Felt like I was back in a NYC Lounge. Great place, staff was amazing. Mike made sure all my meds were met. My daughter had an amazing time.

Whether I'm working or attending a function, the Manor has always met my expectations. With experience at more than a hundred events, I can confidently say that you can't go wrong with Birchwood Manor. I'm heading there today!

We fell in love with Birchwood Manor the first time we visited 2 years ago as the first person we…read moremet with was Michael Marino, who was so warm and welcoming from the beginning. Since then, we've worked with Michael on planning our wedding and he was so great to work with. He was easy to communicate with, super energetic and full of positive energy throughout the planning, and very informative. We wanted our dogs in the ceremony a lower guest minimum for fear that less people at the time would attend due to covid and Michael quickly accommodated our requests, no questions asked! Our wedding was 10/14/23 and Farrell was our maitre'd. After getting home, my matron of honor, brother in law and mom had nothing but AMAZING things to say about Farrell. According to my mom, Farrell saw my grandpa had trouble with his boutonniere and she, without us asking, started helping him and all the other groomsmen clip them on. She worked with my husband on getting a little last-minute seating mishap resolved (we had some unplanned guests who had initially rsvp'd no and showed up). She was so good with children as our flower girl and flower boy/ring bearer were 4 and 7 and she interacted with them and helped show them what to do at the ceremony. Our day of coordinator unfortunately had an emergency and was not there part of the wedding but Farrell really took over and checked in on us constantly and took charge of the day. My matron of honor said Farrell was so nice and reliable and amazing at her job. Going back to the wedding, our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was, down to the chandeliers in the ballroom. Our wedding was unfortunately outdoors but Birchwood was so accommodating with allowing us to use the Grand Ballroom for the ceremony as the reception was already set up elsewhere. We upgraded the cocktail hour to deluxe and with both my husband and I being from Chinese families with high expectations in regards to seafood, the lobster tails were gone instantly as our guests loved them so much. People raved about how good the cocktail hour was, including the carving station and shrimp scampi station. The ice sculpture was a beautiful and elegant touch. All in all, we and our guests had nothing but an amazing time at Birchwood. We have nothing but positive experiences through our 2 years of wedding planning. Thank you Michael and Farrell and Birchwood Manor for helping us plan our wedding and make our wedding day visions really come to life!

Lots of different entrances to get into the hotel but all key card accessible only so it's safe. Room was smaller but clean. Had a king bed with a large sofa. The TV doesn't really face the bed which was weird. Bathroom was clean and shower was clean. Water tasted weird out of the sink when brushing teeth. Im not sure my air worked I wanted to put it on but the buttons didn't work, but it was a comfortable temp without. It was a tad loud, you can hear trains and cars on route 10. Things echo on the hallway as they do in most hotels. I could hear my neighbor cough through the walls. I only stayed two nights so nothing was cleaned from housekeeping but I didn't really need it. Overall in a pinch this was perfect for what I needed.

A few weeks ago we stayed here for a wedding in the area. Long story short, they gave a stranger a…read morekey card to our room at 3am but when he couldn't get in because the manual lock was done from the inside, a different male employee proceeded to try and pick the lock without announcing himself or knocking or calling the room. Thankfully I woke up to the sound when it was happening and confronted the guy before he could get in. SO all of that happens, I'm rightfully shaken up and running on a couple hours of sleep a few hours later, not a single employee is to be found when we go to check out other than a cashier for the market in the lobby. Cool, no big deal. I get the email and number of the person directly above the one that tried entering our room because I want an explanation. Since then, this manager Maegan Gundry will not call me back, will not answer my email, will not give me any sort of apology or explanation as to why and how this happened. Mistakes happen but when you intentionally ignore a major breach of safety and privacy that leads me to believe there are more sinister reasons behind why I'm not being given an explanation. I'm not one to jump to conclusions but given the way this manager has dealt with this (or rather lack of) tells me that this probably wasn't an accident in the first place. Stay far far away from this hotel if you need a place in the area.

They keep a good mix of 80s, 90s, new, sing alongs, etc. The security guys were nice. Bar didn't take too long, definitely a wait but I've had way worse. Bathroom was a little gamey but it was later in the night and the St. Patty's day crowd was out so I'm sure it's usually much nicer. Definitely give this place a shot. So fun!

My girlfriend and I decided to visit The Laundromat, a speakeasy that came highly recommended by…read morefriends. From the moment we arrived, the entrance was a standout disguised as a regular laundromat with a bouncer outside. The door itself was cleverly hidden, blending in as a regular washing machine, and if you weren't in the know, you'd probably miss it entirely. Once inside, we descended into a spacious area with two bar stations and a stage set up for live music, which gave the place an exciting, eclectic vibe. Since it was our first time, we asked for the cocktail menu and were fortunate to have Dan as our bartender, easily one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered. His drink-making skills were on another level, and we immediately struck up a great conversation. Dan started us off with some unique choices from the menu. I tried the Smoked Apple Fashion, which was incredibly smooth with a crisp apple flavor and a subtle smoky finish. It was so easy to drink almost too easy! My girlfriend ordered the Gangnam Style, which was visually stunning with boba pearls, though not very strong if you're after a more potent drink. Next, I had the Cider House Mule, and it was hands-down the best mule I've ever tasted. They swapped out the typical vodka for spiced rum, and it was a game changer bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. This is when things started to get really fun. Dan, seeing that we were enjoying ourselves, began crafting custom drinks for us, starting with Dan's Malibu Special for my girlfriend. She loves Malibu, and this drink was fruity, smooth, and delicious. It was so good, I had to order one for myself. Dan recommended adding a shot of tequila to give it a bit more kick, and he wasn't wrong this was next-level good. Honestly, Dan's Malibu Special needs to be a permanent item on their menu. It's that good and would definitely be a hit. Dan then served up a Peanut Noir Old Fashioned. I know I know, peanut in a cocktail sounds odd, but it was incredible! I was blown away by how well the peanut flavor worked in an Old Fashioned. It was one of those drinks that make you question why you haven't had something like it before. Dan mentioned that unlike many places that use store bought ingredients, they make a lot of their mixers and components from scratch. For instance, their ginger root is muddled fresh for mules rather than relying on ginger beer, which really makes a difference in flavor and freshness. Following that, I tried a Chocolate Old Fashioned, which, while still very smooth, was probably the weakest of the Old Fashioneds I had that night, but it still went down easy. By this point, I was starting to feel the effects of all these fantastic cocktails, especially since I hadn't eaten all day! I ended my night with a Summer Old Fashioned, garnished with either rosemary or thyme (I can never tell the difference). It had that signature smoothness Dan brought to all his Old Fashioneds and was a perfect end to the night. The ambiance of The Laundromat was fantastic. It had a lively yet relaxed feel, with a mixed crowd of both older and younger patrons. Sports were playing on the TVs, and you could tell the energy would pick up even more when the live music kicked off around 7:30. Unfortunately, we had to leave before that to grab some food (after all that drinking, I needed something in my stomach!). Thankfully, I had the foresight to take a Lyft to The Laundromat, easily the best decision of the night. Overall, The Laundromat is an absolute gem. The drinks were some of the best I've ever had, the conversation with Dan was great, and the atmosphere was perfect for a fun, laid-back night out. I'll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable cocktail experience.
