Martin Sanchez and his workers did a wonderful job in replacing/painting the trellis over my deck, as well as repairing dry rot. They also repaired/painted my front deck and ramp. They were polite, easy to communicate with, neat and tidy, with cleanup each day, and even did some minor repairs not related to the deck or ramp. They really went "above and beyond" when they power washed my patio furniture, which was a mess, and a job I could never do myself. Highly recommended. Thank You, Martin and your workers! Peggy G. Sanchez Construction was recommended by our neighbors to help repair dry rot, replace a atrium door and repair my deck. They did it ALL, and well. Very neat, and cleaned up every day. I gave their name to more neighbors, as we have the same dry rot issue. I wouldn't recommend him if they crew wasn't good. Give Martin a call! Kathy C Crow Canyon read more

I've dreamed of a kitchen remodel for many years and Martin Sanchez created my dream kitchen for me. I began with a small kitchen which had one workspace and we transformed it to a kitchen that features 5 solid workspaces which is amazing. Finishing touches were completed with care to my detail-oriented liking. Each day his crew arrived on time and each day they departed our home leaving the construction site vacuumed and tidy. Martin strives to make your vision a reality and the process of getting there is painless due to his, "Can do" attitude. His primary crew has worked with him for decades, a testament to his collaborative and industrious nature. Martin has a reliable network of subs that he coordinates expertly and he managed city permitting along the way. I value working with The Sanchez Builders to the extent that I referred him to do work for my elderly parents. I recommend The Sanchez Builders. If he is booked out several months, he is worth the wait. read more

Martin and his team at The Sanchez Builders, LLC were amazing. Last year we had them replace our sliding doors and old windows and installed Milgard windows throughout our home. We are extremely happy with the results! When dealing with contractors it's good for you to know I'm a stickler on timing, quality and work area cleanliness and they superseded my expectations. The workmanship was impeccable and the day to day work ethic simply superb. We will work with them again. I have before and after images if you want to see them. read more

I hired Martin to renovate a very old and out-of-date kitchen and over the course of six months he and his team, not only built the most beautiful kitchen, they also renovated two bathrooms and added on a deck -- also beautiful and very well done. Quality of work and attention to detail is fantastic. I have no plans to ever work with another contractor. He is the best and an absolute pleasure to collaborate with. read more

Martin and his team were excellent to work with. Very good communication and coordination. I plan to use them again for additional projects. This project was replacing windows on my personal residence. We also needed to deal with some dry rot and other repairs. All was accomplished to plan, timely, fair prices and very good attention to detail. read more

WE LOVE MARTIN SANCHEZ AND SANCHEZ BUILDERS! Martin and his team did a complete kitchen and media room renovation for us and we couldn't be happier. He is so knowledgeable, professional and kind. Best contractor you can hope to find. His team (especially Jesus) is so hardworking and courteous. They clean up thoroughly every day and even before they go on lunch break! His team spent more than an entire day just setting up a makeshift kitchen for us in the garage. The subcontractors he used were also amazing. A special shout out to Raphael, best painter around with awesome taste in music! And also Byron Fuentes, who handled the marble counter fabrication/installation. Our renovation was not an easy, cookie cutter renovation. See attached pictures to see what beautiful work they did. All the cabinets were custom built locally and we had a lot of special custom work done. Martin's attention to detail and professionalism made everything go smoothly. For example, one of the last items to be installed was a hand-fabricated custom zinc hood with an external blower. The installation was really difficult and on a Saturday Martin and his team had to reroute a couple of drainage pipes in the ceiling which were crossing the intended path of the new flue. He called two plumbers and they got it done in a matter of a few hours. We really got to know Martin and consider him a friend. As much as we love our new kitchen, we actually miss Martin being here everyday. How many people can say that about their contractor?! He is such a warm and generous person. You can tell he treats his crew really well. He often would buy us lunch and even brought us homemade breakfast burritos. Their work is top notch. Dealing with Martin is easy and stress free. He will come up with a solution for any difficult situation. We trust Martin completely. Martin is honest and honorable and runs his business that way. read more

