THE best pies you will ever have in your life. Period. I wasn't expecting to be blown away but I was. Tried the lilikoi cheesecake, blueberry pina colada and lime. Ate them all in one sitting. We will be back for the rest they have for sale. Incredible!!!! read more

Passed by this tiny place on way back from Waimea and had to turnaround. Looking at the Yelp reviews, I knew what to get. Now I just ate a lilikoi chiffon pie at Aunty Lilikoi but this a pie so entirely different. It was end it the day but they had several who pies in the case. I got mango lilikoi pie and Lilikoi cheesecake . I ate them in car so make sure to get a fork or eat it with your hand would work too. The mango lilikoi pie had real mango but could not taste lilikoi so it was a good mango pie. The crust was flaky and buttery. I kinda wish for more pie crust. Now, the Lilikoi cheesecake was divine. Perfect texture with a hint of tang. I cannot really tell the lilikoi since there is not any bits but it was creamy. The grapham cracker crust was homemade tasting. I would like to try other flavors but not sure if I will make it back. But I highly recommend this pie shop. I would call this place my Leoda pie version (Maui). read more

Recommend to stop by if you are coming back from Waimea Canyon or Salt Pond beach (opens at 11AM on weekdays and 10AM on the weekend). My favorite was the lilikoi cheesecake. We also tried the Macadamia Nut pie and the Island Lime pie. All the fillings are on the sweet side, but great to share as dessert. read more

The best discoveries happen when you're traveling in Kauai with your family, spot a pie shop on the highway and everyone shouts "bakery---pie--stop!" So we stopped and had a delightful breakfast snack of 4 different pie slices: coconut cream, blueberry pina colada, Lilikoi cheesecake, and mango Lilikoi. There's have a great selection of pies, either by the slice or as a whole pie to buy. Wow, everyone loved their choices, and because we did try a bite of each other's selection, the family favorite was the Lilikoi cheesecake! They also have a savory pie menu of frozen pies to take home and bake! Service from the gal was friendly and nice. And the shop is cute and there are lots of extra trinkety Kauai things to look at. We'll try to make it over one more time before we leave and try other flavors of pie...or I'll pick the Lilikoi cheesecake for myself next time. We love supporting local small businesses and The Right Slice has a delicious product for dessert lovers. It truly is a great stop for anyone with a sweet tooth or craving for pie to try! read more

This is my favorite pie place on the planet. They are located in Kalaheo and a great place to stop for a snack. They truly have the best pies you can eat. The Lilikoi cheese cake, Mango Lilikoi and Macadamia Nut is to die for. I also bought the Swiss cheese and bacon quiche for breakfast and was very happy with my purchase. This is a cute little shop and they sell other stuff aside from pies. Service is excellent and the staff has great recommendations. If you know what you want, call ahead and they will have your ready when you arrive. Support local! read more

Shout out The Right Slice, you da real MVP! Drove by earlier in the day hoping to try it later, and tsunami warning landed me back in the area. The owner was awesome to stay open well past their normal operating hours and served those in the area. Not to mention the pot pies are amazing! She served them with a smile despite what is undoubtedly a long day for her. Will be coming back when I'm on the island! Support her: pies are amazing and she has an amazing heart! read more

We paid $24 for three tiny slices, and it wasn't worth it. The service was not welcoming. There are plenty of wonderful places around the island to spend your money. Won't go there again. read more

Omg! If you like pie! Both sweet and savory. They do take and bake or will bake for you. So have dessert pie while They bake you shepherds pie! There are over 50 flavors and different one by the slide per day. Locally made with great service and fun little gift shop too. Dessert first! read more

You'll be rewarded for stopping at this quaint dessert shop between Waimea and Koloa. My mission today was to find the best lilikoi pie in the area. Their offering was a lilikoi cheesecake that was supreme. And to cut the bright acid of that pie I also caved into my passion for chocolate with a chocolate coconut pie. First off, the crust was hand made. This telltale sign lets you know you're getting something artisanal. If you can't tell a machine made crust versus handmade, I'm sorry because the flakiness and texture are worlds apart. The cheesecake was shockingly great. Not good. Great. From the texture to the flavor, this pie ranked top of the day. It was sweet without being cloyingly so and the balance of lilikoi was spot if for my taste buds! The biggest downfall was not getting enough and sharing it with my crew. Our chocolate coconut pie was the perfect counterpoint to the cheesecake. The chocolate filling was rich and creamy while the coconut added the island texture. The crust was a work of art in holding the filling while golden and crisp. Par baking done right! Cannot wait to try their savory options later this week. read more

I'm just sorry I couldnt try any of their savory pies, poor planning on my part! Not too expensive for a specialty pie shop, and good flavor all around. I'm going 5 star for the island, though if I were judging globally I might drop it a star for size and depth of flavor for the specific ones I got. I loved them and would go back (maybe less for the mango one) but they didn't knock me over. Still, after being on the island for a week and eating lots of foods and sweets all over, this did stand out as special. read more

We loved stopping here for a slice of dessert. The have amazing flavors of pie, and you can get both slices or whole pies. We loved the lilikoi cheesecake in particular! It's island prices so not surprising. Note that if you would like one of their savory pies heated, it is best to call in advance or plan on waiting a bit. read more

THE RIGHT SLICE was our refuge in the storm last night. We decided to see if we could find gas about 11pm. No luck. We DID find that The Right Slice stayed open all night. (Normal hours they close at 6pm.) We drove by and saw their double doors open. Everywhere else was locked up tight. We parked up front. Walked in and the crazy night was calmed. Sandy had a huge smile and offered to cook up some pot pies of our choice. 40 minutes later and a lot of laughing and listening to a scratchy radio for updates we enjoyed our feast. We left full of yummy pot pies and grateful hearts. The Right Slice we are soooooo grateful for you. If you are ever on Kauai, please stop by and grab some pie! (Of course they have sweet pies too). read more

