The food was sooooo good! I love this place they never seize to make me happy. I went in for a solo lunch date and got a couple items to go for later but while I ate there the kaopoon was sooooo delicious so fresh you can even see the steam through the photo how hot it was! Service was great as always!

Set in a small strip mall parking lot, if you blink you'll miss it. The restaurant itself is fairly small with four tables of 4 seats each. The small size coupled with the sweet host and hostess and lovely music make it very welcoming, relaxing and cool...yes the temperature is perfect in this hot heat! They close for a few hours in between lunch and dinner, so we came as soon as they reopened back up for dinner. Within minutes a family joined us as well as someone to pick up an order. They were obviously regulars because the host knew them by name...a great sign!! The menu had limited offerings but they all look delicious. We told them we were on a time crunch and they said it should be fine as they just opened. We also asked for slight modifications, substuting noodles for rice and adding brocolli to the bulgogi. As we waited for our food, you could hear the sizzle of the wok....making my mouth water!!! They were true to their word and brought our food out quickly, about 20 minutes. And boy was it tasty and very generous portion!! This is definitely a must try if your in the area. It's a win all the way around, the food, the price, the staff and the comfy restaurant!

I finally made it in to try the Rustic Table. Headed over on a Wednesday night thinking it might not be too busy. Turns out, the dining room is tiny, so we were told 35 minutes. From looking around, I estimated that it would probably be quicker than that so we opted to stay. Luckily around 10 minutes we were seated at a table. I wish they would open up the loft for more seating, I think they could really rake in the business. (Or even for big parties.--maybe they do, not sure) Their food is phenomenal. Unfortunately, we could not get anything rolled that night so we couldn't sample some of the menu items we were hoping to. We got the butterfly shrimp--which were delicious, the Kaopoon, which really hit the spot, and the beef pho, perfectly salty. My kids had the teriyaki chicken and rice, which was tasty, but a small portion. I think next time I'll order the rustic bowl from the adult menu for a little more food. Only complaint is the lack of seating (5 tables). But the wait did go quickly, thankfully people weren't camping out all night. Server was very sweet. Amazing food and flavors and we can't wait to come back and try more.

I cruised past many fast food places to get to this spot, which is about a mile off the highway 5, but it's totally worth it. I had the kimchi fried rice lunch special, which comes with an egg roll and a side salad. I chose the house dressing, which reminded me a little of a Japanese ginger dressing, and was very good. The fried rice had 3 large prawns, perfectly cooked, plenty of pork belly, and a little bit of egg (but no egg on top, sadly). Service was friendly and efficient. They were obviously watching me on a camera they have positioned for the front room. I had the whole place to myself at 12:30 on a weekday, but I get the feeling they do a lot of takeout? It was quiet, I enjoyed the music (modern country), and it was a great place for solo dining. (As an aside, I wish Yelp had a filter for that!) Will definitely stop back here next time I'm nearby.

Definitely go eat here. End of review. Just kidding, but that's the most important thing I have to say. This place is good. I've never had kaopoon before but I'm a fan now. It was so delicious. I loved all of it. The egg rolls are light and tasty. The wings are so yummy, but be warned if you have a mild palette that they might be too spicy. They were right at my limit, and I'm no spice heavyweight. I will say they tasted really good if you can handle the heat. The staff were all top notch. Everyone asked how we liked it, were smiling, and made us feel welcome. The restaurant has cool decor and although it's small, it was well set up. You won't be able to seat a group bigger than four from what I saw. In conclusion, go eat here.

On our way to Portland and stayed in Redding for the night. We were looking a small "mom and pop" to support local business and found this GEM. Generous portions, food was crafted beautifully, and the service excellent. 10/10 a must if you're in the area. If you're looking for something quick, this is not the place for you. Try a fast food joint. Rustic Table takes pride in their dishes and they deliver with phenomenal taste. Put your phones down, have a conversation, and enjoy their culinary confections.

Food is okay but not up to our standards since we came from Southern California where the food cultures is very diversity. The portion is small compared to the price too

SUCH good food. We came up from San Francisco and this place is some of the best Asian Fusion we've ever had. Everything was absolutely delicious, steak was tender, pho was so flavorful. The service was awesome and super fast. We'd come here every night if we could!

