I don't know how this place stays open given its location, but I'm really glad it is open, and I hope it stays that way--if you're going past, to the Grand Canyon or wherever, stop off here! I really can't say enough good things about it; I'd give it 6 stars if I could, and I rarely or never say that in a review, especially on a first visit. Reasonable prices for excellent Indian food. They have a full range of the usual appetizers (samosas, various pakora, etc.), curries and sauce dishes (tikka masala, butter chicken, curries, etc.), and biryani, with beverage options like lassi and a good selection of soft drinks. There's a whole page of veggie options. The butter chicken was very nicely seasoned. There's paneer pakora was delicious and went well with both sauces; even the little pita chip squares it was served on seemed freshly cooked and were unusually good. They have many types of naan, even more than on the menu; I'd never had chili naan before but it was delicious. The server was great, I asked for recommendations and got good ones. There's obviously plenty of parking. The space inside is great: simples, clean, rustic-looking wooden tables and chairs, and windows all around that are about 10 feet high so there's lots of natural light.

This was a surprise during our road trip to Grand Canyon. A lovely small restaurant with great Indian food!

So this is place has only been open about a month. They're working on expanding their menu, and waiting on alcohol permits to open the bar, although they do have beer and wine. I've only had Indian food a handful of times, in different states, so I have a relatively virgin palette when it comes to Punjabi. They didn't have a good selection of soft drinks, and I didn't think they had a soda fountain (just cans) but towards the end of my meal, I noticed another gentleman with what looked like a fountain soda, although it could've been tea. So I just had water. The place is new, so remarkably clean. A mixture of wild West mixed with some Punjabi decorum. The lights look cool, but we're turned off since it was in the middle of the day. Now, I wasn't in any hurry whatsoever, but I was the first and only customer to come in, with 3 other parties after I had been there for a little while. I was also the last of the 3 to leave. I *think* they forgot my order at some point, because the waiter had to come back and ask me what I ordered after about 20 or 30 minutes. I ordered Samosa for an appetizer, Spicy Lamb Vandaloo and Garlic Naan. My Samosa came out pretty quickly after I ordered. It was super hot, and super good. Both sauces as well. After about 15 minutes of finishing, that's when the waiter asked what I had ordered. I'm in no hurry, but maybe for others that are, the wait is a bit long, but the food quality is worth it. About 1/2 thru my meal, my Naan came out. Everything was better than average. The lamb wasn't spicy at all, at least to me, the Naan was ok. My waiter and the other owner guy were super nice. A solid 3.6 stars for this place. I'm eager to see what It manifests into in the coming months.

We also had the samosas, which tasted homemade and were equally delicious. FABULOUS! We were visiting Williams on vacation and, as we usually do, searched for a local spot on Yelp. When we arrived, we were a bit unsure at first, as the exterior and signage were unexpected, but we decided to go in and are so glad we did for the food alone. Inside, there was a large dining area with plenty of seating. It seemed like there may have been a different service style than what we are used to, as we were not greeted right away and ended up seating ourselves, getting our own cups and silverware, and flagging someone down to place our order. We weren't quite sure how the process worked, which made the experience feel a little awkward and unclear. That said, the food truly stood out and made a lasting impression. We shared our appreciation when we paid and left very grateful. With a bit more clarity around the service experience, this place would be an absolute standout. Our compliments to the chef, truly outstanding food preparation.

Stopped through this little town on our way out of Grand Canyon. Having eaten a lot of American and Mexican food in the past few days, Indian seemed like a welcome change. The reviews were very good but I was skeptical about the authenticity of an Indian restaurant in a small town like this. This place is legit! We had a Veggie Samosa, Chicken Curry, and Aloo Gobi. All had excellent flavors and nice spice level. The chicken was tender and the sauces were so delicious that we scraped up every last bit to eat with the basmati rice. Will definitely be back next time we're in town!

Here's my thoughts for today's visit. There is salt and pepper on the table! First time I found salt lacking and was happy to see it accessible on the table. The Indian coffee is bomb...and while Sugar in the Raw isn't available, there was honey today which was a nice touch and way better than refined sugar! Last time I was here I ordered the standard tikka masala, which I LOVE, but I noticed there was much less chicken than the first time I visited, and the prices had gone up. So, this time I opted for the Veg Korma, which I get every time, and the Dahl (lentils). The korma is lovely with chunks of potato, cauliflower, peas and carrots (feel like they are frozen, but good nonetheless). The sauce was spiced at spicy and was perfect. The Dahl was nicely spiced and just a really good vegetarian meal, not too heavy and plenty of leftovers. The butter naan was adequate. It was much denser than last visit and honestly lacked some flavor, but the garlic naan I've had before wasn't much different so I opted for the lower price point. All in all, it's hard to complain. The family does a really good job ensuring patrons are satisfied, which is key. The prices have increased about 25-30% since they opened and I feel like the portions shrank a tad, but considering I'm one person and I always order two entrees, I always have left overs. I'll state it again....great option if you're coming through Camp Verde/260. Something besides Mexican, lol. The family is lovely and I am a huge proponent for supporting small, local businesses!

It was the only authentic Indian restaurant in town open that provided an exotic escape from the usual turkey and stuffing routine. This is not my 1st time ordering tikka masala. Traveling on vacation, we were pretty excited to see an Indian joint 5 minutes away from the property we were staying at. To their credit, checkout was convenient and the food was ready quickly. The takeout had no napkins, nothing to eat it with, and it came in two containers. It's not convenient in that regard. This tikka masala was perhaps the saltiest dish I've had in years. My wife took one bite and was finished. The chicken was cooked alright and the portion size was reasonable. We just couldn't eat it. If there was someone who really loved this restaurant and wanted me to try a specific dish or two sitting down in the restaurant, I'd go with them. But I certainly wouldn't order takeout again.

There was also a noticeable lack of attentiveness at pickup from the waitress, which is concerning for a restaurant charging premium prices and this is a complete oversight, especially for takeout and delivery, which should be treated with the same respect as dine-in. I experienced both, and neither met the mark. For a $50 plus order customers expect fresh food, proper execution. This fell short, especially given the limited non-fast food options in the area. The restaurant itself has a lot of character, it full of textures and colors, had a cute little fountain outside. It just feels homey and welcoming. The menu...is hella pricey for a tamale. I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.