Martin and his team are amazing! Best contractor I have ever worked with/hired! His work is top notch with lots of attention to details. He has been working in construction all his life and is actually "working" on site, side by side his team, leading the way. He really understands all facets of construction and not only teaches the younger guys the right way to do things, but hires only top people in each of their fields (electrical, plumbing, painting, etc)-doing things the right way, the first time. Most of his customers are repeat customers and will wait months to have him and only him work on their projects--now I know why! A++ Contractor--yes, the only one I know that should get this rating! Our initial project: 4 new sliding glass doors, 3 windows. (2 of these were 8foot tall by 8 foot wide doors) Expanded project: Kitchen electrical, fireplace wall, interior french doors, wall texture and painting. Soon to come project: Entry/foyer and guest bathroom read more

This review is long overdue. We were introduced to Martin through a neighbor who raved about Martin and his crew after a kitchen and laundry room renovation. My husband and I checked out the work and it looked amazing. When Martin came by to meet us to get introduced and hear about our project, we immediately felt comfortable with him and could see ourselves doing business with this person on a daily basis for a long project. Fast forward to when we kicked off our home remodel, we were constantly impressed. Martin and his guys started on the planned kickoff date, were always on time, so courteous and polite, and did an incredible job cleaning up daily (my husband and I were living through the construction and were newly pregnant so limiting dust was important). Martin always had people lined up for us to talk to for materials we were buying and we had great experiences with those he had relationships with. If there were any issues that came up Martin made sure we were taken care of. We ended up completing our remodel on time and budget right when our baby was born which made becoming new parents a lot smoother. We still a year and a half later call Martin as a resource for help and he's always willing to find a way to help us. He and his guys became part of our family and I would hands down recommend him for any home project. read more

I found Martin on Yelp actually. From beginning to end he ensured my satisfaction. His employees completed the job in the time frame he provided and treated my home as if it were his. They cleaned up everyday and did a full clean up upon completion, including my backyard where they cut the tile. He worked with us on the pricing so we could afford the project; within reason obviously. I couldn't be more happy with my new master bathroom. He doesn't usually answer his phone but he always calls back same day. I would highly recommend Sanchez Builders for any home project and we'll be using them again should we do any more remodeling. read more

Martin is one of a kind. He is an extraordinary builder that is always on time, diligent, prompt and knows code to the tee. Great service, workmapship, and value. Martin was referred to us as we got our old home ready to sell. His team replaced our roof: removed the old shake roof, laid down new plywood, installed composition shingles, upgraded vents, and replaced gutters. His team also painted the home interior. Martin ran both jobs professionally, keeping us informed and responding well to our priorities, our feedback, and The Unexpected. The crew did top notch work, helping us get full value for our home. We'll happily call upon Martin to help us in the future. read more

Our family home flooded, so I had the pleasure of looking for a contractor to get us put back together. A yelp search brought me to Sanchez Builders. I spoke with Mr.Sanchez and we set an appointment. He let me know he couldn't start the job for a few weeks and that we probably wanted someone sooner. I told him it was ok and we would see him Saturday. He agreed and said he would give me a call Friday to verify the 12 o'clock time. Friday afternoon came and went. My attempt at contact was unanswered so I had my husband call on his phone...what do you know, he answered. He changed the time to 5-5:30 and said he would call when he was close by so we would know to go to the house to meet up....we never received that call. We never heard from him. I hope his building skills are not as bad as his customer service skills. read more

We met Martin and his team through our real estate agent who recommended him to re-sand our floors. They did an amazing job on them. As a result we used them again on our new place in Danville. It all started with Martin coming onsite for a bid to paint and do some general repairs. I was impressed with his attention to detail and how he planned to get the work done correctly. Once we agreed to the details of the work Martin and his team came onsite and started prepping for paint. They spent more than a week just on prep. After they painted They addressed my gutters, decking issues and worked in the attic. They worked clean and never left a mess. I think the best thing is that Martin and his guys really want to serve the customer. Every little thing I brought up was addressed almost immediately, they never sat on my requests and did a lot of little extras to make me appreciate them that much more. Martin found several other issues while working on my house and fixed it immediately, he said more than once " I can't leave it that way now that I've seen it" We plan to use them in the future again to do our kitchen remodel, they are great to work with. read more

