    Bourbon & ginger ale
    Lee B.

Visited 1/22/26 for dinner. First was the Pizza Logs. It's basically egg rolls filled with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. Um, YES! We'll order that again. Next was Lemon Pepper Wings for me and Vodka Made Me Do It for the wife. The wings were very flavorful with a great aftertaste and extremely juicy. The wife's dish consisted of rigatoni pasta in a cream vodka sauce, roasted chicken, Parmesan, spinach, crushed red pepper and sprinkled with scallions. I really didn't think that combination would been as delicious as it was. AND had a little bit of a kick to it. While I only sampled it, I could definitely order that for myself. And of course, bourbon & ginger ale. Always a winning combination. We sat upstairs and they had the heaters going. It was nice and cozy. This place will rock hard in the spring and summer. And the staff were great. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. And tell Hannah at the bar we told you to visit!

My date and I grabbed dinner here on a Wednesday as there was live music with rooftop seating. It was alright...? Parties of 2 can only sit at the "rail seating" which overlooks... the parking lot. So it was difficult to eat and enjoy the live music and the college football games playing in the background. The pizza was great... extra cheesy to be precise and more of a thinner crust. Beware: the garlic knots are more garlic than knots. Bring breath mints (or consider skipping it for the sake of your date.) Our server was kind but only checked in once and that was to give the check so forget asking about refills on drinks. Then again maybe they were avoiding us because of the dragon breath caused by the delicious garlic knots. My only gripe is there is only plastic ware for forks and knives.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza and Grandma Pizza

I went there for lunch and they have a special that you can get two pieces of pizza for 10 dollars. I got the chicken bacon ranch, and the grandma pizza and oh my gosh it was amazing!! I asked for a little crispy and it was perfect. The waitress was wonderful and so friendly. Can't wait to go back.

The Slice is located along the historic Main Street in Simpsonville. While I had no plans of trying out pizza in the Greenville area, seeing a steady flow of customers grabbing food at The Slice and the amazing aroma tempted me into grabbing a slice to see what the fuss was all about. The true Italian pizzeria smell hits you upon entering which is always a good sign. There's plenty of indoor seating and a rooftop area for dining in. While I have no basis for comparison with other South Carolina pizzerias, the plain slice (4/5) I had was solid and prepared with decent quality dough, sauce, and cheese. While the ingredients didn't pack the punch of a NY/NJ area slice, I was pretty impressed with it overall, so would recommend The Slice to others looking for some good pizza in Simpsonville. The service was super friendly and one of the girls working there who grew up in New Jersey took the time out to say hi and chat after finding out I was visiting from NJ. There's a wonderful Simpsonville mural alongside the building as well that just added to the charm.

Giving the Slice in Simpsonville 5 stars for quality ingredients, friendly and attentive service and the fun rooftop atmosphere. The Salad was fresh and portion was great. The meatballs were soft in texture and very flavorful. Good sauce here - doesn't have the Sysco food truck taste like most dime - a dozen so called Italian Restaurants do. Love it!!!

I previously had the opportunity for take out at The Slice, a restaurant that has grown in popularity over the last few years. Finally dined in. They have expanded their space to include a spacious rooftop dining area and bar, as well as outdoor seating options. Located on Main St in Simpsonville, we decided to sit at the bar. The service was prompt and attentive. We started with the Italian Salad, which was generously portioned, and shared a small Too Too Pizza that was absolutely awesome.. With drinks included, our total bill came to $48.00. The atmosphere was inviting, and the addition of wide-screen TVs enhanced the experience. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience that deserves a five-star rating.

Lunch Special... 2 slices and a tea for $9

The pizza was great... and the sweet tea was off the charts good. My $9 lunch special was 2 slices and a drink. Thats unheard of... the service was great, the restaurant was very clean. They have a huge menu, cant wait to go back.

Very good! We enjoyed the pizza with a view. Recommend a half pepperoni with half Hawaiian. A little busy but worth the wait for a rooftop seat. The staff were kind and accommodating.

