This place is a joke. It appears everyone is drunk all the time and they love to lie about what they've inspected or repaired. Huge waste of time and money on multiple trips. I asked to speak with the owner and they said he'd call but he never did. I also emailed him and he never responded. They also charge you a fee if you want to use your credit card, probably because they were getting so many people fighting the charges with their credit card company. I hardly ever write reviews, but I was extremely pleased with my service with The RV Guy. After a quick call, I was texted a link to their scheduling app. A week later I had my appointment with them. I received call about an hour before my scheduled service to say they were on their way and they arrived a few minutes before schedule. Being a new RV owner, I had several questions about different functions and how things worked. He went over everything with me patiently and tweaked several things that weren't working just right. I had them try to fix a 2018 Casita travel trailer that had a black tank leak. I had diagnosed the issue, provided the main part for the fix, as well as provide an etrailer.com link to the other part that needed to be replaced. When I took it to their shop, Matt discussed what he was going to do, which supposedly was going to remove the lid to the black tank, replace the part from etrailer, and then put it back together. I left with the assurance that an expert was going to be taking care of the issue. Well - couple of days pass without any word from Matt, so I called for status, and instead, he states he will use a spray sealant. Ok, cool - let's see if the easy fix will do the trick. A couple of days pass, with no word. I call again - Matt tells me the sealant didn't work, and that he was going to try a marine grade sealant instead and that it will require 72 hours to dry. Ok cool - let's try that. I wait MORE than 72 hours for any news. Nothing...so I call again. At first, no response - so I text them. Matt calls me back, says that didn't work. Now he says he will try to apply more this time. I reluctantly agree, but this time, I will pick it up and let it dry in my possession instead. Well, I waited a week and of course, the leak is still there. I sent Matt a text message indicating the status, just to see if he cared, and no reply. Go figure... I opened up the tank (as Matt said he would do), just to see in horror the mess these guys left in there. Not only had they applied almost irremovable amounts of this marine grade sealant, basically making the necessary repair next to impossible, but they actually left the wood applicator they were using to apply the sealant glued inside the black tank. So in summary, although I commend Matt and his team for trying, and for at least answering my phone calls (sometimes), they were lacking in: 1) Communication - I did not receive ONE status call, email or text that was not in response to me nagging after not hearing from them. 2) Lack of knowledge 3) Sloppy work 4) Following the agreed upon work to be performed These guys seem very busy, so I'm sure that affects their performance, but still, I paid $400 to be back to square one, and with a situation that is much worse than it was at the beginning. This has been one of the most horrendous experiences I have ever had with any dealer, retailer, shop etc. Our camper was dropped off October 20th 2023. The claim was for some damage on the roof, a ladder that needed reattached, and an awning that needed fixed. Not only did we get a different story each time we called for an update. We were lied to repeatedly. At one point they said all they were waiting on was the decals and ladder. Then it was just the decals. They had said the whole team was working on it. Then a few weeks ago they said they had found damage to the roof which was part of the claim! Not to mention this camper is my partners primary living space so he has been without a home for months. When we went and looked at this camper in person, we were horrified. It has been completely disassembled in areas that had nothing to do with the claim! Then we were told by a manager that she has been in RV's for 8 years and the average wait time is 8 months!! Why are these people NOT telling people this?! We are going on 4 months and its completely unusable at this point. I am disgusted by this company. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I had a problem with my Onan generator, it wouldn't turn over. I called and Matt got me in the next day. As soon as I got there they got on it and worked hard to resolve the problem and get me back on the road. No other shop wouldn't even look at the generator for a month or more. Matt is awesome. We had our motorhome over at camping world for warranty work on the fridge which would not stay running on propane. They were completely unable to diagnose or fix the problem. We called Matt and he was over to the house within 2 days and able to diagnose the problem in a short amount of time.We got the part ordered and he was able to fix our fridge in no time at all. And it was covered by warranty!! I would give more than 5 stars if that were an option. read more

I called 15 RV places and everyone gave me the cold shoulder that they were booked out, even if my problem was easy to look at and diagnose. I recently purchased my first RV and with all the systems and components I failed to identify a problem with my rear taillights, running lights and backup light. The headlights, brake lights and front and rear turn signals and emergency flasher worked. I called the RV Guy and explained the situation and Jared said that he could get me in that morning or the next day. I was able to get it to their shop within an hour and Jared proceeded to troubleshoot the issues. He spent an hour testing the lines in the rear of the RV and worked his way to the front. He was able to make the rear taillights and running lights illuminate while testing and checked all the fuses under the driver side compartment and the power distribution fuse box under the hood. All the fuses tested good. I didn't have a physical manual for my E-450 chassis, so he was able to search the system on his phone and began checking empty fuse slots in the power distribution box and tested power to a fuse slot that was empty and identified as Trailer Battery Charge Relay, Modified Vehicles. Jared replaced the fuse with an adjacent fuse and the affected light systems were illuminated. I was with Jared during the testing and he explained the procedures and the results as he progressed through the vehicle. This was a huge issue for the vehicle usability at night and the fact that is was a simple fix was a great relief. Jared also replaced a rear side light marker light and the charge was a one hour diagnostic and $5.00 for the LED replacement light. I am happy to acknowledge the exceptional customer service and commitment to resolving the issue in a timely and effective manner. As another reviewer commented "This is the way Service is supposed to be done!" and I agree 100%. I would Highly recommend Jared without hesitation to address your RV needs and issues. Not only is he a skilled technician and will go the extra mile, his rates are very fair and affordable. This is the way SERVICE is supposed to be done! Jared gets straight to the point, addressing the issue at hand, and not finding more things that need to be "fixed." We have had RV service in Las Vegas, Southern California, Oregon, Montana and a few other places. And while most of it was good service, The RV Guy was GREAT service. We had no hot water and two of our burners would not light on the stove. All the stove was, was a loose wire. All the Hot Water Heater was, was just some switches in the wrong position due to Winterizing. During my fifth wheel warranty period I naturally took my rig to my dealer who performed good work during that period. The drive there took longer than I had wanted so when my rig's warranty expired, I needed to find a place more local. When I read the reviews for RV Guy, I was slightly skeptical. NOBODY could be that good! Boy, was I wrong! These guys are the absolute best! Jared and his team were totally accommodating and incredibly knowledgeable about what can go wrong with big Rv's. They immediately diagnosed several issues that my dealer overlooked, fixed an issue with my fridge (at no extra charge!) and finished the work in a very reasonable amount of time. My wife an I can now feel very comfortable knowing our rig is ready for a great season of camping because we have experts like Jared, Nick, Landon, and the rest of the great team at RV Guy in our corner.
