To begin, we were pleasantly surprised that our table for 10 was ready as soon as we arrived, expecting to wait a bit for such a large party. Once we were seated, our server Oliver immediately came over to explain the tapas menu and get our drink orders. Tapas are priced $7-$20 à la carte, or you can order different tasting menu tiers based on what your group is hungry for. We ordered the $35 tasting menu (tapas only) and it was more than enough food! We tried the whipped sheep cheese, flank steak, garlic mushrooms, shrimp, patatas bravas, salmon, and more! We also ordered a pitcher of red sangria for the table that was delicious. The incredible food and the attentive service made Barcelona the perfect meal for a group of old friends to catch up. After visiting Barcelona, your wallet might not be happy, but your heart sure will!

What really made the evening special, though, was the outstanding service. Our waiter was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and when he learned we were celebrating two birthdays, he surprised us with some sangria to help us celebrate. That small gesture made an already wonderful meal feel even more memorable. Between the delicious food, warm hospitality, and celebratory atmosphere, this was easily one of our favorite experiences in Nashville. We will absolutely be back anytime we're in town!

I walked by it a couple times oblivious to the magic inside, I am so glad I took the suggestion and finally walked in. First off it is a wine bar, and really thats it. Full license for liquor and beer, but they are focused on wine and they know their stuff. It was so nice to be served wine by someone in a tshirt and without the snobbiness of terrior, just a glass and company to enjoy it. On to the details: There is a menu, half just bites like olives but there is a solid burger toward the bottom, They have a patio out back (I heard, but well over ninety degrees even at night I took their word for it. The pool table in back was nice, but a couple glasses if wine in, I know my limits. There was a couple recod players and a great vinyl collection in the corner, but the soundtrack playing was great so I never needed to peruse the collection. Once the place filled up (and it did, apparently it doesn't need any signs for the ones in the know to find it) it dod get pretty warm, the A/C units barely kept up, but it was neevr unpleasant. Word is the back patio also has another building that may become a cocktail bar in the future and I can't wait for that...

Despite the hotel setting, it feels a bit more 'for the locals' than lower Broad does these days. So whether you are entertaining out of town guests or want to have drinks Downtown, this just might be the spot you're looking for. I had something to celebrate and I wanted to do so in style. It was mid-spring and the weather was perfect so I wanted to take advantage of the short window. I took a ride share to the hotel bc ain't no one got time for Downtown parking rates and bee-lined it to the Lou/Na elevator at the back of the lobby. Once I hit the rooftop, my Friday night began. The atmosphere is every bit as dark, moody (in a good way) and smartly-illuminated as expected. Since I was here for views and good weather, I asked the hostess for an outdoor table. She obliged and I was soon perched along the edge of the roof, staring into the twinkling lights of our ever-expanding skyline. It was well-past the dinner hour and I was craving something sweet. After chatting with my helpful server, I decided on the creme brulee and an espresso martini. Both were excellent. The brulee had a perfect crust and delectable custard that paired well with the martini that veered closer to dry than sweet. I appreciated that. It showed effort went into making the cocktail. I was in my own head so I minded my business and didn't do too much people watching. Despite the time of year and good weather, the roof wasn't too packed. It wasn't empty but it wasn't bustling. That was fine by me but I'm sure the management would disagree. I would point out that Lou/Na has gotten even more popular since when I visited so I'm confident that the crowd on good weather nights has increased. If that's your thing, head over on a Friday. If not, check it out during the week. But if well-made cocktails in a beautiful environment outside the madness of Lower Broad but still Downtown is on your radar, you know where you need to go and what to do. Lou/Na should be in your rotation.

Getting to finally try it on the company dime is a definite win. But my review will be as if I paid, trust me. I'm very ethical :) The appetizers were so fun. I'm not a dill fan, but I wiped off the cream freche and dill powder from the Chicken BcNuggets and without the toppings, they were pretty bland. I tried the steak tartare (my first time ever having it) and it was divine. My coworkers couldn't get enough fo the Whipped Pimento Cheese. The main courses were so good - I got the Nashvile Strip Steak without cheese (lactose intolerant) and it was so delish. The toasted potato blini was amazing. A few people got the Mediterranean Branzino and it was a little fishy (but that was the only dish that got bad reviews). There were a few Risotto and Chicken dishes and they were well received. The desserts were heavenly, too. The experience was just wonderul and the staff was so attentive (but not too much so). Highly recommend for special occasions, just skip the fish.

The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.

The owner, Taylor, was also tending the bar during our visit, and he walked us through the concept while also providing thoughtful wine recommendations. We both started with a glass of crisp and cold prosecco, and then switched over to try Vino Volta, which kind of tasted like a good craft beer's bubbly cousin. They even have a few light bites on their menu if you need something to snack on - but since they're located in L&L Market, there's plenty of other food options nearby as well! This is a special place to sit and sip on high quality, curated wines with good company, and I'm confident I'll be back again soon.

I asked the staff what I should order based on wanting a chilled red. They gave me tow options. I chose a Nebbiolo and loved it! We ordered two "bread with stuff". Music was upbeat and chill and at the perfect volume to have an enjoyable conversation. They also sell loaves of bread to go, which of course we got.
