On Easter with a server named Jesus was divine and he was very kind and gave great recs. The Rustic was one of the new places my fiancé and I had visited to try out while running errands on Saturday. We did come a bit early while they were still offering their brunch menus, but we were so hungry for lunch already! Our waiter recommended us to wait and brought the lunch menu ahead of time to see what they offered. As we were looking through the menu, the Cracklin' Deviled eggs caught our attention and ordered that as our appetizer. I will say, it was a bit underwhelming. I'm not sure what ingredients they used to season the egg yolk, but it tasted more like ginger or relish than anything else. I felt like if it had a bit more salt, pepper, and Dijon mustard, it would've been better. Now for the main course, we got recommended The Rustic Burger. Than one was great! It was juicy, tender, and very tasty with the green chili sauce. As you can tell, I completely forgot to take a picture of the burger. By the time it arrived to the table, we had inhaled it basically! Highly recommend the green chili sauce paired with the burger. Best for last was the dessert. A good ole banana pudding. This was not a small little glass of banana pudding, IT WAS HUGE!!! The cup you see is the same size as a drinking glass mason jar and we were too stunned to speak. Man, that banana pudding was so good that we were scrapping the cup to get every last bit of it. I take back anything that I said about the size. It was the perfect size because we were debating on whether or not to order another one. Overall, we were truly pleased with what we had ordered. In terms of price, expect to spend at least $45 dollars for a meal for two. The whole experience of The Rustic was worth it. There is live music and the atmosphere was amazing. There was a lot of space for the kiddos to play. There is inside seating, outside, benches, and big open spaces for dancing if you are into that. The restaurant itself is lovely. It's big and has plenty of seating. The live music is wonderful. Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My big and unfortunate complaint would be the food. Sadly for the price of the entrees the food was just bland. I paid $40 for a piece of flavorless fish. I had to use lemon and Tabasco sauce to give it some flavor. The most flavorful dish on the table was the salad! The salad! I would come here solely for the music and the bar, will not be eating here again. Her name is Kenya. She was so sweet funny outgoing and genuinely made my experience amazing I really hope this restaurant recognizes her for all that she does and giving me a wonderful and amazing experience that I have not had in a long time. Maybe this place was having an off night, because for as packed as it was, I'd expect the overall experience to be much better. The food was average to good. Solid American fare that tries to be creative, but misses the mark in overall execution. For example, my salmon was way overcooked as was another table mates. I did enjoy the flavor and spice level of the spicy Caesar salad. The services also misses the mark. It was exceptionally slow and our server rarely checked in on us. We had to ask to order three times. 20 minutes after ordering, they informed one of my fellow table mates that they were out of the trout. To the restaurant's credit, they comped his meal and provided an extra discount. Atmospherically, the restaurant is huge and gets very noisy. It was impossible to hold a conversation. Love this place! It was the last night of a Girl's Weekend so we wanted to go somewhere upbeat and fun for dinner and The Rustic delivered! The whole place has that great country vibe with live music and amazing food. For apps we had the Cracklin' Deviled Eggs and the Baked Oysters with Bacon and Parmesan and they were both delicious and good portions. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon which I really liked and the Baked Potato for a side was great and really loaded. My Old Fashioned was perfect. It would've been five stars but service could've been better. We sat at the bar and it took a while to get drinks, and when we ordered the dip duo it came out with the food and not as an appetizer, and when we did get our food silverware was hard to flag down. It wasn't too busy but I understand the bartender was alone and had to serve everyone just hoped it would've been speedier. Can't tell you because it "changes constantly" and they aren't forthcoming with the information until after you order. The grilled artichoke is good or, rather, the sauce on the artichoke made it good. Not sure which. I'm a saucy person, so I don't mind a vessel for a tasty sauce. The smoked dip was excellent. First time visiting The Rustic. I was so disappointed on how LONG the wait was for our food/drinks. Not only was our order messed up s, the way everything was handled was so unprofessional. We did have a large party but if two waiters were not able to attend our large order then they should have sent out more help. The manager on duty never came to check on us nor apologized for the inconvenience on the LONG the wait was or on why we kept getting the wrong orders. Then we had to wait another hour to get our bill fixed because the waiter failed to ask how to split the bill before taking our orders. It was definitely disappointing on how the service was handled. The cocktail was good. The ingredients blended well. Someone ordered the peanut butter dessert and shared. It was nice but you have to like peanut butter. They said no so we were ok with sitting above but apparently that set an entire vibe. We all ordered one drink and then they ordered another along with a shot. The bartender said shots weren't allowed . However the party next to us had three shots while we were there. I went up to order another drink before we left and the bartender said " we don't have anymore vodka". None of us were drunk. My husband's boss was willing to spend any amount of money. I wanted to celebrate my birthday with a group of 14 people (7 adults & 7 kids) and I saw helpful reviews about big groups at this location and about specific servers that provide great service. I was happy that we ended up with Erwin by chance who was mentioned frequently. He was very friendly, helpful with suggestions and never rushed us despite some late guests. The picnic style table is very large and spacious. We sat close to the stage which was far enough away from others which was helpful with the energetic kids but the music can be very loud and hard to hold a conversation unless you are talking one on one. We ordered both the brunch family style and regular menu. Everyone really enjoyed their foods and barely had any to go. We had the brunch items and smoked dip duo as the appetizers. It was my first time trying pimento ever and it was really good! Three of the guests ordered the cedar plank salmon and devoured it. I got the beef tenderloin medium rare filet 6 oz with broccolini which was tender and pretty good for not an official steakhouse place. Someone ordered the portobello mushroom burger and it tasted so good that I didn't even feel like I was eating a mushroom. I don't like mushrooms at all so that was pretty amazing. The kids really enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries so we ended up ordering extra for them. We also got the Blue Razzleberry & Fruity Pebble Fizz drinks for the kids. They loved the presentation and cotton candy topping. I got a complimentary birthday dessert (peanut butter pie) which was super rich and very strong peanut butter taste!
