Plenty of variety. Tacos look tiny but getting two is very satisfying. The staff is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. I tried their strawberry cider - it's tart and punches you with strawberry. Love this place.

Came here with a page out of the Brooklyn Pub Pass. The Sampler has a fridge stocked full of craft beer bottles and cans and a bar with rotating craft taps. They also have a limited food menu that seems to change every day. We came here tonight when they were serving Dominican food. We got here around 7 while the place was still relatively empty. There's lots of art on the walls and even t-shirts for sale. They seem to heavily support the local art community. To eat, my friend went with the Chimi Burger and I went with the El Dominicano. The El Dominicano was delicious and served with Pernil and Sausage. The Chimi Burger was served on two tostones instead of buns. Both came out fresh and hot and were delicious! To drink, we went with the Harlem Sugarhill Blonde Ale and the Artisanal Fulton Amber Ale. The Harlem Sugarhill was good especially paired with the food. The Artisanal Ale had a sweet yummy taste to it. I also got to sample the Gunhill Gose which was a sour beer with the after taste of peanut butter and jelly. It was strangely good! The bartenders were very attentive and happy to answer our questions. I would definitely come back to sample the different taps and chefs!

Come here for beer. -If you are a lover of beer. -If you are looking for the latest yummy local flavors. -If you just want to stop and get a glass of something delicious on the way home -If you've had a long, long work day This is the place for locals. But can also be the place for those looking to taste what's new. I love crafty beers. I am especially a fan of the IPA's. I used to hate IPA but now consider them the Gin of beers. Some people hate Gin but there are so many complex flavors and there's an herbaceous taste that I find very appealing. I am one of those Gin Martini peeps. Back to beer....IPA's also have those complex layers. And IPA are a plenty at The Sampler. There are some pricey IPA's but here's where sizing is helpful. Some beers you can sample as a 6 oz or commit to a 10 oz. I was in luck the other night and it was happy hour. I was able to get a 10oz beer for the price of a 6 oz. Awe yeah! You heard me right. Happy hour and it was ALL NIGHT! The local breweries are Other Half, Sixpoint and Singlecut to name a few. There's also some new breweries to me, Two Roads from Connecticut and Finback and Bridge and Tunnel from Queens. It felt like an educational drinking experience. The Other Half - Kerstperiode" 10% was my favorite. I still need to do some more research I think. It was difficult to tear me away but at the same time we aren't talking about PBR. These beers are S-T-R-O-N-G! The beauty too is that if the taps wasn't enough you also have clear glass door fridges full of even more beers to pick from. You can also take growlers home of your favorite beers. And the snacks here range from grilled cheese, olives and chips. I want to check out the Monday trivia. Even though I think someone put a curse on my trivia game and ever since, then I have not been very good. I'm hoping that curse will be lifted soon. And maybe The Sampler will be the place. And I love the current beer art show and there is another art show coming soon. I'm a sucker for beer and art. So count me in.

I don't have many pictures because I'm always having so much fun here. Just trust that the food is bomb as are the drinks. The music is always good. The bartenders are the friendliest people on planet earth. If you're in the neighborhood, there's no reason to go anywhere else. That's the honest truth.

I am honestly not sure how to review The Sampler. I absolutely love the concept - a bar where you could discover unusual and local craft beers, either on-tap or by purchasing a can or bottle. Essentially, it was a bar-beer shop hybrid. The bartenders were really patient, allowing us to have a sip of a draft and detailing the flavors of some other beers for purchase. After some deliberation, I settled on Off Color Brewing's Dinosmores. The bottle was about $7, which was not terrible, but then we found out that there was a fee for opening it! This was surely something that could have been mentioned to us before we had decided to pass over the tap list! In the end, it wound up adding about $3 to my cost, which was annoying. Plus, this recommended beer was terrible! It was sweet, heavy, and had a medicinal, syrupy flavor to it. There was also no head when I poured it into my glass, making me wonder if it was expired. Since they had only been open for a month, I will give them the benefit of the doubt on that part, but it was still a terrible beer, of which I was only able to drink half. I had enjoyed other varieties from this brewery in the past, so this had been disappointing. Overall, I would return to The Sampler, but would only stick to the tap beers to avoid the added fees and potentially foul beers.

