The Roost is one of those super cool artsy intimate neighborhood pubs that you feel lucky to wander into. And it's not only the drink menu with its custom crafted cocktails, wines, beers & ciders that will wow you but the accompanying snacks and bites are just as divine. And bonus, it's not only a bar, but also a liquor store with an awesome selection of wines and spirits. This bar definitely has a locals vibe. It's small , dark and cozy and the small tables with velvet chairs are very welcoming. We loved it so much. We came back for a second night. We tried the Maria Rita, which was a reposado tequila with fresh lemon, lime, hibiscus, and habanero, perfect version of a margarita. We also tried blowing smoke up your glass, this was made with Papa Pilar, dark rum, pineapple, fresh lime, house made basil syrup & tiki bitters. Absolutely fabulous. We also tried their deviled eggs each topped with unique toppings like trout row, bacon, and scallions. They were absolutely fabulous. They also have a great selection of charcuterie, Key nuts which you can order with different flavor, profiles, caviar, olives & peppers. Also, the most generous happy hour I've ever heard of from 12 to 6 PM every day. Don't miss out on this little jewel when in Key West.

ChatGPT told us where we would find the best espresso martini and we did!! Jake and Paul were the best ever! Instantly felt like family! Hidden gem for sure!!!! Happy hour is a ridiculous good deal!!!! Thanks for a fun day!

The Roost was truly the highlight of my Key West trip! The only place we returned to three times. This cocktail bar would easily work in any town USA. expertly executed craft cocktails and great customer service. Thanks to Katie for whipping up some top notch libations during our stay. Cheers. ENJOY!!!

The Roost was definitely the highlight of our trip to Key West. This bar rivals any cocktail establishment in New York City! What I appreciated the most was the presence of locals, which only added to its charm. Katie, the bartender, was outstanding; she crafted the most incredible drinks while managing the bar solo, with just a little help. You could describe your drink preferences to her, and she would turn your ideas into a delicious reality! I adore Key West and have compiled a list of my favorite spots, with this cocktail bar sitting at the very top! Enjoy and save me a seat by the bar!

OMG! I loved this place! We happened upon it on a scavenger hunt in Key West. This was the true treasure. It's a local haunt and it made me want to move to Key West ASAP. Paul was very friendly and entertaining. He tried to help with our scavenger hunt too. He even tried to recruit some of the locals to help answer some of the questions. The spirits and local beers/wines that are provided is quite impressive, along with the actual ambience of the establishment. I can't wait to visit Key West again so I can go back!!

Only having a drink here I debated as to whether or not to post a review at all. The place is small. It is mostly a bar. Being part of a large group the CHARCUTERIE & CHEESE BOARD never made it to the (two?) tables in front, but that was okay. The five stars goes to the margarita which was wonderfull here. Yes, the margarita alone gives this place five stars.

Really enjoyed this intimate, dark, and chill cocktail spot. They do happy hour specials until 6 with a nice menu of specialty cocktails. The bartender was friendly as was the clientele. I will be back next time I'm in town.

Our absolute FAVORITE bar in Key West! Stopped in one night at a friends recommendation; we actually came back twice during the holiday weekend because we enjoyed it so much. The staff was beyond wonderful and the drinks just as good. They have a wide array of cocktails, wine and beer options to choose from. I also loved that they had games we could play. We partook in several games of UNO on our visits and have a new appreciation for the term "house rules"! If you're looking for a great local spot near Duval but also off the beaten path, The Roost is your place. It's small and doesn't have a ton of seating but the ambiance and vibe is worth a few bumped elbows. 10/10 recommend!

Tiki House - A Must Stop KW Vibe We stumbled into Tiki House…read moreright at opening, lured in by their "street talker" promising 2 for 1 beers and wells from 12-3 PM. Who's walking past that? Not us. Inside, it's pure island charm -- rustic tiki décor, laid back energy, and a munchie menu that's perfect for a quick bite. Football season meant TVs everywhere, plus a solo musician on stage (I don't need to hear the game to watch it; music soothes the beast). Enter Mira -- The Tiki Oracle. Bartender, manager, Key West historian, and all around gem. She switched a TV to our game without hesitation and put up with me talking her ear off like a true bartender therapist. We liked it so much we came back the next day, and the vibe was just as good -- friendly, accommodating, and exactly what you hope for in a KW spot. We even dragged the rest of our group over, and they immediately asked why we didn't start there. Tiki House is so Conch Republic vibed it just makes you feel good. I highly recommend it... even though I hate giving away a place this good.

There is a small bar with about 12 stools, a small lounge area with about 4 small seating nooks, and then a high top bench area that is along the wall. Service and set up of this place is not conducive to being able to attend to patrons. Could only order food if you were seated at the bar. We sat at the high tops and you had to go to the bar to get your drinks. Problem is that the bar has patrons sitting as well so you are hovering over them waiting for a drink. It was very uncomfortable to impose upon others to try to get a drink. I am sure they didn't appreciate the audience as they were eating as well. The bartenders were way too busy and overwhelmed. Not only are they serving the seated patrons and the 4 small nooks, they are also making drinks for the attached restaurant. There were a gazillion tickets coming out of the printer and servers standing on the other side of the window waiting. It's just not possible to serve everyone with just two bartenders. We waited about 10 minutes for service. The drinks were underwhelming for a speakeasy. Just your typical menu. What we ordered was okay. They just missed a great opportunity to create unique twists on classics or to have craft cocktails. Even the classics (which are perfect for a speakeasy) weren't that great. For a speakeasy, the drinks are the main event. Glad we tried it as we always seek out speakeasies. Wouldn't go again.

My friend and I walked in literally what I had just opened on Friday and sat by the bar. Our bartender was funny & helpful starting me with their Metallica martini, mixed with Cruzan Rum. As far as food, my fries had a nice crisp to them. The burger, served with caramelized onions and even ordering it medium (I usually order medium well , oops) was juicy and tasty especially supplemented with the bacon and the fried egg #proteinloading. My friend also approved of the chicken wings she ordered.
