I've driven past Nana's plenty of times but wasn't sure what type of establishment it was and then one day I saw it on the clock app and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a restaurant with amazing looking food. Decided to stop by on Sunday for breakfast. The restaurant is bright and spacious with minimal decor. We were seated immediately and set up with waters. The staff is so friendly and helpful as we decided what to get. We started with coffee and tea. The tea cup is massive so be prepared to have a lot of it. The coffee cup is small but they do offer free refills, so that was cool. The menu has so many goodies to choose from so it took some time to decide but eventually we ordered the BLT and the potato tart. The BLT came on a 6"inch sour dough ciabatta type bread which was so fluffy. The sandwich has arugula, charred tomato, your style of egg and bacon..ooh and a avocado mayo on the side. I got my eggs soft scrambled and they didn't disappoint. By far one of the best, if not, the best BLT I've had. Every bite was so flavorful and the texture was perfect. Now, the potato tart... The Potato tart was delishh! I would go back just for it. I don't know what's all in it but its amazing... I can not wait to go back and try other stuff, like the Lemon ricotta pancakes. If you ever pass by Nana's, please give it a shot.

We Finally Made It To Nana's But Definitely Not My Nana's .... Lol !!! All kidding aside; My Family Was In From Florida So we always wanted to try Nana's Since they Started Up At Lenny's .... So we did... The Coffee Fanatic. The service was awesome. The food was delicious; their crème brûlée French toast & their pancakes 5 Stars !!! We wish Nana's the best There's a lot of competition out here, especially for breakfast and we all know that the food cost has gone up tremendously. It's hard to turn a profit in the food industry right now so when you want to kick your breakfast up a notch, I definitely think you should go to Nana's... Thanks, Greg D & family

The place has a nice upscale vibe. Staff is very friendly. The menu is interesting and the food is yummy. I got a pastrami sandwich, chicken and waffles and a latte to go. $59. It's a bit expensive but the food is a good quality. I would definitely go back.

A hidden gem on Howard Beach. I ordered the pancakes which were absolutely delicious. My girlfriend ordered the omelet with the homemade hash brown. That right there was something else it was definitely the star of the meal. Great decor and friendly staff. Perfect place for nice brunch or cute simple day

This place is delicious! We love it. Plus bottomless stump town coffee, mmmm mmm mmmmm. Quite a vibe right here in Howard Beach for brunch.

Wanted to treat a special friend to brunch and found this sweet little location. Frequented the area but never noticed it- a shame. It was a rainy/ dreary Sunday and I was hoping for a quaint, cozy setting, with lots of warmth and nourishing food with great company. What I found was something with more modern esthetics: black and white deco, grand piano off to the side of the dining area, huge ceilings, open space which snatched the heat and hid it so a light breeze trickled in from time to time...however, the food did not miss. Everything on the menu and on other oa Peach Melba French Toast" Grilled brioche crowned with peach halves, raspberry Melba sauce, fresh whipped cream. $18 Omletying You Decide" On let's served with potato tart, mixed greens and your choice of toast- he had "country white". $21 The wait staff was courteous and tended to us with patience and a warmth despite the quickness with which the place filled up within an hour. Nana came over to our table to say hi and exchange pleasantries. Overall, this was a great experience. Looking to make this my go-to spot on that strip on the spring/summer.

A very popular spot in Howard Beach . Very eclectic breakfast dishes . Went for brunch today & it was packed. Our table of 6 had omelets , French toast . Highly recommend the peach Melba French toast ( divine ), a friend had the crème Brûlée French toast which was amazing , highly recommend "best it out " breakfast b BLT, omelets come with a side of their delicious version of hash browns . Cocktails are decent size and priced reasonably priced. They are now open for dinner and recently started having live entertainment. Today was the amazingly talented and beautiful Connolly sisters dining love songs from Broadway musicals.

I LOVE this place. The food is so good, the service is great. No real views or anything but it's a nice brunch spot to go to all year round. A little pricy but the food makes it worth it! I would love to see some more specialty coffee options.. lots of potential for the go-to breakfast spot.

