THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! Came here twice in one day, got coffee and played a game the first go round and then came back for lunch and three more games. First, the game selection, there is SO MANY. Their staff is there to explain any of the games and make suggestions which is very helpful. They are very knowledgeable & seem to know everything about every game. Second, the food and coffee served is really good. I got the basil hummus & avocado sandwich served with chips ($9) and the mugs o nugs with chipotle mayo and ranch ($6). Everything was presented well and tasty. I look forward to playing more games and trying more menu items, they also serve beer which could make for a fun game night. I will be making this a frequent stop and would recommend this place to anyone looking for something fun to do in Wilmington.

Delicious food and extremely friendly staff! My favorite dish on the menu is the turkey and Swiss sandwich! It is served with turkey, Swiss cheese, avocado, bacon, and blue cheese and you get a side of chips! All of the coffee is amazing too! They use counter culture coffee from Durham, NC which is one of my favorite brands.

I ordered a turkey club sandwich with a Flying Machine Vimana, and we're playing How to Rob a Bank!

Such an awesome gem here in Wilmington! The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. The food selection is great. The food is a little geared towards being snack or lunch options, which is perfect to go along with playing some board games. I mean, who isn't excited about a fun place to hangout, drink beer, and play board games from a huge selection?! I'll definitely be going back! And often!

Very cool place. Grab a snack and play games with friends, how could you go wrong? They have a pretty decent selection of games.

Ask the Community - The Sideboard

Do they do flights or 5oz pours for their beers?

When I was there, they didn't do flights. Just regular pours of beers.

All 3 have many things in common... This brewery consistently produces some amazing beer. IPAs and hazy IPAs are top notch here. They are very rare and hard to find back home (Greensboro), so I had to stock up. The space is exceptional. Huge beer hall with a large bar top area, tables, couches and comfy chairs. Add in some tv's throughout with sports on, and some foosball and shuffle board, and you have a super fun spot to hang out. The outdoor patio is super comfy as well, and surrounded by beautiful large trees. This is a place I need to stop in every time we're in the Wilmington area. For the great beer, the great space, and to take home half the store lol.

Two attentive guys behind the bar juggled orders and tidied tables without breaking stride It set a tone that the place is not only laid-back but also well-tended. We had the Blair's Breakfast Stout (coffee, lactose, and cacao nibs) super delicious! And then also the Jalapeno Saison. Definitely for the pepper fans. Both brews really hit hte mark. WBC welcomes outside food. So an easy stroll over to P.T.s Grill a block away, and back to WBC allows for you to relax and enjoy even longer. Relaxing Flavorful Downright enjoyable Yep, we'll be back.

They have a variety of seating options, including some group-friend booths. On my last visit, I sat at the bar and ordered a flight of beer. Tony the bartender was very patient with my request for a flight of local beer with no IPAs or hoppy beers. He picked out: 2: Wrightsville Beach Orange Crush, 3. Waterline Kolsh, 4. Teaches Peaches, 1. Watermelon Dragon Fruit Burst. I was familiar with the first three and loved them. I jokingly refer to Wrightsville Beach Orange Crush as creamsicle beer. It isn't too sweet, but the Orange flavor is quite strong. The Waterline Kolsh is light and very easy to drink. The Teaches Peaches is one of my favorites due to its light fruity flavor. The Watermelon Dragon Fruit Burst was a wildcard in Tony's lineup. This sour was a refreshing way to mix up my beer tasting. My friend also got a flight and didn't like one of the beers he chose. Tony swapped it out for a different beer as soon as I told him and the new one was well-received. My favorite part of this visit was that Tony decided to bring me a sample of the 8. Firestone Walker Mind Haze, because it was a non-hoppy IPA and he thought I might like it. It wasn't my fave, but I really appreciated the opportunity to try something new. I snacked on free popcorn all during my visit. The popcorn machine is in the back. Also in the back are single-stall restrooms. Tavern Law has an A+ in my book because they have great local beer on tap and they are gay friendly.

This was our first time here and it didn't disappoint! Word to the wise- be ready to wait 1.5 hours…read morefor a table. We came yesterday and didn't want to wait but then came back today and got our group on the list and waited. Note that the parking close by is expensive and they won't seat you if your whole party isn't there within 5 minutes of texting that your table is ready. So yep- plan to wait and sit around. Inside it's pub style, bar available and good music, but not much seating which explains the wait ;) We ordered the 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich, the Hot Roasted Pork Sandwich and the Reuben. Our waitress recommended not getting the onion rings app and to do it as sides to save money, and man, we had SO MANY leftovers. The pork sandwich is super good but so filling. I could only eat half with all the onion rings! The Reuben was absolutely delicious and I would 1000% get that again. The best thing on the menu in our opinion: the Cheese Steak Egg Rolls with chipotle mayo- OMG. We will DREAM about these!!! I haven't seen these talked about much- TRY THEM, they were literally mouth watering and I would have eaten them as an entree and not an app! Overall we would come back again, just be prepared to wait forever for a table and you won't be disappointed!

Cheese Steak Egg Rolls served w/chipotle ranch......Amazing!!!! Best we have ever had. 2. 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich had an amazing balance of ingredients that would make your mouth water. Very good and the fries as well. 3. Hot Roasted Pork Sandwich was very bland and had an excessive amount of spinach. Even the Au Jus couldn't rescue this sandwich. 4. The famous onion rings. Well they must of ran out of seasoning because these were more flour than flavor. Very doughy with no spices. Not worth the $9 * The alcohol mix drinks are pretty good. Definitely taste the flavor of each. Will give you a good kick.
