Stay Away from their Afternoon Tea please! We recently booked Pendry Natirar's Holiday Boozy Afternoon Tea and we had a bad experience. While the location & ambience is good, food was terrible. It is very pricey and all you get is 3 micro savory bites, 3 micro salad bites, 3 micro dessert bites & 3 small cocktails. When the food arrived we were shocked by the quantity. Instead of 3 cocktails they could have provided a little more food. We had to order extra food from the bar! Quality of food was also terrible. Not Fresh. We have had afternoon tea at the Ritz and it was amazing! We were expecting something similar but this was a rip off. Literally fooling people. The grounds are peacefully and kept well, quiet and peaceful place for an afternoon brunch. Brunch started with a late morning light mingling spread of pastries, croissants, rolls with raw veggies and not your ordinary hummus. I very much liked the fact that the vegetables I was eating came from the garden that was in my view. The recommended Carrot Hummus was pretty good accompaniment to the crunchy vegetables. The pastry options weren't the best however, the plain and chocolate croissants felt day old at best and weren't flaky to be honest. Sit down brunch was much better. It all started with a fresh smoked salmon tray with capers, tomato, and red onion. It went well with a warmed basket of mini bagels. The main entree of Eggs Benedict was rich, the poached eggs were done well on top of Canadian Bacon and a toasted English Muffin. An accompaniment of bacon and sausage was appreciated but not necessary but boy was it tasty! The Yukon potatoes were some of the best brunch potatoes ever, tasty and crispy. Same goes for the fries, which were still crispy as leftovers later in the day as well. The mini dessert platter was ordinary but a Red Velvet cake slice was really good. I had the pleasure of coming here for a company event and it was absolutely magnificent. The outside had wonderful views and the interior had unique décor. The service was very courteous as well. The foods I tried are below. Street Tacos - I had the shredded chicken and their guacamole with green salsa along with appeared to be some type of cabbage. It was all very good. The chicken was a little dry, but the green salsa and moist cabbage helped. Lobster Roll - This was okay, a little dry and not much flavor. The bread was a little too soft. Grass Fed Beef and Fried Chicken Sliders with Fries - These were very good. The beef was cooked to a medium rare temperature with plenty of flavor. The chipotle aioli was a nice added touch too. The chicken was flavorful as well. Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus - This was grilled to perfection, no complaints here. We requested the outdoor sitting - which the untrained hostess said had a wait of 20 mins we agreed to wait and have drinks then she changed saying 25 mins and then again we said yes and -- she says 35 mins!! And surprisingly more than two tables were empty and set the whole entire three hours we were there! So why the lies?! Our server was very very nice! My wife and I had a terrible experience at Natirar while celebrating our anniversary on 9/17/23. After confirming earlier in the day that the restaurant had a corkage fee I was told by the sommelier, after opening a 96' Chateau Mouton, that we no longer permit corkage fees. I explained that I was told earlier in the day that Natirar had a $35 corkage fee after which she asked me ," what time did you call , who did you speak to , did he have an accent "? . Then she proceeded to tell me the restaurant wasn't opened at that time and that no such person existed ". I proceeded to show her my phone with the time and number of my call to which she responded, " I don't recognize that number". The two couples on either side of us were earshot of the conversation and it was to say the least quite embarrassing. I actually couldn't believe that someone in the hospitality business at such a refined restaurant could be so rude and accusatory. She told us that she would be back to resolve the matter. Shortly thereafter a man approached our table whom I assumed was the manager, but was actually the gentleman who answered my phone call earlier in the day. Thankfully, he was honest enough to admit that he had misinformed me . He was extremely professional and apologetic so much so I offered him a glass of our wine. On a different note, I must say the food was excellent , exquisitely presented and the service was seamless . My wife and I hope to have a better experience in the future. read more

I have been coming here for some time and I must say I'm never disappointed. Driving up to the restaurant is a beauty in itself and once you walk in it is no different. I have been here for dinners, weddings, and work events and the service here is always top notch as is the quality. Today I ordered the Bibb lettuces salad which was amazing but be warned, it can feed a family of four! My boyfriend ordered the squash soup and the fluke starter which were both equally delicious! For entrée I ordered the red snapper and he ordered the scallops which again, we're top notch. The snapper was by far a much bigger portion so be hungry! Lastly we got the crispy potatoes...and oh my lord. I love everything potato, but these bad boys may have been the best I've had. Whatever you do, get the potatoes! read more

Natirar is always excellent! Great for working out with your dogs, enjoying the seasonal flowers and foliage and wandering around the Grounds. Hiking all of the trails will provide about a four mile walk - hills, river, meadows and grounds. read more

We had our wedding here in October and everything was amazing. The staff were extremely attentive and Megan, who helped us organize our event, was incredible. We wanted an outdoor wedding but had concerns about weather (given the time of year) Megan set our minds at ease explaining alternate ways to use the indoor space if needed (we lucked out as it was sunny and upper 50's). Given the intimate nature of our wedding (just 50 guests) Megan arranged a meeting with their executive chef. Together we created a cocktail hour and four course menu (which also featured a wine pairing) around many of our favorite foods and culinary styles. Part of the reason we wanted to have our wedding at Natirar/Ninty Acres was for the food/farm to table experience and this touch totally set our wedding apart from any we had experienced before. All of our guests were at awe at the food, restaurant and the property. Many guests said it was the best wedding they had been to (and you could tell it was sincere). Mind blown. We came here for a beautiful wedding in June and fell in love with the place. From the landscaping and the views, to the beautifully maintained building - what a delight! The perfect sunny day didn't hurt either. Cocktail hour was indoor/outdoor so we had a chance to roam the patio in the back and take in the grounds. First off, the lawn is immaculate, and the whole area is serene and calm. The scenery made for very beautiful photos, that's for certain. The food served was really good, high quality ingredients shone through each dish. The wedding was in a large room - which we were informed was has only been doing weddings for the past year (since June 2017). One wall was a live garden-wall, which was truly beautiful. The food was excellent, and the staff were super friendly! A few of us wanted coffee a bit earlier in the evening (#oldfarts) and they gladly obliged. Beautiful location and property. Restaurant menu is so/so and extremely over priced. Food was not bad but not worth the price and the hype. Here is something that I want to make sure everyone sees. We sat at the bar and I was able to see the bartender, up close. He was making drinks for those dining in the restaurant section and I actually saw him 'sample' the drink directly from the shaker and then pour it into the glass. I have never seen this before - total turnoff. Mouth, lips and germs in the glass. I asked for the check and then we left. I will never go back. read more