The Sampler is one of the best Bars I've been to in Brooklyn and I was raised here. The atmosphere and the decor are awesome. The service is quick and accommodating. There's a great variety of music, beer, and people. Leo the owner is always welcoming and attentive. He shows how much he really cares about his customers. Have amazing delivery service too! You have to try their Brunch! Amazing guest chefs. Ask for the Beermosa!

This is honestly the BEST BAR IN BUSHWICK. The Decor alone could do it for me. They have a bunch of awesome events every night and they have some days when they do brunch it's DELICIOUS the staff was great! They answered all my questions and made sure I was taken care of the whole night. Even when there was a full house. This place gets packed quick most nights so come early! The DJ is it's always a good time when I come here ! The beer here is awesome they have all kinds of Draft beers too that's the main focus of the bar. Draft beer

However, my friends and I were here for the food, so that's what this review is based on. She-wolf Sourdough (7/10) - It was good bread, but nothing really special. Hot Crab Dip (7/10) - Very veggie forward flavors, but you do taste crab. Not bad. Btw, this dish comes with a few pieces of the She-Wolf Sourdough. Danish Dog (7.5/10) - Great snap to the bite of the dog itself. Bread was great. Pickles are interesting, but the curry mayo should be stronger and more bold. Simple mustard would have been better. Old Bay Chicken Wings (8/10) - Nice plump and juicy wings with that dusting of Old Bay seasoning. Yum! Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/10) - Chicken was fried well and bread was fine. However, the chili miso honey was way too much for me. Too sweet, not spicy at all, and just didn't work well. Dry Aged Burger (7/10) - Beef patty needs more seasoning and a better crust. No real char at all, though a decent beef flavor was present. Not into the sprouts, but the tomato jam was good. From what I heard, I had high hopes for the food here. In the end, it was a satisfying meal, but nothing special something I travel so far for again.

I was not disappointed AT ALL!! First impressions: it's a bit of a compact space, but there's also plenty of tables/seating to choose from....although it does fill in fast!! We came relatively early around 4pm, so we were able to take advantage of some of their Happy Hour prices, including: $14 Fried Chicken Sandwich $10 Cocktails, including the Frozen Espresso Martini I also got the Smash Burger and the Yuzu Sake, which weren't included in the Happy Hour. You order your food & drinks at the bar, but they bring the food out to wherever you're sitting once it's ready. As for the cocktails, they were both great!! The Frozen Espresso Martini was very creatively presented and I enjoyed the look and taste of it. The Yuzu Sake was strong and great quality! For the food, both the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Smash Burger were delicious!! The Fried Chicken Sandwich especially tasted so unique and creative with the sauce on it, but I also just really loved the solid burger and could tell it had excellent quality. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Torst, and I highly recommend stopping by to grab some of their food and drinks!

He started out as a salesman for Brooklyn Brewery during the 1980s. Eventually he founded his own beer imports company called Raven Importing Company. Raven ultimately wanted to open his own craft beer bar and bottle shop where he could offer consumers microbrews and high quality European brews. The new business, dubbed Brouwerij Lane, was the first of its kind in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood. Brouwerij Lane has 19 rotating draught lines as well as 150+ cans and bottles of local, imported, rare and unique craft brews. Raven also teamed up with brewmaster Chris Prout to open the Dirck the Norseman restaurant and brewpub in 2014. It later evolved into Greenpoint Beer & Ale Company, but it sadly closed its doors in 2024. I recently visited Brouwerij Lane while I was in Brooklyn to see a concert. I arrived early in the day so I could explore some beer bars and shops throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Both neighborhoods have bustling craft beer scenes. Brouwerij Lane has been on my list of places to explore for a while. The interior is small but cozy. There were maybe six other customers enjoying beers when I arrived. I grabbed a table and then looked over the impressive draught menu. I decided to start off with a pour of Mighty Squirrel Brewing's "Volare" (Italian Pilsner). Italian Pilsners are my favorite variety of pilsners, and this one was excellent. Dry-hopped with noble hops, "Volare" (Italian for 'to fly') was crisp and delicious with a nice blend of citrusy notes and hints of freshly baked bread. I also had a look at the shop's impressive can/bottle selection and purchased a can of Brown Girl's Brew's "Lemon Pound Cake" (Lager) to take home. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Brouwerij Van Steenberge's "Tripel De Garre" (Belgian Tripel). This was an AMAZING Belgian beer that had some excellent spice notes. I had an excellent experience at Brouwerij Lane and I highly recommend them to craft beer aficionados or those who want to learn about craft beer!
