No way is this a five star business! Alberto's customer service was awful. My property manager hired him on my behalf, and I have never been treated so rudely by a contractor in my own home. I don't know if Alberto was on a time crunch or a budget crunch or was just trying to swindle me, but he proposed fixing a broken 30 year old faucet with superglue (no joke!). I let him know that a superglued faucet was not a suitable fix, and he seemed taken aback like I was questioning his professionalism (indeed I was!). Give me a break! It was a bizarre interaction, and I sensed he was taking advantage of the fact that I wasn't the one signing his check. He kept barking orders at me, and then left my upstairs bathroom a mess with dirt and scuff marks all over the rug and tile. I do not recommend this business, and I absolutely would not hire them again. There are so many phenomenal plumbers in town who provide exceptional customer service. There are so many good things to say about this crew however they have made it uncomfortable for me to hire them back after telling me how they like a pristine carpet implying my carpet was dirty and smelled like dogs. Again poo-pooing my backyard for being unswept after the winds. Side note, I have been recovering from an accident and just needed the kitchen sink working not to be made to feel bad at Christmas while dealing with not getting to see any family and in general having been dealing with a month of serious anxiety and insomnia because of the state of the world. The sink clogging was not planned and I was not prepared for "guests" apparently only dogs. They left and I was in shock by the way Alberto treated me. I had welcomed them into my home amidst my Covid Christmas and then felt so depressed wondering why they felt it was their place to say such things. The rooter man is more than just a man, he is a hero. After calling several other "24 hour" plumbers with no success, the rooter man picked up the rooter phone and sprang to action. The rooter cave was about 25 minutes away from the scene of the clog but the rootermobile got him (and his lovely wife) to the dance in no time at all. The rooter man used all the weapons he had at his disposal to fight the boss clog. Finally, after what seemed like all night (actually just about 10 minutes), the clog fell to the rooter man's special powers and the drain was flowing once again. I called to make an appointment to have a toilet that wasn't flushing looked at. Alberto was on his way home for the day, but stopped by anyways. Turns out it was calcium buildup in the drain/pipe. My toilets and shower drains in two bathrooms were backing up sewage. I called Alberto this morning and explained the situation. He was at my house with his assistant Luis within half an hour. He quickly assessed the situation and explained what he would do. He moved the toilet and snaked the main sewer line for some 65 feet and cleared the problem. They also replaced the wax toilet bowl gasket and flange and rebolted down the toilet more securely with new hardware at no extra charge. He even cleaned up the toilet and floor nicely and left me with a nice pen and notepad with his companies name. Very friendly and professional company with fair prices. These guys are the best! Very fast and professional. We have had them out several times to fix clogged drains and they have always done good work, been very nice, and cleaned up our kitchen and bathroom sinks nicer than they were before they came. We recently called them out for a hole in one of our outside pipes. Even though they usually don't do outside work, they came out, dug it up, and fixed it. Another plumber would have told us that the entire pipe needed to be replaced (which it probably does at some point), but they just fixed the problem and let us know what our options were for the future. Our laundry drain was backed up in the middle of a pandemic, so stress levels were high. Another company "tried" snaking and it didn't work so they recommended an expensive hydro jet. My home was built in 1959 and I regularly have drain problems. Alberto and his assistant were masked, professional, honest, and up-front about pricing. They cleared the line and referred me to another contractor who can diagnose my line issue and give me a quote for repair. In the past, other rooter companies have cleared the line and quote $5K+ for trenchless sewer replacement. Alberto said I may be able to just replace the line where it is offset. I called the Rooter Man because my toilet had a small leak at the base and needed someone to take a look. I left a message and he called back 10 minutes later, and he was at my door 10 minutes after that! After taking a look, he immediately knew the wax cylinder was causing the leak (it was really old!) and needed to be replaced. He replaced the wax cylinder in my other toilet because I knew it probably needed to be replaced soon (and knew it did once I saw it). When you have a plumbing / drainage issues or a "must come now emergency", you often search through a number of sites and recommendations. Then you reach out to a few by leaving messages...all the while waiting for someone to call you back. And yes, the kids can't go to the toilet, water is overflowing and...well you know. I finally call The Rooter Man, Alberto Perez for an toilet overflow issue in Dec 2020. He answered immediately and was at my home within 3 hours. He was very nice and accommodating...it was good, but always a bit guarded. Then, this week (May 13), we had a toilet back up. Without hesitation, I called Alberto, The Rooter Man, he answered and was there within an hour. He, Julian and his 2 other guys...were on the job "rooting" every drain hole in the house to figure out the problem. Decided to purchase 3 new toilets...and cut out some tree roots that his "TV monitor found to be one of the key problems. All fixed and paid....then like a headache...the back up in the new toilet came the next morning. Call Alberto at 7:15 am and his two vans and entire crew were on the job. It looked like one of those emergency room / doctor shows. Through his tv monitor again, we found a new object, a metal fragment that was stuck in a 90 degree elbow part of a feeder piper...with the tv camera, they were able, like a surgeon, unroot the issue and it flowed out. In the end, Alberto, Julian and his crew were very...very respectful of our situation, guaranteed all his work. Alberto continued to be a considerate and kind soul. I called to make an appointment to have my washing machine drain fixed. I wasn't in a hurry, we've been running a hose out the back door. But we're going to have landscape construction starting next week and it won't be convenient to run the hose outside. Alberto asked me to text him my information, (address & problem) and in less than 2 hours he appeared on my doorstep to do the job. What a surprise. I showed him where the problem was & he explained in detail what the problem was and gave me an estimate. In less than an hour my problem was fixed and I am thrilled!! What a wonderful man, very personable and knowledgeable. He said that I would eventually need the P-trap replaced but said it should be good for 6 months to a year. He guaranteed his work for 30 days. I have a new plumber and a few more plumbing issues, but they'll have to wait until the landscaping construction is done.