Martin Sanchez with The Sanchez Builders is such an amazing contractor! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We couldn't have asked for a better contractor to partner with on building a detached in-law unit. We are incredibly happy with the work that he and his crew did. We dealt exclusively with him from start to finish and he was there every day not only overseeing the job but working with his guys as well. His subcontractors are great, always professional, friendly, and they cleaned up the job site every day. Not only was his work exceptional, he was clear and concise communicating with us on every aspect of the job, AND the job was done on schedule and within budget! I can't say enough about how happy we are with the project. We were pleased when the project was complete but were actually sad to see them go. They were such an integral part to our day. We will definitely use him in the future! read more

I was referred to Martin Sanchez by Lamorinda Moms. We recently bought a house in Orinda that had dry rot damage on the exterior. Martin was an extraordinary professional. He was responsive to my initial request for a bid. He submitted a competitive written bid and contract. He completed everything within the projected time and did not go beyond the agreed-upon contract price. The exterior of our house looks great! He also rerouted our (very old) dryer air duct so it went outside rather than blowing in our garage. That too works very well. We are very happy with Martin's work and his crew. They were courteous, clean and professional. We will definitely be using him for future home improvement/repair projects. read more

Sanchez Builders were responsive, professional and knowledgeable. I met with Martin to review the job, which was a custom door install that required precise craftsmanship and attention to details. His team was on-time, thorough and on-budget. We were very impressed with how smoothly this project was executed and completed. They handled everything from ordering, installing to painting the door. Their expertise was invaluable. It was an awkward door that never quite functioned well, but they were able to perfectly construct and install the door. Sanchez Builders came highly recommended to us and we are thankful we found them--we will definitely be calling them again. read more

My comments mirror those already made by others. To wit: great in everry category. Very professional. We initially contacted him to discuss an ad on/remodel for my daughters home. We were impressed with his knowledge, understanding of what we want, his suggestions were right on point. We knew immediately we would engage him/his company for the project. While we prepare plans for the remodel , we engaged him to replace a crumbling front porch. Both my daughter and myself are beyond pleased with the result. The work was done in a timely way and exceeded our expectations - the porch is beautiful - but beyond that is he and his crew went the extra mile on a number of small things that needed to be done and weren't in the origional plan. Due to the quality of the work we have every confidence that the remodel will be stellar.. I can't recommend Martin highly enough. read more

We used Sanchez Builders for our window renovation as well as a garage renovation where we switched the garage door to face the street. Can't say enough good things about Martin and his crew. Martins work is exceptional! I have used him for the past 12 years in the 4 of my properties. I was moving up in real estate every 2 years upgrading fixer upers with the aid of Martin and his crew No job; was too small the last job taking out a wall and making an open floor plan renovating the kitchen and bathroom helped me sell the last house quickly way over asking price allowing me to finally afford San Francisco. Martin even came out here to remodel my kitchen and both bathrooms as well as install hardwood flooring throut. He also replaced a few windows, the front stairs as well as some dry rot. The crew is clean quick and priced right. You cant go wrong with Sanchez Builders. Tell them Kevin sent you. read more

Martin Sanchez & his crew has just finished my total remodeling of my Master bedroom suite.Beyond the regular tore down & installations & the massive tile work, he puts the moldings around my fire place & windows & painted my walk-in closet etc . He attended details & has good eyes for beautiful work. He enjoys sharing his experience & is flexible & pleasant. Everyday he makes sure the crew will clean up before they leave. Martin is truly exceptional contractor with a complete focus on making sure you are happy with every aspect of the work! He is leading his team and subcontractors to completely renovate our kitchen - moving everything in the kitchen (bigger island, moving cabinets, moving windows, etc.), raising the ceiling to the roofline, installing 2 skylights, adding two new huge sliding open doors (like nanawalls), moving the furnace to the attic, etc. It is a combination of structural and framing working as well as all the finishing touches. Martin has been super accommodating as we have made decisions while the work progressed and always has great ideas and recommendations that he thinks we'll like - and is usually spot on! Also Martin has a fairly unique ability to make you feel good even when you want something that requires him to do extra work! He suggests ways to get the look/function we want and suggests ways to save costs and time. Clearly, we will be using Martin for any future remodeling/rennovations (bathrooms are next!) and more minor updates including updating moudlings throughout the house, fixing other things, etc. Highly, highly recommended. read more

