Great selection of clothing that is easy to find based on brand, men's, women's, kids, etc. While my son was trying on I checked out the new and used boards and found a few that I'd love to add to my quiver. The used boards were in very good shape and were market prices. Love that they also support local non-profits via the Mustache for Kids charity foundation.

The store is owned by Chuck Bourgeois and his family (You may have heard of his son, world class pro surfer Ben Bourgeois.) and has that wonderful family-owned, hometown feel that is so hard to find. Everyone who works at Sweetwater seems passionate about it, and most are more knowledgeable about the sport of surfing and its equipment than I could ever hope to be. They're great to talk to for advice about everything from wax and wetsuits to travel arrangements in Costa Rica. Tony Butler is Sweetwater's manager, and he contributes much of the content on wblivesurf.com, including daily photos and surf reports. Sweetwater also runs a surf report phone line (910-256-8184) to keep you up to date on changing surf conditions. Sweetwater carries a huge selection of the best brands of surf boards, skate boards, snow boards, wetsuits (in the winter), swimsuits, board shorts, flip flops, surf and skate DVDs, and all the other equipment, clothing and accessories you might need for surfing, skating or snowboarding. If you can't find something you want, just ask, and the staff will bend over backwards to help you locate it. They can probably custom order it if they don't have it available. Plus, they have great sales. Sweetwater Surf Shop is located a block from the beach in downtown Wrightsville, so you don't have to go very far out of your way between surf sessions to stop in, browse and say hello. I made my first purchase of a beautiful green skirt and there was a dressing room to ensure I had the correct size for myself. The owner greeted me with a smile and was very nice to chat with about her store and her exciting business plans as she has just recently opened and is a first time business owner. The store has awesome selections, there is second hand, and some brand new choices as well. Roses are Blue has definitely been keeping up with the fashion trends and have great selections like Y2K or 90s fashion as well. Unlike the other review I have seen on Google, there is clothing for all sizes, it was in either the new/Unused, or consignment racks, and the owner even talked about getting plus sizes in the future. I definitely think this business is very inclusive and is a great addition to our Historical Downtown Area. I overall had a great time shopping here and I am super excited to go shop again soon.