I came in for a quick bite before my flight. It was a little packed so I sat at the bar. I think this place is family owned. Anyways everyone here is very friendly. This is a nice brunch place especially if you want to grab a bite with your girls. The setting and drinks are super cute. The food was delicious!! I followed the recommendations of not altering the menu and I have 0 regrets. I wasn't a fan of the bacon, it tasted a little store bought to me so I felt like it was a waste. If I'm ever in town I'll def stop by again for brunch

WOW! What an amazing breakfast and lunch spot added to the neighborhood. A nice change from the 20 bagel spots around. Nana's is just what this area needed. My party consisted of myself, a friend and my toddler The service was incredible we were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and provided us with recommendations; she even acknowledged my two year old and her wishes. The food! Oh man we were so torn on what to order, from the descriptions everything sounded amazing. We ended up ordering an extra entree (chicken and waffles) and sharing so we could get a taste. We started with a cinnamon roll to share! YUM it was warm with just the right amount of frosting. All of the food tasted fresh and delicious. I highly recommend and can't wait for my next visit

Tables with no notices on them about "Eggstortion" or different credit card surcharges...

I want to give a 4th star but this was my first time and you know the saying, first impressions are everything. I've heard of this place but never had a chance to come by. Walking in the place, it's very modern, bright lighting, a beautiful piano in the corner. Seats and tables are nice but they should really clean the seats thoroughly because the creases are pretty deep and it ends up looking gross. I ordered the special crème brûlée French toast and my fiance ordered the Velveteen egg sandwich. She was under the impression the salad specified in the description would come on the side and not actually on the sandwich. Although it was delicious, she really would have preferred the salad on the side, like every other dish on the menu. My French toast was delicious and although I was expecting to get syrup with it, looked around and our waitress was too busy to come to us because she decided to clean 7 tables at once after having an altercation with a table that just left. After my first 2 bites I decided maybe I didn't need it exactly because the crème brûlée made the French toast a bit more moist as if there was syrup on it. Both toasts are the size of my palm. The raspberries in the description that were supposed to be included were just 2 tiny ones sitting next to a squirt of whipped cream, didn't taste homemade. Why describe in the menu if you don't even give any of it? Our drinks were pretty good but pricey for just champagne based. Overall the menu is pretty expensive but the food is pretty tasty. Portions could be better. The problem that changed my vibe was at the end when my fiancé tried to pay, 1 of our 2 waitresses shows her a laminated paper and says it should have been on our table before we ordered. It wasn't. The paper is titled "Eggstortion" and explains that because of the egg price increase, any dish that contains eggs will be charged $2.00 more. So because my French toast was made with eggs, I get charged as well. LMFAO I'm in the industry and I know it's hard but to penny pinch on how the dish is made is wild and so unnecessary. On top of that, when paying with a card, whether it's debit (which is considered cash, comes straight from the account) or credit, you will be charged according to the bank. There is no reason or explanation of the amount that you get charged when using a card which I've never heard of before. It's based on the machine they are using. Also doesn't say on the first check they hand you, she states "oh it's in the menu.... ". No it also wasn't in the menu. If you're going to have all these polices and charges throughout the establishment, you should be more clear, more transparent with your customers and enforcing it on every table. My fiancé enjoyed her meal, as did I but that was a big turnoff for me. I'll probably be back because she loved it so much.

To put a cherry on top of this review, I would like to add that we asked for the manager and she came over to our table sat with us, had coffee, and we had a really great conversation about so many different topics. That really was impressive because it's so important for managers to know their customers, and to know the community that they are doing business in. One to the food, the jerk salmon was well seasoned, and well prepared. It was cooked to a great temperature and tasted really good. The chicken and waffles were well seasoned and the waffle was so fluffy and warm and nice. I would definitely return because I saw so many things on the menu that I would want to try. they also serve mimosas, wine, and lots of hot drinks and I want to try their mimosa flight.

The owner Benny was also kind enough to give us some free desserts to take home, which were pretty good. I heard him making jokes with customers and asking people for feedback. Now to the rest of it: service is weird and slow. When we were seated, we had to wait a little bit until receiving menus. Water wasn't automatically given to us also, so you have to ask. A woman took down our order, but later asked if we got waffles, even though I said pancakes - overall took 25 minutes to get our order of a salad and pancakes. Pancake platter came with two pancakes, two eggs, and a couple berries on the side. There's also an option to add sausage or bacon but no price there, which adds to the confusion. When we pointed it out, they removed the charge from our bill. There were maybe 3 people who stood behind the coffee bar which is kind of around a corner, making it hard to get service if you're not in their field of vision. Kind of strange there isn't a clear welcoming desk or something like that. Also, I think the menu uses AI as photos - there's a picture of a burger with fries and chips, but I don't think they serve chips. There's also a picture of cake with garlic next to it, which could be an artistic choice. We didn't get any drinks, but there was a table next to us who abandoned their full cups of Nutella lattes which was interesting.
