Me and my friend came in to have a seat and order a drink around 4 pm today, a Thursday afternoon. We have a dog so we had to sit outside, we asked the host and she asked us if we were ordering food or just drinks. We then responded just drinks and she told us that we couldn't sit at a real table because there was a wait list for the sports game that was just about to happen. My server was nice and our drinks were great. Once we left at 6 pm, the whole patio was empty as I shown in the picture. When directing us to our table, she never sat us just started pointing to random areas of the restaurant. The reason I am upset is because I don't understand how ordering food vs just drinks correlates with reservations, if we ordered food, those tables are still reserved, if we ordered drinks, the tables are still reserved so why can't we sit at a normal table?? Then the tables were still empty once we left so overall, this didn't have to do with reservation, this had to do with her not wanting to sit us at a normal table and this I found very rude overall especially since we were there for 2 hours and not anybody sat at those empty tables in the patio. We are still paying customers at the end of the day, if we ordered drinks or food. read more

Very chill vibe as you walk up, the music isn't too loud and you can sit inside or outside. Service was good, not super fast but also not overbearing. Cheese curds and fries were delish. Turkey club has a great crust and aioli in it which was awesome. Artichoke sandwich was good, but it definitely needs some perfecting of flavors. Side salad was meh. The star of my table was my Pineapple brulee mocktail. Talk about getting all of the vibes and happy you expect from a well made drink without the alcohol. Perfection. 10/10 would come back here just for the mocktails! read more

Roxy has been a staple for me for decades. They have changed quite a bit from the cool hang out it was in the 80's but the food is still worth driving an hour for in my case. I pretty much order the same thing as always. The falafel burger! Hands down the best burger ever!!! read more

I'm just reviewing The Roxy Hamburger. I ordered it medium well and without onions. It comes with fries or salad. I order the fries, they were also delicious, thick and tasty. So obviously I loved the cheese curds, but I was most surprised by the falafels. From the outside, they easily looked like they were overcooked and would be super dry, but that was not the case. Such a fun spot!! I came here for an engagement brunch for my family friends and it was a great vibe. They have a wide selection of food and drink options. I got the breakfast sandwich which was good however the cheese (american) was not my favorite. My friend got the eggs Benedict and thought it was amazing! Didn't get to take a picture of it but I had 2 whiskey sours from Dustin at the bar around 2:00pm was it was such an enjoyable experience. It was one of the best whiskey sours I've had in a really long time, he was so friendly & talkative and I can't wait to go back. The Roxy has always been a go to place in Encinitas. Amber and Ryan are great bartenders. I haven't eaten there so I can't comment on the food but it looks pretty good. Take a jacket as it's always pretty cold sitting at the bar. read more

I visited The Roxy Friday night April 12th around 10:30 pm,... There was a live band which was not so great however that did not deter people from having fun as it was packed full and with a line of people outside waiting to get in. One thing that was a major turn off was that as we were being let in by the handsome security/ ( which later I learned was the manager) ,.. He made a point to tell us that he would let us in this time but to TIP him next time... and apparently he is known for doing this on a regular basis,.... i learned after speaking with some regulars. This is not a club and if you want money at the door,... charge admission but don't be so tacky as to tell people to tip you especially as a manger of the establishment ... I have partied in some of the most VIP clubs in NYC, South Beach Miami and Vegas... And this place is a restaurant turn into a bar with live music in the evening.... So I wold say there is room for improvement ! read more

I have passed this restaurant quite a few times along PCH and I finally got to dine here for brunch. I love the fact that they have live music. They had a female singing while we were eating, which was a lovely way to start a Sunday morning. We had chilaquiles salsa verde and shrimp and grits. The chilaquiles had a small kick to it but overall was very good. We opted for the scrambled eggs as topping instead of over medium. It also included chopped avocados, which always makes any dish to be elevated in creaminess. . The shrimp and grits made me feel so comfy and quite full. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the grits had that creaminess texture, which was a good combination. This place is situated in the restaurant/shops row. If you are ever in the Encinitas area, this is a must try. We enjoyed our brunch so much! read more

Do not recommend eating here! Had brunch with a few girlfriends. One plate came with what looked like a cat hair. A second plate came out with a human hair in it. Informed our server, he was nice...however, the manager was lackluster about the poor quality control. A couple of us came out with a stomach ache....and I currently have food poisoning. I don't understand how the food could be so terrible.....from the hairs in 2 plates and getting food poisoning from mine. It seems like simple hygiene could resolve these issues. Yikes. read more

I enjoyed the Roxy, it was empty when I arrived since it was early in the day.. I grabbed a seat , got the menu and I was intrigued by the falafel burger It was really good. I also had the Hemingway... it wasn't my fav. I asked the server who was really nice.. I didn't catch her name but she suggested I try another drink.. and that drink was bomb. proseco , tequila & mint. it's now my go to drink for a casual outing. But I would def visit the Roxy again. Cocktails are great here! Corpse Reviver was the fan favorite. Brussels we're shareable by at least 4 people and we're covered in goodies like big chunks of bacon and shaved cheese. Churro was ok, but not worth $10. I'd skip that next time. I like the mix of seating types and the airflow since one whole wall is open. We came for live music on a Wednesday, but we're disappointed when we were told the musician had some emergency and couldn't make it. Queen playing through the speakers was fun though. Service was friendly. Timing was good and didn't take too crazy long to get drinks and food. Parking is always a challenge around here, so plan to get here a few minutes early and walk a block or two. read more

BRING BACK MAC AND CHEESE. They got rid of it on their menu and that was hands down the best food item. They do have good drinks tho!