Service and atmosphere: Nice attitude, and polite, but need lots of work to improve customer service and customer experience satisfaction. Our waitress welcomed and escorted us to the upstairs dining area because first level had about only 5 tables and they were full. We were seated upstairs and provided with the menus. It's customary to offer or ask if guests "would like cups of water?" before leaving the guest. We did not get any water, which at first was not a great deal, but the top level is extremely warm (almost 75-80 degrees) and it took a while for the waitress to get to us and we we're getting dehydrated pretty quickly. The waitress finally came to take our orders and we asked for drinks and water, and we placed our orders. Thank goodness the drinks arrived but sadly no water. Food and drinks: drinks were 7/10 because my Arnold Palmer had week flavors. The matcha drink was super good and had nice flavor. Our food took awhile to arrive. Food was 6.5/10. The staff member who brought our food upstairs, he fell down the top steps and the food spilled. We were very worried for his safety because it was pretty hard hit. I hope he is okay and did not get in any trouble for this. Which brings a safety code issue. Due to the incident, our order was delayed a bit more. Then the food arrived. First, the presentation of the food and the plating was good. One of our plates was missing so we had to ask for it. Second, when it arrived, it was cold and over cooked. Finally, my dish had exactly 4 small shrimps, which is not servings size. The spring rolls were absolute basic and no flavor. They had only lettuce rice noodles and half of shrimps. No basil or mint, no green onions or mung beans sprouts, no cucumbers and the sauce was very disappointing. There is a lot to improve on, and I hope this help the restaurant management team to work on implementing and getting better food and customer service to flourish in this area. Again, it's customary to bring the side table condiments, which we did not get at all neither asked if we would like to have some. Keep in mind, we were upstairs, so it was very difficult to flag any of the staff to ask for anything. We had 2 drinks, small soup, spring rolls, and rice dish. All came to a total of $67 and some cents. In my opinion it was too pricey for the quality, quantity and experience. Note: we asked one of the staff members to turn the AC, but it was not working. Eventually, he just left. So my husband got up and turn the large corner fan which was only one direction.

Came here for dinner after visiting Burney Falls. Service - Currently, food is only available for take-out. The girl taking our order was not wearing a mask, so that was a bit off-putting. Food - The food was surprisingly really good considering it was take-out! We ordered the pho and khao poon. Flavor was 10/10 for the pho and 8/10 for the khao poon. I know take-out is never as good, so I imagine the food must be really good during pre-covid dine-in.

Amazing food and service. We are from Bay area and did a roadtrip and passed by Redding. Just random searched a restaurant on Yelp and decided to give this restaurant a try. The decor is nice and peaceful. The restroom is clean and even has a changing station for my baby. The food is delicious. The service is the best. The waitress is so sweet, friendly and kind. I would definitely come back again if I pass by Redding again. Highly recommend especially the Hmong salad and the curry noodle. read more

Wow!! Authentic and delicious!! This place is a hidden gem. There are not many tables inside, but the food is to die for. I went during happy hour Tuesday-Friday from 2pm-5pm. They have a "pick 3 apps" for $12 deal. Their beef pho is soooooo good. The broth is delicious. Definitely going back. read more

Found this place for lunch on our way back to Sacramento from Klamath. The restaurant was packed with people, so we know this place is good. We ordered Hmong Pork Egg roll, Tofu Spring Roll, Kaopoon, Kimchi Fried Rice, and Pork Belly & Green Beans. Four of us shared these food and still have some left over to take home. Food tasted great and the service is very friendly and helpful. If you are passing by Redding, this is a must to grab some delicious food. Highly recommend this place. read more

If you have not been, you should. If you have, you know! Quaint little restaurant tucked away in a teeny tiny shopping center off Victor and Cypress. Clean, fresh, and sparsely decorated, we were happy to try several items off the menu. Their Spring rolls are freshly made, but with just noodles, lettuce, and shrimp inside, don't expect them to wow you! Excellent palette cleansers though! Aside from the Spring rolls, we ordered four items: Fire glazed Wings- Holy Heck Batman, these are out-of-this-world crunchy, savory, spicy, tender goodness and we will go back probably just for those. Kaopoon-Vermicelli noodle and chicken soup in a creamy red curry and coconut milk broth. The added bamboo shoots was a nice touch. Rustic Pho Bowl-Served in pretty much the biggest bowl you will ever see and filled with steak, brisket, meatballs, tripe, and prawns. Now we've had some pho where we were pretty sure there was a possibility the broth could be dishwater- but not here. It was rich, flavorful, and smelled delicious. Hats off to the chef on this meal- prepare to take at least half of it home! Beef Pho- No complaints on this dish either. Rice noodles with beef, meatballs, and brisket in their rich savory broth. We loved and appreciated the indoor dining and will visit again soon to try their other dishes. This place was way cleaner than any other restaurant open who's trying to follow the garbage COVID Rules. Mike was awesome. Stop in and say hi, order up some lunch or dinner from him. Great food and top notch service. The Korean dish isn't traditional ( they have their touch of substitution in the ingredients ) but still delish. We ordered Bibimpap with pork belly and bulgogi beef. Portion were ample and not a long wait considering only two tables were occupied during our visit. The tables were very sturdy and stable. The base looks industrial using wheels but they served well. Recommend this to those passing in the area. read more

