It was my turn to pick a spot for drinks and (of course) I searched Yelp and saw The Bend! We had never heard of it nor seen it as we drive on Market St. It's a very cool spot, tucked behind 7 Mile Post and "around the bend!" We were lucky to see a parking attendant show us where to park because it gets tight and crowded. We walked across a little bridge over to the spot and there was plenty of outdoor seating and a stage for entertainment. We went inside and ordered our drinks. He got an ice cold beer and I got a strawberry tequila drink that was beautiful and tasted excellent! We sat out back on the deck which overlooked large trees and a lawn with picnic tables and things for the kids to do. I was pleased not to see dogs all over the place. That's a turn off to me. Leave them at home. We did not go back to the front yard to listen to the band, but when we left, every spot was full of people enjoying the music! We will def go back!

Ohtli eating ice cream.

Love this place. We took our dog to Grumpys Ice Cream next door for a pup cup. He loved it and my husband loved his ice cream cone. Dogs aren't allowed inside.

I absolutely loved this beautiful bar! It doesn't feel like Wilmington but a place that is in the mountains surrounded by nature. I met the owner tonight and he was really cool. Me and two friends were going to 7 mile post and saw this place across the street and decided to go there instead. It has a beautiful bridge guiding you into the beautiful hidden place. There was a great solo artist and the interior and exterior were so upscale yet comfortable. Drinks were very reasonably priced and bartenders were very friendly which was a plus. You can bring animals and kids (outside). Such a chill vibe! Water is free and plenty of seating. If you are looking for a really cool, laid back vibe with a nature twist - this is it!

This place is perfect for families and honestly just what the area needed. It has a large outside area with swings, games, benches, chairs etc. inside and outside bar and some delicious drinks. They also have a pretty great rotating food truck schedule and each time we ordered, the bartenders were attentive and kind. Highly recommend this spot.

Great little spot to have some drinks. Didn't interact much with the staff, but the bar tenders were attentive.

Wow wow wow! I can't say enough good things about this place. I've found one of my top favorite…read morerestaurants in Wilmington. This place gives Miami feels. The ambience has this electric tropic feel, playing a variety of old and new Latin tunes, with lowkey lighting but not so low you can't see anything. The food it's packed full of flavor and the margs are on point! I recommend starting off with the pork belly quac, and a spicy margarita with tajin on the rim I had the Machu Picchu roll(corvina, citrus tiger milk, mango confetti, and more) and I swear was one of the most beautifully creative flavor packed dishes I have ever had in this town. Look, if you are wanting a quick getaway to another culinary world and are tired of the same ol wings, pizza , and beer come check out this spot. Oh! And to top it all off the service was stellar! Also, the restrooms are super clean and well stocked!

First and foremost our server Bella was fantastic, she was so personable and ran through the menu with us even offering suggestions. The restaurant itself is very cool, it's definitely more upscale Mexican and the food more than met that standard. I had the 4 enchilada plate, they are stuffed with delicious chicken and at Bella's recommendation I did 2 with their homemade mole and 2 with the homemade queso, both were excellent. My wife had the cauliflower dish and really enjoyed it, it's not something she gets every day and the flavor really popped, great vegetarian options at Vochas. We had the Maracuyá Tres Leches Cake for dessert and it was next level tasty. Next time we come visit we'll definitely drop by again for an outstanding meal.

While our first two experiences left us wondering what all the fuss was about, this latest dinner proved that sometimes good things really do come to those who wait (and keep making reservations). Our party of four settled in with high hopes and rumbling stomachs. Three of us couldn't resist the siren call of the crab cakes, while our fourth companion went rogue with the shrimp and grits. The crab cakes delivered everything you want from this coastal classic--generously packed with sweet crab meat and impossibly light, paired with creamy mashed potatoes that provided the perfect canvas. The shrimp and grits, while delicious, couldn't quite dethrone our reigning champion (Cape Fear Seafood still holds that crown), but they put up an admirable fight. The real showstoppers, however, were the appetizers. My half-dozen Sneads Ferry oysters arrived like little ocean jewels--impeccably fresh, properly briny, with just enough natural sweetness to make you close your eyes and sigh. The mussels swam in a sauce so good I considered asking for a straw, and the calamari managed that rare feat of being both smoky and completely free of any "low tide" funk that plagues lesser versions. Our Sauvignon Blanc proved the ideal supporting actor, crisp and bright enough to complement without competing. The service struck that sweet spot between professional and personable--attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious. The atmosphere isn't quite my cup of tea, but word on the street is they're relocating, so here's hoping the new digs will match the elevated kitchen performance. Sometimes the third time really is the charm. Catch has finally caught up to its reputation.

This review is based off my most recent experience here and I don't think it's too reflective of…read morehow the restaurant is typically as it's super popular in Wilmington. We had a large group and the server was very attentive to us. My soda cup was super super dirty which was gross. We ordered the Brussels and shrimp for the appetizer and those were PHENOMENAL. Shrimp were so flavorful and the Brussels were some of the best I've had. I got the swordfish as my main and it really wasn't hot. Kind of warm but not really as hot as it should have been. I thought the flavor was good but the portion was a little disappointing for the price. We got some coconut cake for dessert which was super tasty and moist. Mixed feelings but I'd give them another shot!
