One of the best pizzas I have tasted in a very long time. My husband and I ordered the meatball ricotta pizza but added buffalo mozzarella and basil. It was delicious beyond words. We loved the thinly sliced meatballs and the basil added an extra kick. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy. You know what was even better? Having it again the next morning for breakfast. Love the place. Very clean. Great music playing and you can also watch one of the many TVs. Our waitress was perfect. She didn't smother us and she didn't abandon us. Love their Grandma Pizza. The Garlic Knots are The Best I've had bar none! We ordered the Grandma the other night and it was as good as the first one we had. Have had it several times on Friday nights when it's slammed and hasn't been as good . But with that being said The Slice is still one of the Best pizza places in the Upstate! It was a pleasant experience. A quick tip they don't serve extra slices on the weekends, only what's available on the glass counter. We ordered our 14" Cheese Pie with extra cheese. Make sure you order it Well Done so you don't get any flop. The Crust was tasty with a crunch. No extra grease which was a good sign. Upon our first visit we ordered a pizza pie (I forget the actual menu name) and it was delicious. You couldn't eat more than one slice! On our second visit we had a traditional pizza and I much preferred the pie variety we had the first time. It seemed to have a lot more flavor. I have also had the gnocchi which was wonderful (but very rich). It would be nice if the pasta came with bread. We have had different wait staff on our visits but none seemed overly friendly and were rather brusque. I will return because the food is good, just could use some friendlier wait staff. read more

I recently had the opportunity to dine at The Slice, a pizza and pasta restaurant on Main Street in Simpsonville, South Carolina. It was reminiscent of a New York City pizza and pasta shop. Mike, the owner, was very friendly and shared his New York background. The Slice is a local and independently owned restaurant. They had a number of pizza pies, the classics, as well as white pies, and the Sicilian semi-thick crust type pizzas. If pasta is your thing, they had a focused selection plus all of the pasta is house-made. You have the choice of outside or indoor dining. They also have the traditional walk up window if you want to purchase just "a slice" on the go. The Slice is family friendly (kids menu) plus they have gluten free crust if needed. The Slice is another "gem" in downtown Simpsonville and worth the drive for a great slice of pizza. read more

Ok here we go. I need to stick with pizza and salad when I go there. The food here is good and they get crazy busy. A few weeks ago, I called in a to go order and it was done completely wrong. I ordered the gnocchi with vodka sauce and chicken parmigiana with marinara sauce. When I opened my package the chicken had been thrown on top of the gnocchi and vodka sauce was poured over the chicken, no marinara sauce! This is not what I ordered and when the restaurant sent me a text requesting a review, I was able to tell them of my disappointment with my order not being processed correctly. They were very responsive and issued me a gift card. So last night my wife and I do the 45 minute wait in the bar area with our two adult children. We got our high top table upstairs and our server was extremely busy. When we placed our orders, I explained to the server about my previous experience and she made it a point to show me how she understood my order and how she had it written down. About 20 minutes later which was fine our food was delivered. Mine was wrong again. The vodka sauce was on my chicken and the marinara sauce was on my gnocchi. My server was apologetic and confused. She stated that the person must not have read the order correctly and she took my plate and sought a manager to help her. My family enjoyed the food they ordered, I weighted for my dinner. When my family was finished eating my reworked order made it to the table and at this point the food was underwhelming and I was feeling like I needed to leave without fuss and never order anything other then a salad or a pizza if I ever go back. read more

Love this place. Family from out of town loves it too! I will admit there isn't really a place to stand while waiting when it's packed. But, nevertheless, it's worth waiting for! Found this place while looking for a central meeting for a business lunch. I was born in Brooklyn so this was a pleasure for me. The accents of the owners and the aura produced are definitely NY. The owner was such a nice lady and the prices were not outrageous especially for lunch. I had a chicken philly (not on the menu) and minus the missing mustard (my preference) it was good! I'm not a fan of pizza, I have to be in the mood for it so I can't review the pizza but what I could review was great. Hidden gem! Try it out! read more

Went in to try pizza. Got one slice of each.. Regular and Sicilian. Crust on regular slice was burnt on bottom and edges. Sicilian slice had cheese on top and some had wrapped around and covered bottom at front 1/3 of slice. Needless to say Sicilian was soggy and uncooked. It was easentially unedable. My wife on the other hand liked the regular slice. No complaint from her there. Posted review on other forum and owner tried to tell me I was getting his place confused with another pizza joint. As an owner you need to own your product. You may have had only one complaint on the pie that day however you had complaint. Trying to tell me I was mistaken and didn't eat at your place whe. I have photos of the product. SIR I do know where I eat and will not be back. Not that you seem to care. read more

Great pizza, and homemade pasta! We were visiting the Greenville area, and went here on a Saturday night. The place was busy, but the owners were all working the front, the bar, and the kitchen. We had pizza, and one of our group got the "Tiny's Trippin" with rigatoni instead of gnocchi. That sauce was amazing! (Wild mushrooms, parmesan,, and sherry truffle cream sauce). Pizza was your average greasy slice of pizza. Nothing bad but wasn't overwhelmingly great. It didn't stand out to me as something going out of my way to get. Portions were great though! We also got the garlic rolls which came in 2 inches of butter in the bottom of the bowl. 15 year old me would've love it. They were good but definitely could've done without the massive pool of butter under them. read more

The food here is pretty good, but several times we have been, the one manager that is always there (stockier guy) is really quite rude. it's a shame because the food is decent, but I have been discouraged to go back because of this person.The front counter girls are nice. i have heard this same complaint from many friends. its expensive too, the last thing you want when you go out to eat is deal with a rude manager.
