The DineLA menu offered 3 options, & I deliberated between pancakes & chicken burger. I chose the Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes because they looked fluffy & divine in the owner pic; it includes 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (cooked sunny-side up). And picked an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with less ice for my drink. It was quiet for an early lunch, & a couple of ladies walked in after I finished ordering. The bakery cafe has its cozy charm with a lovely black & white mural on the right long wall that's great for selfies or social posts. There's 4 2-tops & counter seating facing the plaza/parking lot, no restroom (assuming sister KWBS will let you use theirs), & plenty of parking though it'll be challenging during lunch & dinner rush with so many eateries in the plaza. Andrew makes an awesomely refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte that rivals those from boba shops! Balanced sweetness with earthy, grassy matcha & generous dollops of real, sweet strawberry purée... soooooo good! Though smaller & a bit pricier than boba shops, it's a top-notch drink. My pancakes came shortly after; smells great but looks nothing like the pic, not fluffy, not golden. I love eating pancakes no matter the time of day, & these Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes had comforting notes of cinnamony warmth with random sweet bursts of blueberries. The texture is notably moist & airy, & not reminiscent of typical gluten-free foods which are dry & dense. Typical bacon & eggs, nothing unusual... I prefer thick cut bacon & on the crisper side, but the eggs were perfectly cooked, the whites were set with a runny yolk & crisp, brown edges. It was just enough to satisfy my hunger & quench my thirst. I'm lucky that I don't have any food allergies or restrictions. People with celiac disease require a gluten-free diet, & cooking/baking challenges stem from the lack of gluten for moisture, elasticity, & structure. Customers should know that Confections by Kirari West is a dedicated gluten-free bakery, so there's no worries of cross-contamination. I don't know how Chef Hiro Saito creates this tasty, gluten-free deliciousness here & KWBS... he uses high quality rice flour instead of wheat to create his delectable pastries. On 07/2025, CBKW along with sister KWBS were both designated as a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant. This means they're certified to offer healthier, longevity-focused menu options based on plant-slant & whole-food principles like those in Okinawa, Japan or Sardinia, Italy. Quality ingredients... craftsmanship... & sincerity... check, check, & check!! Yeah, I got you in my corner Confections by Kirari West! There's a number of tables, and it's really a great place to sit back and enjoy the air of Hermosa Beach. The one thing I will say, is that every now and then, particularly on the weekends, you're gonna get some musician busking right next to this patio. If they're a good musician and a good singer, this isn't too bad. But, on the other hand, sometimes there's some busters in the area that just are not very enjoyable to listen to. I love that they had a chilled water tank that's self serve in the cafe because that hit after my run. For drinks I got a teddy graham latte with oat milk which was a seasonal spring menu item.