Coming here for dessert is a must! Their pies are so unique and also so yummy. My favorite is the coconut cream pie. My parents who do not even like coconut enjoyed this pie so much! We all agree that we would get this pie again. They make their pies fresh every day. The lady who helped us was very sweet and kind. She was very patient with us and thoughtful. There were no singular slices left since it was the end of the day. So we bought a whole pie. She cut it up for us and gave us to go forks and plates and went above and beyond. read more

Super yummy pies with a bunch of delicious options to choose from like mango lilikoi, blueberry pina colada and chocolate coconut macaroon. you can but the whole pie or by the slice. The mango lilikoi one I tried was loaded with huge pieces of mango and the pie crust was perfectly buttery, flaky and sweet. Individual slices are 7.50 and are fairly average sized. There are a few tables in the store to eat at. My one complaint is they don't offer to heat it up for you so they're served room temperature and I prefer mine heated up. It's right off the main road with a small parking lot but does make it a bit of a pain to back out on the main road. read more

The service, cleanliness, and pie options. The lilikoi cheesecake and mango pie were recommended. On a whim we also ordered the apple caramel pie. Had their macadamia nut pie. It was really good. I knew that id like it if I normally like pecan. Also, I ordered their Thai tea boba. Drink was ok, on the sweeter side. The Boba tapioca balls were ROCK hard. So I'd pass on that if that's a normal thing for this location. read more

Although the filling was OK, the CRUST was the worst we've ever had! They advertised baked fresh, but the crust was so hard we actually cut into the aluminum pie plate trying to cut each slice! Crust should be moist and flaky! (Note: We had purchased 3 pies and due to logistics/illness there was no way we could return them. Although we emailed our receipt and asked for a partial refund, we were refused.) Just posting so others are aware of the crust! read more

This places has the right slice alright! You want sweet the got you, want savory they got you, want quiche? Guess what they got you!!! They also carry some souvenirs, they do boba drinks! You can take and bake, OR YOU CALL AN HOUR AHEAD AND THEY WILL DO IT FOR YOU!!! Ohhhh they also do coffee cake which is a new item for them and I was asked to give my honest opinion! The coffee cake is very tasty but on the dry side which is fine for some as the have morning coffee with it. And that layer of cinnamon goodness maybe make just a little more cinnamony lol, but great job keep up the great grinds! read more

Stopped by here during my last visit to Kauai in December...let me start off by saying, I love how many options of savory pies that The Right Slice offers. I would consider myself a connoisseur of savory pies and I'm always disappointed how few options almost places have--it's either a chicken pot pie, or a shepherd's pie, which, don't get me wrong, I love me a tasty chicken pot pie or a shepherd's pie but variety is the spice of life! Is it not? If you're planning on dining in, just keep a heads up that the pies are fresh to order so they need to go in the oven for 30 minutes. No problem: you're on island time! Sit back and order a slice of a sweet pie while you wait--like I did. I ordered a slice of the Macadamia nut pie while I waited for my dad's savory pie to come out of the oven. I totally regret not trying the Nopalitos and Beef pot pie because I love eating Nopales (Cactus, if you're unfamiliar with Nopales there are many tasty recipes that have them) and putting them in a pot-pie sounds exquisite. The Macadamia nut pie was delicious, it had a similar consistency to Pecan pie but was nowhere near as sweet, which I loved because I'm watching my sugar intake. I'm still thinking about a piece of "The Right Slice's" Macadamia nut pie, as I drink my coffee in bed, back home in California. read more

Still love this place, but kinda bummed they ran out of the chocolate coconut macaroon pie slices. They had whole pies available for sale, but wouldn't cut them out to sell by the slice. My sister was bugging to come get pie here. We had just gotten to the house and my sister asked what's for dinner? I looked at her and said beer. Not the answer she wanted. So she said let's get the Right Slice. And I said no, I want the whole pie. She said, great, they have personal pies! So I was sold to try the Right Slice. The Right Slice is along Kaumualii Highway in Kalaheo. Parking is a little tight, so don't go speeding too quickly or you'll pass it and have to do a turn around further down the street. Because we were walk-ins, we had to get what they had on hand. So if you want something in particular, call ahead of time to pre-order. I called ahead to see if they had anything left since it was close to closing time for them. But we were fine with what we got. We got the smaller sized pies, which was fine so that we could try a variety. We got the chicken pot pie, a vegetarian pot pie, a blueberry ginger pie, and a seafood pot pie. There were cut outs on the pie so we could identify them. See my pic. The pies weren't cooked, so we got back to the house and turned the oven on. 375 and 45 minutes later, we were ready to try them all. The crusts were delicious and the inside of each pie were great! I honestly did not have a favorite. The blueberry ginger pie was our dessert and it went well with vanilla ice cream! I'm looking forward to having more pie and not just one slice! read more

I'll admit I did not realize the price of the sweet baby pies was $29 + tax so... what a sticker shock when I went to pay! However!! It was so worth it for the macadamia nut pie! We all loved it including my in-laws. Chewy, gooey and nutty! Not overly sweet. I also ordered slices of blueberry pina colada, island lime and the chocolate coconut macaroon pie. Slices are roughly $7.25 + tax? I forgot already after the sticker shock of the whole pies. The blueberry pina colada is sweet, but jam packed full of blueberries with a hint of the pina colada. Definitely would satisfy your sweet tooth. Chocolate coconut macaroon tasted exactly as you would expect. So much chocolate and coconut in a chewy gooey texture. Yum! My BIL had the island lime pie slice himself and said it was delicious - so delicious he forgot to share lol So yes, while they are pricey, it was worth every bite! read more
