Keiki sized shave ice - passion fruit and blue Hawaiian
    Cristina F.

They have dole whip...need I say more? I am a native Californian who grew up going to Disneyland and enjoy pineapple dole whip with a deep nostalgia, so I was so happy to learn that they have it at Mango's! I got a Keiki size but they really swirled it up high in the cup which made it enough to share with my fiancé..who said he didn't want his own but helped eat mine lol Service is fast. I went twice while visiting Kauai and the first employee was a little more friendly than the second, she took the time to explain their special promotion and helped me pick out the best shave ice flavors. The shave ice is also good, a little more sweet and syrupy than I'd prefer, but I'm happy that they don't skimp with the syrups like some places. The shave ice is chunky but still easy to scoop with a spoon. They sell more products inside their store, including granola/granola bars, Hawaiian coconut syrup, and plush toys. They also have a variety of pastries available, including chocolate cake, which was sadly a little dry the day we got some (maybe it was just sitting in the display too long?) There is plenty of patio seating outside. Free parking available in the parking lot for the shopping center. Mango's is located in a great shopping center that also has restaurants, cafes, bakeries, juice bar, and grocery store. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

Fast and friendly service. I couldn't decide between mango and pineapple so she made me a mix of both--yummy and refreshing. Can't ask for more on a hot Koala day.

My husband and I stopped in here for a sweet treat. I got the haupia (coconut) ice cream and my husband got a pineapple dole whip. After we ordered, the girl recommended we try combining the ice cream and doll whip. I had a bite with both and it was the perfect tropical, Pina-colada-esque treat. I was so happy the girl working recommended it. The store was really cute with some souvenirs for sale. They also had Diet Coke available which was great. I loved the little umbrella that came with the dole whip!

They have lots of ice cream flavors, and the ones I test tasted were all good. I ended up getting a scoop of the cappuccino chip and the Hawaiian mud pie. Both were really good. I love the Hawaiian mud pie more because it has brownie chunks. Yum!

Wow! They have lots to choose from here. The shave ice was delicious. I do wish it had come in a cup with a better lip bc mine went everywhere! But good anyways.

So refreshing Shaved ice served in an overflowing cup. Perfect after a long day of hiking. Found their mango and passion fruit flavors to be super refreshing. Added a small scoop of ice cream, which provided a richer finish

Craving something sweet after our meal and Mango's was in the same shopping plaza. It was a little busy inside but the line went by pretty quick. They have different flavors of dole whip and even come in swirled flavors too. We ordered a pineapple dole whip and a shave ice with strawberry and watermelon. The store also sells snacks and toys. There are a couple tables inside and outside as well. We ordered the keiki sizes which were still a good size. Nothing fancy about the dole whip or shave ice but it definitely satisfied our sweet craving.

Their pineapple dole whip was suburb! Adorable shop with lots of options and great service. Cute little chairs inside and out to eat your sweet treat. Being a germ-a-phon, I loved that their staff wore gloves and kept the place pristine!

My wife and I had just finished dinner in the Koloa area and were craving something sweet when we came across Mango's. It's in a really cute shopping center with plenty of restaurants and little shops around it. The whole area has a fun, welcoming vibe, and Mango's fits right in. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly, upbeat staff. They offered free samples, which made it even more fun to try different flavors. I asked which flavor was the most popular, and they said mud pie. I went with that, and it was fantastic. Creamy, rich, and so fresh. My wife chose guava, lychee, and pineapple, and she loved every scoop. We grabbed a small table in the corner and just enjoyed the moment. It was the perfect way to end the evening. The shop is cute, the service is great, and the ice cream is delicious. We'd absolutely come back and recommend Mango's to anyone in the area looking for a sweet treat.

GO TO MANGOS!! BEST DOLE WHIP! Cute little shop in a convenient area! The workers were very nice and made our family's dole whip very fast. The dole whip was AMAZING! We ate all of it and left nothing in our bowls. The one small issue I had was the prices, 7 bucks for a tiny cup. BUT, they make up for it by putting a generously large amount in the bowl. If you are looking for a quick refreshing stop for dole whip, shave ice, or ice cream, Go to Mangos!

    I want the PURPLE one!!!!