We have used Martin on all our construction projects over the past 7 years and have been exceptionally pleased with every job. He is very professional, responsive and does what he says he will do when he says he will do it every time! The quality of his work is very high as well. Simply a pleasure to do business with in every aspect and this is not something that can be said for many builders! He has renovated our kitchen, master bath, finished an office space for us and has just completed a major addition to our home so he has done jobs of all sizes and complexity and has helped us navigate the very picky Lafayette city planning department without a hitch. Again, something that not many of my neighbors can say about their experience with other builders. This is the second time in my life that I have given a review on Yelp, but I felt compelled to do so because I cannot recommend Martin high enough. Very courteous, trustworthy and his pricing is very fair, in fact I always feel that we got more for our money than expected. Chad Follmer Lafayette, CA read more

We had excellent service from Martin and his team in repairing stucco around our French doors, the experience of working with him was a real treat and he fully deserves a five star rating. He is very friendly and communicative, and he explained the work needed and the stages he would take. The repair was needed after the original stucco leaked water onto the door frame, and Martin carefully assessed the cause and made an invisible repair. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of construction, his work ethic is highly professional, and he is courteous and reliable. The quality of work, and attention to detail, is superb. We always got a prompt response from him to phone calls, texts, and emails. Martin is the best contractor we have worked with in the seven months of our home renovation project, and we have already asked him to quote on new work. Highly recommended! read more

Martin Sanchez is a very impressive contractor. Martin and his crew did an exceptional job on many complicated projects on both of our Orinda and Lafayette homes. He is very detailed oriented and is a perfectionist in all that he does. He resided our home, repainted our home, installed Marvin windows and French sliders in our house with beautiful moldings that he chose, and fixed some drainage issues for us as well. I learned about Martin from my neighbor in Lafayette and he did a bathroom remodel for them that turned out great. Martin will not finish a job until you are a 100% happy. He has always stayed within the limits of his proposed estimates and was reasonable in his pricing. I highly recommend Sanchez Builders. They are licensed and permitted and just great. I write this review a bit reluctantly, Martin and his crew did an amazing job on my remodel, but I need to make sure that he is available for my next job. I'm afraid that if everyone finds out how good he is he will be booking a year out. He quoted and kept to the cost and schedule. He and his crew arrived every day on time and worked quickly and professionally. He proved on a number of occasions that he is extremely knowledgable about construction, especially when the plans were incorrect. Martin Sanchez was recommended to this year to help out with the huge apartment turnover we handle every year. The various contractors have to assess the damages and cleanliness of each apartment in their assigned building. They have very little time to make the apartment ready for the next tenants. He was assigned to one of our older buildings, and to date, this is the one building we have had zero complaints about. He was always responsive, communicative, and pro-active. He listened to our demands and worked with us to make everything happen. We are looking forward to using him for many more jobs around the various properties we manage. read more

I would recommend Sanchez Builders for any type of construction or remodel job. Martin (owner) and his crew are extremely professional from start to finish, very personable, reliable, and of course most importantly their quality of work is excellent. Martin's knowledge and ability to understand the proper methods and approach to a job was clearly evident when he first came out to provide an estimate. Our job consisted of replacement of windows and patio doors throughout the house. There were several challenges that they ran into but negotiated it all flawlessly. We had several other major jobs completed prior to hiring Martin and really regret not meeting him sooner. I will also say that Martin's crew was excellent as well. Often times a contractor will show up to give an estimate and then turn the job over to subs and is rarely seen on the job. Martin oversaw the project from start to finish but his work ethics are instilled in his crew as well. Martin will be our first call for remodel jobs going forward. read more

Martin, Vincente and several others that came for particular parts of the job were absolutely fantastic. We had the wiring in the house we rent re-done by a different contractor and substantial patchwork (mud, base boards, crown molding, painting) was needed. Martin and his team were very professional, friendly to our kids and animals, and the best part was how clean they were day in and day out. They also insulated both the attic, subfloor, and hung a new front door, which ended up requiring all new framing. Tons of attention to detail in the work and since we were still living in the house while the work was being carried out, they always cleaned up at the end of the day so well that you wouldn't have known they they were there. Martin and Vincente on multiple occasions did little extras so the work was done right. We will definitely go with Sanchez Builders again and have already referred them to others. read more
