My husband and I stopped here on the way from the Grand Canyon back to Vegas. This was such a fun and delicious stop! The food here is INCREDIBLE and the menu is hilarious. . My husband had the Caddie Grilled Patty with fries and I had the buffalo burger with the house-made chips. The burgers were hand-pattied and perfectly cooked to order. The house-made chips were also incredible. We sat on the saloon side, so the bartender, Ian, was our server/bar tender. Ian was absolutely amazing. This was the best customer service and food we has during our whole trip, including the pricey Vegas restaurants. Make sure you get a slice of pie to go! read more

How have I not reviewed here yet! I've been here a handful of times over the past 10 years and each time has been a fun experience. The food is very great and I love the goofy names for the dishes. The kitsch is very much alive here and it's so much fun! The staff is very friendly and personable which is always important. Solid food for a place along route 66. We didn't have the highest expectations due to the name of the place. The servers were so friendly and even though they made a mistake on my order they went above and beyond to correct it. I had the pastrami with sauerkraut on rye, served with a side of thousand island and the potato salad. It really hit the spot! Nice stop, very friendly staff, clean, and food was good. We ate a sampler plate for appetizer, those wings were delicious I could have made a meal out of them. The fried zucchini was good too. My husband ordered a T-bone steak and it was delicious. I ordered the fried chicken and I hate to report it was over cooked, I couldn't even eat the drumstick cause even the meat was tough. Stop by the Road kill Café in Seligman Arizona. What a pleasant surprise greeted at the door social distancing in a full affect. Service was decent. If you're not a fan of taxidermy this isn't the place for you. Thought it was overpriced for mediocre food. The hamburger was the best part of the meal. It had a good grilled flavor and was cooked perfectly. However, the fries had a slightly freezer burnt taste to them as did the open faced turkey sandwich we shared. read more

So yes I really have travel down route 66 but I got no kicks (thank the lawd!) instead I got some food at this place called Road Kill Cafe. Upon entering the restaurant I found it to be absolutely positively vacant with the exception of one lonely waitress staring at me with puppy dog eyes from the corner. I ordered a burger with fries which came out speedily and was delicious. The decor in this place is a bit can I say different? Gazing upon the walls I noticed the disembodied figures of wildlife and other things of nature staring at me through the glass eyes. Yes there is taxidermy here. But it is also rustic which fits in with the theme. This place reminded me of the old west except with electricity. I will definitely go back again if I ever catch myself on route 66 read more

Not only is the name and decor cute but the food is DELICIOUS!!! Big portions that even a teenage boy couldn't finish!! Haven't tasted such fresh food in so long---you kill it they grill it! Had a fantastic day here 4 of use drove in from Vegas. I'm 114 days Vegan so I wasn't sure if I would just be eating fries and salad. To my surprise they had a veggie burger on the menu the taste was excellent.. I believe it was called grass and seeds. Stopped in on a whim for lunch and to stretch our legs for a bit. What a surprise! Wait staff are friendly and very welcoming. Husband ordered BLT and it was loaded with good quality bacon, that's pretty rare these days. I had Toad Off the Road Kill or an elk burger, cooked to perfection. Food was hot when delivered to table. Only complaint I have was the hot house tomato. I highly recommend if you're in the area stop in. read more

Stopped by for dinner on our trip from Louisiana to California. It's a must stop! Little pricey but worth every penny. Husband had Ribeye and clam chowder, daughter had trout, I had full rack of ribs and potato. Oh yeah, fresh loafs of bread too. I'm not a huge rib fan but the server suggested it, she was right they were Amazing. I recommend sitting in the bar for the full experience. Parking is tight but you can park your RV across the street like we did. Souvenirs are pretty cool too. read more

On my cross country drive, I stoped and stayed at the hotel next door. If you stay at hotel they said if you show your receipt at Roadkill you get a discount, so I went for dinner. I got the 16oz ribeye, it was good and service was very good, glad I went. read more

Stopped off on our way back to vegas from the Grand Canyon, real easy to find. Keep an eye out for all the stuff from "cars" movie on the way. Staff was helpful and super friendly. Place was full when we got in, waited a few mins for seating and had our drinks order taken straight away. Food came out and looked great, tasted great too. My daughter and i shared a starter 'road kill platter' and my husband had the buffalo burger. Kinda wish i had been hungrier though, really wasted to try one of their deserts. We always hit this place on our way out of the Grand Canyon heading west. Plenty of breakfast choices and good prices with big portions. Real good Bloody Mary and Denver omelette. The stuffed animals around the bar will keep you busy for a few minutes checking everything out. Looks like something out of a movie. read more

I was driving my friend's little car when I asked her if we should get gas. I think I scared her a bit when I raced over to some random exit. What can I say? You can't take the LA driver out of me even on "look over your shoulder for small town cops hungry to ticket foolish city girls like me" road trips. While fueling up, we saw the Road Kill Cafe across the way and decided to get lunch. Our server was the nicest guy ever, offering my friend little taste of the cole slaw so she could decide what she wanted as a side. We eventually ended up ordering a plate of fries too and they were so good. I saw potatoes going into a thing-a-ma-bob and deep fried to perfect crispy fries. Of course, you suffered a bit of smoke inhalation if you happened to go near the grill on your way to the restroom. Our waiter didn't like cole slaw but said he actually enjoyed KFC cole slaw. I should have realized then Road Kill Cafe's slaw would not be up to standards because I didn't like their slaw and could tolerate KFC slaw (only with home made pulled pork sammies, mind you). Thank goodness we got the fries! Prices weren't really cheap. Not what I expected in the middle of nowhere, off Route 66. So, I ended up ordering the patty melt. I'm not a fan of rye bread but I love patty melts. I probably could have subbed in sourdough but the greasy (in a good way) flavor over took the sourness of the rye bread. And the patties-- yes, two patties for the patty melt were SEASONED. Hot damn, this was a good patty melt! I ate it all up even though I probably shouldn't have for cholesterol's sake. Looking back though, I'm glad I did because it was the second best meal of my trip. Who knew? A little road side cafe with an endearing waiter, kooky dead animals decor, seedy bar and best fries I've had this year. Oh yeah, the restroom is clean. And they sell lots of tacky Route 66 stuff and offer a pressed penny machine. As someone who collects souvenir smashed pennies, I was delighted to press a few before hitting the road.
