We hit a minimum of one shave ice every day (sometimes 2 or 3!) in Hawaii and this trip to Kauai all 7 of us agreed this was the best we found. The Ube flavor was so creamy and delicious. The stand is small and they are made one at a time, but that's ok. It's a small truck in a parking lot, and that's ok. It feels like a homemade specialty treat. I wish we could have gotten another, but we are back on the mainland read more

The Good Stuff Shave Ice - Ube is the best! So creamy and flavorful - Shaved Ice Near Me - Koloa, Hawaii

Step away from Jojo's and come here! You won't regret it. Absolutely delicious, with fresh fruit syrups you can see some pulp in. The owner makes them fresh every morning. No dyes so you can see the natural color. Best shave ice on the island, by far! read more

The Good Stuff Shave Ice - Pineapple shave ice with vanilla ice cream. So good!! - Shaved Ice Near Me - Koloa, Hawaii

The Good Stuff Shave Ice is a highly-rated, local favorite in Kauai, Hawaii. Known for its 100% all-natural, vegan, and Chamoy-inspired creations. This hidden gem is conveniently located on the South Shore in the heart of Poipu. The vibe is chill and relaxed. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The food truck itself has a cult like following that often sells out of popular flavors by mid afternoon (it's best to get there early). Popular flavors include mango, strawberry, and passion fruit (my fav). Their shaved ice is fluffy and airy, with a snow-like texture, vibrant fruit flavors, and delicious toppings Their syrups are handcrafted from real fruit rather than artificial dyes. By far one of the best shaved ice shops on the island! Hands down! read more

Stopped in for an afternoon treat and we were not disappointed. This is a small truck parked in front of a grocery store, was hard to find at first but we are glad we turned around and went back to find it. Shave ice tasted great. We got 2 with macadamia nut ice cream in the middle and one without. Was great they could accommodate a dairy allergy. We even asked for a plain bowl on shave ice for the dog we were with for the day and it was accommodated without any hesitation. Definitely give The Good Stiff Shave Ice a try if you're in the Poipu area. read more

Stopped here on our way out of the grocery store. Very unassuming little truck, but the best shave ice in Poipu!!!! My son got the lilkoi, coconut, and pineapple--it was incredible. All extremely fresh (not artificial) and the texture was to die for. We already can't wait to go back!!! Don't be fooled by the big name places--come here and you won't be disappointed! read more

Loved the vibe and branding here and be sure to get here early -ish as they ran out of two of the snowcones we wanted to try. That's okay! We tried something else and it was also delicious. I love that they are made with fresh fruit too. Service was kind as well, they looked very organized. read more

Meh. Can tell the syrups r fresh fruit but they didn't have a lot of the syrups only 5. The cucumber lime was bad, ruined every other flavor. Taro was the best. Strawberry and pineapple were lacking. A very diluted flavor. Personally wouldn't recommend. read more

Food (5/5 stars): The Good Stuff Shave Ice in Koloa replaced my favorite shave ice spot but just became my new favorite! They have multiple creations to choose from. They sadly ran out of my first choice but my second choice, the Mango Lava, was just as appealing. It had mango syrup with fresh chunks of mango, Tajín, and chamoy. It was the perfect combination of flavors and the ice was silky smooth. I'd never had a shave ice like this and can't wait to try their other creations! Experience (5/5 stars): * Price: reasonable and worth * Wait Time: minimum on a summer weekday * Service: very good * Parking: there's a parking lot * Ambiance: it's a food truck! read more

The Good Stuff Shave Ice - Shaved Ice Near Me - Koloa, Hawaii

Shaved ice places are in every nook and cranny in this paradise, so to stand out as the best in my humble opinion says something. We love this place, and it's one of our first stops every time we visit Kauai. Their flavours are absolutely delicious and they don't skimp on juices that take you all the way to the very last slurp . P.S. Don't forget to add some of their macadamia nut ice team at the bottom of the shaved ice to give your taste buds an extra little kick at the end!!! read more

Super delicious shaved ice in Poipu Beach!! Got the shaved ice with three flavors: mango, strawberry, and passion fruit. The girl that works there also added some chopped pineapple and honey on the top at no extra charge. Super yummy. This place is a hidden gem. Located next to the Kukuiula Local Market near the roundabout traffic circle. Highly recommend. read more

Came here 2 years ago and was so impressed! We loved it so much we came back twice. Amazing, unique flavor combinations, but this year when we came she only had 4 flavors, was out of ice cream, no more fancy menu. It was mostly ice with minimal flavor. Very disappointed which was so sad bc prior to this year's visit I would've given 5 stars. read more

The Good Stuff Shave Ice - Rainbow - Shaved Ice Near Me - Koloa, Hawaii

It was Friday, December 5th, the day my life changed. I was driving through Poipu when a mysterious tropical breeze whispered, "Ube..." and that's when I saw it: The Good Stuff shave ice... as I approached, a rooster bowed respectfully as if he knew what I was about to experience. I ordered the Ube shave ice with condensed milk drizzle on top. One bite in and I momentarily forgot my name and all of my responsibilities.. as it hit my taste buds, I saw a new color never seen before. It was a frozen miracle. The condensed milk drizzle? I blacked out for a second from happiness. Pretty sure I ascended to a higher dimension, and was cradled by the Ube gods themselves. When I came to, my bowl was empty, joyful tears of Ube and condensed milk ran down my face. I would never be the same. It was the Beyoncé of desserts. The one your future therapist asks about when they're trying to understand the turning point in your life. The owner? A ray of sunshine in human form. I'm convinced she made a pact with dessert deities because there's no other explanation for why this stuff tastes like hope, joy, and early tax returns. If you're in Poipu, you must go there. And please, try the Ube. Trust me. read more
