It's been years but we are right next door and The Restaurant has the greatest breakfast. Prices are super reasonable. Highly, recommend.

I usually don't have anything negative to say but today must be an off day. Ordered my typical gyro and all the sauce was on one half and none on the other half. The lettuce was brown and wilted. No coleslaw and pickle but jelly. Was told the bag was prepared from breakfast which doesn't have anything to do with my gyro. I hope my next experience will be better. read more

American Cuisine. Everything you need and close to home. This local place is filled with great service, wonderful food that is reasonably priced. Anything you want to eat, you can find on the menu. The quality is declining. Definitely not getting what you're paying for. I spent $46 on 2 breakfast platters. One platter came with literally 10 fries. Bread ends for toast instead of actual slices. Maybe I ordered too close to closing but that shouldn't matter. I'm passing the same price. I requested 2 Different cheeses in the omelette, got 1 but charged me for 2. I requested additional eggs. Received the regular small portion but was charged for the extra. Too many upsets and not worth the money. This is my last time ordering from the. Disappointing because this was my weekend breakfast spot for years. read more

This is the one place in Rockaway that never messes up our order. The Restaurant offers an impressive variety and while it's mainly standard diner fare it never fails to satisfy. Plus, the prices are fair and the delivery drivers always go the extra mile and bring our food to the door of my third story walk-up -- most other places just ring the bell downstairs and wait, which is totally cool since who wants to schlep up three flights of stairs but the extra effort is always appreciated. My faves here are the home made rice pudding, the tuna and potato salad plate, and pretty much any kind of waffle or desert they offer. read more

Note of advice: Go to Key Food next door and buy your own groceries to cook at home! The food is absolutely disgusting. I had a simple breakfast consisting of waffle, scrambled eggs with cheese, turkey bacon, and sausage. It was simply disgusting! Very upset I wastes my money. First off let me say, I love this place, I've been going to the Restaurant since I was a kid, my parents loved coming here as well. But today, Tuesday, June 19th around 9am me and my wife had a rude experience with one of the older waitresses at this Establishment First she rushed us to order, secondly when we ordered, one of the breakfast meals comes with orange juice, she gave us our food but we didn't receive our orange juice, when I asked her for it she said, "It's only a small shot" we were like ok, so but it comes with the meal, so can we have it? She finally gave it to us, then she goes on, on how the owners don't want to give out the orange juice saying, "If they don't ask for it don't give it." But we shouldn't have to ask for it if it's already on the breakfast combo. Then to add insult to injury instead of asking us for the the salt and pepper on our table, mind you there's plenty of other empty tables with salt and pepper, she reaches over my wife's food to go grab them. It was the most disgusting and disrespectful thing a waitress could do. I don't know what her problem is but I'm not going back there if she's the only waitress working. read more

Great food here with decent service, little attitude when calling but it's tolerable. Was ordering here almost 4 times a week because it was very affordable and convenient with limited options in the rockaways and was loving it. As of Friday Nov. 24 the menu changed and prices increased to an uncomfortable point and when I questioned the total the lady got very defensive about the increase. A great diner that I come to whenever I'm in Rockaway. Great customer service and the food is fantastic. I normally grab breakfast there and whether I get an omelette with some home fries or the Lumberjack which is a waffle with a side of bacon, sausage and ham, I am yet to be disappointed. OH MY GOODNESS THIS PLACE! The food is incredible A L L the time. There hasn't been a time in 3 years that I've stopped by and had anything taste bad. There coffee is to die for and I'm Hispanic I know my coffees. However the main reason I love this place is there waiter. I am so bad with names but her face and her personality is the heart of this place. She is so attentive and gives everyone the same excellent 5 star service. I am here almost every Sunday with the beau. Their coffee is great and their breakfast option is delicious. Their chicken noodle soup is to die for and their salads are great! Amazing service and the atmosphere is just comfortable. Don't let the area make you hesitant to come eat in! This was worth the trip from Manhattan and then some! Colleen is one of those people that just makes the world a better place. LOVE THIS PLACE! Friendly staff with good food and generous portions. If they don't get it right, they'll make it right. They forgot to send syrup for my pancakes once and sent someone with it right away. And they felt bad. Most places would not care. If I had syrup in the house, I never would have bothered. But, it was a great test of their service. Can't say enough good things about them. You can order through GrubHub too but the order minimum is higher. They will deliver for $10. Turns out I've been living next to the store for over eight years. I literally live two blocks down. I always see it but I always been skeptical to go in and try it. My boyfriend actually took me here when we was washing clothes just to give it a try for the breakfast menu. It's pretty good and decent I'm not gonna lie the hash brown could use a little more flavor. I ordered myself the chocolate chip pancake lumberjack deal and it was really good. It tasted amazing especially the pancake stay nice and soft and fluffy.I have yet to try their lunch but so far their breakfast actually taste really good my boyfriend got an omelette the two times we got we went he actually got them at different ones to try it out they're pretty good and they are a lot bigger than we was expecting I actually ended up ordering out since I was too lazy to cook and I haven't had any bad experience with them. The staff and the waiters are very helpful and very polite. They do an amazing job and even if they're busy the try to keep the customers happy especially rush-hour in the morning. read more