When life gives you Lemons.... C'mon let's hear it, I KNOW you KNOW it! On 3, 2, 1... MAKE LEMONADE!!!!! Nice, I knew you knew it. Now let's try this one! When life gives you limes.... Go to Costco... Pick up some good Tequila, some Cointreau, and... MAKE MARGARITAS!!!!!! Give yourself a high five if you are two for two. Ok, I've got one more for you, let's see if you can get three for three. When life gives you Mango's.... Make Mango Margari..... Nice Try, but not what I was looking for! Although, that does sounds really, really good right now, especially in this heat we've been having. The answer, despite me now really wanting a Mango Margarita is actually Ice Cream & Shaved Ice! So without further ado... Welcome to Mango's Ice Cream & Shave Ice In Koloa, Kaua'i Here's how it went D O W N It was a Wednesday, in July, and we had just finished eating dinner at Koloa Thai Bistro (check out my review of KBT if you Love Thai/Sushi/Hibachi). And even though we had Mango Sticky Rice for our dessert at dinner, there is ALWAYS room for: ICE CREAM & SHAVED ICE Especially when you're a kid! So as we were walking toward our car at the end of the night, my daughters gave me their best pouty lips, puppy dog eyes and said, "Daddy, can we please get shaved ice, pretty pleaseeee?" I can resist the pouty lips, the pretty pleaseeee's, but the puppy dog eyes?? Who can resist those??? So off we went to get some Hawaiian Shaved Ice at almost 9 p.m. Hey, we were on vacation; there's no such thing as "bed time" on vacation, right? So... 1 Tigers Blood & Blue Raspberry for our oldest... 1 Rainbow for our Middle... And of course 3 extra spoons for my wife, our youngest and myself so we could get a little sample of each! Let's just say, besides our middle daughter spilling hers halfway through eating it... The Rainbow, what I tasted of it, was Delicious! The staff is friendly, the place is clean and organized and of course we enjoyed our late night treat. Ice Cream, Dole Whip, Açaí bowls, Cold Brew, Iced Tea, Candy, Toys, small gifts are also available. Basically.... Mango's has it all!! Wait, do you think they sell Mango Margarita's? Lol ;)

Mango's was great. If you like sweats they are the treat for you. The shave ice was delicious with a bottom layer of sweet ice cream. You can't go wrong.

    Passion fruit shave ice.
    Hanna S.

The three stars are for the ice cream, which is perfectly good with a wide selection of flavors, and the patient server working the counter alone. The shave ice is kool-aid trash. Don't waste your time or calories on it unless you're 8 or younger. There are much better places on the island that make their own syrups with real fruit, like Waikomo and Wailua. Go there.

Our favorite shaved iced place of the 4 we tried in Kauai. We can't wait to come back on future vacations.

We picked up a whole Island Lemon Pie to take with us (forgot to get a photo). I got myself a slice of the Macadamia Nut Pie to go, which was delicious, especially with vanilla bean ice cream. Everything we've tried here has been consistently good and we've never had a bad experience. If you're planning a visit, try to get there early since popular flavors can sell out. Definitely worth a stop!

In town for the day simply to show me an investment property my family and I might be interested in the very near future, before she departed she had to pick up an order of pies to bring back to her family. Of course, I came along for the ride because I liked pie, but I was curious how good they were if she was willing to fly several of them in her carry-on. Founded by Sandy in October 2009, she quickly adjusted her business model from doing six community events a week to her first retail location in Lihue in 2011. The business continued to grow that led to a second location this time in Kalaheo in 2014. Fast-forward to today, the Kalaheo store is the only one standing, and she has cultivated a strong following both near and far of pie fans and the continued support of the local community. Did I choose the right slice for my first time here!? PURCHASE(S) Mango Lilikoi Pie Slice ($8.50): Their most popular pie, they had me at mango! Filled with plump juicy mangoes combined with the just right amount of lilikoi (passionfruit) and topped with a sugar crust. Juicy sweetness burst in every bite, and I was in pure heaven! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=-IUMWv6HB5wpv9AiQ-Y_bg Macadamia Nut Pie Slice ($8.50): This time, they had me at macadamia! Made with a ton of island macadamia nuts, roasted to a perfect golden brown combined with butter, eggs, sugar, and fresh spices for a nutty tropical sensation, this pie reminded me of a pecan pie but so much better! It was heavy, thick, and required a cold glass of milk to perfectly pair it with. I went nuts for this pie! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=JfthjT1sMLgeXqbfMPGzhA To-Go Containers ($0.50 x2): For my dessert, I've never been charged this before, but I understood businesses needed to cut/pass along costs as much as possible - c'est la vie. Credit Card Surcharge 3.00% ($0.57): Another pass-along fee that has become more prevalent - oh well. SERVICE I was warmly greeted by a young woman behind the counter who gave me time to review the menu while she offered recommendations. Once I ordered, my items were quickly packed and ready to go - mahalo! PARKING (FREE): We were lucky to grab one of the five small spots in front of their shop (it was very difficult to back out due to the heavily-trafficked thoroughfare). Otherwise, I wasn't sure where else you could park nearby - be prepared. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A country shop-like and ice-cream parlor feel with a couple of wooden tables, pie display https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=5gAkOcUYZ1pbgpC8UZq5xg cases, a pie menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=vSyaGOufl1cmq9OBOppvPw hung from the ceiling behind the counter, counters and shelves with merchandise, and an open entry way that welcomed you https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=jSiOeD6ISWVAot4Qkz2e1A in for a treat. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front doors and windows while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs, while pop music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=53zRcRMKuNaS23ufwnBORw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL The Right Slice offered magical pies both savory and sweet (I must return to try a savory one!) all made from scratch and with a ton of love. The care and pride was tasted in each incredible bite, and I wished I had one to bring back with me after I ate each slice back at the resort. Everything tasted phenomenal, the prices may've been a tad high (but well worth it!), and the service was calming and straightforward. Plus, I always loved to try and support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $19.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