The food is very well crafted. Flavors are blended seamlessly with inventive yet traditional sounding dishes. The Pho is perfection, a simple delicious broth, with the noodles and proteins, but little else, you the imbiber, the taster, you are in control of the direction this culinary journey takes. Spicy, umami, sweet, it's up to you what you add to your pho. You needn't expect a dish that comes packed with who knows what and is going either be a total hit or a complete failure. I've tried pho all over the country and nothing upsets me more than sampling a broth, then the noodles and broth, then altogether and all three fail the palate test. Pho is not supposed to taste like cilantro bouillon, most places don't seem to get that, but Rustic Table does. Their pho is fantastic. The pork belly is exquisite, thinly sliced, deep fried with a little batter (which I questioned at first glance), served with a bold chili oil sauce. The spring rolls were so fresh and delicious that my mouth is watering just thinking about them. No tough wrapping here, no stiff rolls where the innards fall out, no cilantro packed so tight it makes you sick. Perfection. The egg rolls were also mind-blowing. Fried crispy but not burned, the insides were hot and yet firm, not mush and not uncooked, just perfect. The Korean short ribs were delicious, marbled like a slab of prime meat, marinated delicately, sliced expertly, and served atop a tightly packed mound of sticky fragrant rice. With a side of some of the best fresh kimchi that makes me miss my elderly Korean neighbor from SoCal. I prefer mine on the mushy side personally, but this would have passed her tests, crisp, floppy, pickled and spicy, chilled and delicious. It was bursting with flavor. I found the prices to be pretty reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the wonderful service. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, but clean and modern. If you like fine Asian dining, you need to give this place a try. read more

My best friend and I went for lunch today. Wanted to try a variety of things. We ordered Spring Rolls, chicken wings, and Sausage as apps. All were so very good. For the entree He had the Kapoon, I had the Beef Pho. Again very flavorful. Our server was Julie who made sure we were never in need of anything. Her service was fantastic and she was extremely friendly. Please give them a try. read more

Stopped here during our long distance travels and it is totally WORTH EVERY BITE!! Accommodated our party of 12. We arrived as soon as they opened. They have small dining areas as well. Food was on point, service is fast and friendly. Waitresses came by to check on us periodically, which is great considering our large party seating was upstairs. Pho is absolutely delicious and full of flavor! That says a lot because we are picky about our pho broth. We ordered just about every section of the menu and everything tasted delicious! Relaxing atmosphere that leaves you to enjoy your conversation and some of the best food available in Redding. The Hmong Pork Egg Rolls will be the best egg rolls you've ever tried--deep fried to the perfect crisp texture. The Pho is flavorful, from broth to ingredients, and offers different sizes which is convenient. The Bibimbap and Rustic Roll are also great options although the Rustic Roll may be too light if you're looking for a large portion. If you're a wine aficionado, they served the red at room temp. This is a charming family-run restaurant and you can't go wrong ordering anything on the menu. read more

Wasn't my best experience at a new place. Broccolini was barely cooked very hard with lack of flavor. The chicken was not very good, definitely not fresh, had a chunk of fat in it. The rice was decent but overly sauced, the dish needed another vegetable in it it was lacking with only two little pieces of broccoli. Definitely felt overpriced for what you got. This a low key, quiet little Asian restaurant. We didn't stay to eat, but ordered our food to go. We chose the Rustic rice bowl (teriyaki chicken) and Kimchi fried rice. We also ordered a side of tofu. The teriyaki chicken was tasty, without too much sauce, overcooked gai lan (broccolini), and a little too much tendon in the chicken. The kimchi rice had good flavor, not too oily, had a few shrimp, but could have used a bit more pork belly. We will be coming back here again to try some of the other menu items. read more

Really good food! Nice owners. Little hole in the wall, that puts out some good eats. Wontons in chili soy sauce crispy prawnspho and pork belly with green beans upstairs could use a bit more ambience, but we will be back. read more

Basic South East Asian cuisine with some Korean items on the menu which I didn't try, but will someday. Good spot and decent parking. Service was slow, we arrived around 2:30 on a Saturday and there was only one other group dinning in beside us. My group ordered eggrolls, a meat and rice bowl, and beef pho. Very simple to taste, but still flavorful. The Lao's style papaya was not as heavy on the crab or shrimp paste as it normally should be, but it was still yummy. The pho was very light and basic broth in taste; hence, you can always add other condiments to your likings. The Arnold Palmer tasted like water not much flavor. I would definitely get the papaya and pho if I eat here again. read more

As name says, it rustic in that it is small and quaint. Service was outstanding. Food was good. Could of been a little more spice for my taste. I was able to add the heat/spice at the table. Definitely would recommend and I will return to try other menu items. read more

Tho i didn't take any pictures, that was effing delicious. My wife and I shared spring roll with shrimp and the kaopoon bowl. The spring roll was super fresh shrimp delicious all the ingredients was superb. The kaopoon bowl was a little on the spicy side but the chicken and the vegetables were all fresh and super yummy. The food was amazing and they stayed open a little bit later because we got there 5 minutes before closing. My daughter had the beef pho and loved it,I got the kimchee fried rice and loved and and my wife got Mongolian beef and loved it (and so did My daughter and I ) I would definitely recommend it. read more

The rice was gummy and I am not sure if it was overcooked or perhaps had too much sugar added which madeit overly sweet and congealed. We also ordered a dou le.order of the Hamachi sashimi which was fair but lacked that super rich butter flavor I crave. We were so hoping to find our go to sushi spot while visiting Raw. And I do think they have a place in the restaurant bar world. But their "place" is not for as a high end sushi restaurant. The quality is just not there. And I so wanted it to be. ‍