I'm originally from the Northeast and it's hard for me to find pizza that compares to what I'm used to. My wife and I stopped in The Slice (Simpsonville location) while vacationing in upstate South Carolina. Their pizza is probably the best I've had in the South. We also had the meatballs and ricotta, and the vodka rigatoni. Everything was very, very good and our server Adrienne provided some of the best service we've ever had. Several other employees checked in on us to make sure everything was good. Overall a great experience here and we highly recommend stopping in when you're in the Simpsonville area.

Good food, and service. We enjoy coming back to this restaurant. They have gluten free pizza as well. It does get crowded.

The pasta is really good. It's nice on the rooftop when the weather is good. Gets crowded quickly but usually the wait isn't too long.

We waited over 10 mins and nobody greeted us. A table got sat after the 10 mins we were there and got greeted immediately! I said something to the hostess and she said she was going to find our server. Waited another 5 mins and I see that table already has drinks and their order taken. Come to find out I see their server was also our server. Why were they greeted and served first? I asked to speak to a manager and he comes up and doesn't greet us. Just nods his head up as if saying "sup". So that triggered me. Where is the customer service? I explain to him what's going on and he didn't know what to say. He finally gets our drink order and I see him fussing at our server. Our server comes back with drinks and we order our food. Our food was incorrect! Wrong cheese and wrong toppings plus the pizza was so flat in the middle you can see the silver platter that was under it. And you would think she would give us good service after we waited over 20 mins at that point to be helped and order food but we had to ask for drink refills. We were there for over 2 hours and not by choice. I did end up calling the owner and he seemed to take it serious. I told him I couldn't help but wonder if race had anything to do with it or if it was because we were in sweats. He said that def shouldn't be the case. He said he was going to look at cameras for proof. I said please do bc I timed everything and I told him where we sat and what we wore and the table that got greeted before us. I heard from him a week later and he just texts to apologize and sends a gift card. Gift card was a nice gesture but I still haven't used it yet. Just so turned off by the whole situation.

With multiple locations across Greenville--including downtown, Pelham Rd, and Simpsonville--this family favorite has been part of our lives for over 15 years, and it continues to exceed expectations. We love the Simpsonville location especially because of the massive 20" pizza pies--perfect for family dinners or sharing with friends. The crust is crisp yet chewy, the sauce is flavorful, and the cheese blend is just right. You can taste the quality and consistency that comes from decades of experience. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The lobby and bathrooms are impressively clean, and the fountain Pepsi products are always ice cold. The décor is modern and tasteful--not overwhelming--which adds to the comfortable dining experience. If you haven't tried Bertolo's yet, do yourself a favor and stop in. We took our time settling in and started with the mozzarella and focaccia (so good!) and the meatball--because you can't visit an Italian place without the essentials. For our mains, we ordered the short rib ragu and the verde lasagna. The lasagna was especially memorable--you could really taste the fresh spinach, which gave it a light, refreshing flavor. It was very clean, and the atmosphere is one of its strongest assets. We sat outside overlooking Fluor Field, which made for a really enjoyable setting. The outdoor patio was comfortable, and the new awnings provided great shade, making it easy to relax even in the sun. Service was excellent from start to finish. Attentive, and professional. No complaints there at all. For drinks, I ordered a carajillo, which was very well done. The food is where things started to fall short. We began with the long hot stuffed peppers. The dish only comes with two peppers, so the portion felt a bit small. The sausage itself was decent, but it was severely lacking seasoning, and the sauce didn't add much to elevate it. The verde lasagna followed a similar trend. The pasta itself was clearly good quality, but the overall dish was underwhelming and lacking depth of flavor. The scallop dish was the best of what we tried. The scallops were cooked perfectly, the asparagus was fresh, and the risotto had a good texture. Unfortunately, even here, the dish still felt like it was missing seasoning and bold flavor, which was a recurring theme throughout the meal. Given the upscale setting and prime location, expectations are understandably higher and so are the prices. That said, the portion sizes and overall flavor didn't quite justify the cost in my opinion. Overall, a great location with excellent service and ambiance, but the food needs more seasoning and depth to truly match the setting and price point.