I spent a day in the park. It is a beautiful location were you could easily forget you are in New Jersey. The grounds were well kept. I enjoyed the high flowing stream from the recent rains. Natirar is a Somerset County park that offers two huge, beautifully kept meadows with broad, smooth walking trails around each meadow. One trail is 1.3 miles, the other is 1 mile. The shorter path is a little hilly and mostly in the sun, with some benches along the way. The longer loop winds along a small stream in the woods for part of it, and is so smooth you could bring little kids on bikes or even push someone in a wheelchair. This park is owned by the Somerset Park commission and they do a great job maintaining the park. It's very clean, plenty of parking (mostly on gravel), and makes for a great walking area. There are maps available near the parking location. There are two loops the first one is on gravel terrain and about 1.25 miles. There are benches along the way to take a break or just sit and listen to the river that surrounds the area. The loop further back is a little more hilly and on a grassy terrain. You'll mostly see people out walking with dogs along with the occasional runners and others taking a stroll. read more

I went there yesterday with my family to celebrate my 30th birthday. The waitress was aware at the beginning of dinner that we were here celebrating it. The food the service was horrible. No one checked on us to see if the food came out okay. They didn't provide us with sharing silverware or sharing plates for the apps we ordered. Lastly, the whole point of going there was to celebrate a birthday and when we ordered dessert she didn't bring it out with a candle. It is a destination restaurant. The architecture, landscape, setting are magnificent but the chef and staff are the real deal. Able to deliver on all counts and a secret is the very best fried chicken anywhere in the area, bar none! The batter is pie crust good, Griggs Farm chicken is lobster sweet moist and the entire combo is reasonable. This is a fine restaurant without lot of pretense. Diners add their own pretense but if you come on weekday and keep drinks to minimum the fare and cost are in the 4-5 star lane. The interior construction is a lot of hard surfaces so hearing guests across a big round table for anyone with even slight hearing impairment may find the noise level imposing but seating can be arranged if you know in advance. Great choice for intimate and even better for larger meet-up gathering. If you get reservation of 10 or more they can handle this effortlessly for unforgettable dining experience. I have never committed to a tasting menu because I usually stick to favorites from the time I make my reservation but I will plan to try it. Sure it is great! read more

This review is for Natirar park and not the restaurant .This park offers nice running and nature hiking trail. I have been to this park lot of times. Yesterday we took our baby there 1 and half year old . The running/walking path is not paved so if you are carrying a stroller the run/ride can be bumpy and does get little hard at some points to push the stroller . Our baby loved the hike :) we did let him walk around the barn ( one of the hike leads to a barn it has no animals just hay) the sound of river while walking/running is so relaxing ..definitely a good way to destress yourself read more

Horrible place. We will never go back to this place! We were celebrating our friends birthday who is not from the area, so we wanted to show her a great place and to share a good experience but we were embarrassed. We will definitely will never come back! Service is terrible! For few hours they couldn't figure out which table we can sit at. The waiter didn't ask if we want anything to drink. They didn't offer us a bread! Then we asked for the bread and we did an order. We waited for more than 40 minutes and the waiter came to us and ask if we want them to start cooking. We first thought that he is joking! He said "we wanted you to enjoy your bread first"! When my husband was talking to him about all this nonsense the waiter just left! The drive up to natirar never gets boring. The stone architecture takes you back to a Gatsby era. I look forward to their new construction. Natirar offers more than an amazing dining experience. They offer cooking classes and to host your private events. Imagine having your wedding at this amazing estate with the support of their amazing event planners. Consider the wine cellar room next time you are looking plan a private dinner event. All of their menus have so much to offer. They have a great offering of craft beer, cocktails, wines, desserts and obviously food. Their pork belly pizza with farm eggs, chillies, fontina, gorgonzola and Asiago is what brings me back. I always fear that on my next visit, it won't be on the menu. Ahhhh!!!!!!!! I recommend a clean crisp IPA to compliment the pizza, rich with pork belly, three cheeses, and runny yoke. They had a seared Foie Gras app special that was hard to resist. It was accompanied by two broiche toast, cranberry compote, and pistachios. Their pot of mussels with local beer and chorizo is another great choice. The only complaint about the mussels is that they are piled high in a deep cast iron pot, making it difficult to reach the amazing red sauce in the beginning. read more

This place has always been quite nice, because of how open it is to all ages. First, the gates are open from dawn to dusk, and the grounds have streetlights going along the road. There's a parking lot and signs indicating the direction of traffic, and a water fountain (although I don't recommend, it tastes of metal and rotten egg) in regards to the actual park, the trails are all fairly easy and short, even if the newest trail leading up the hill is somewhat steeper than the other two. I think the best thing about this place is the beautiful sight of the rolling grassy lawn, backed by the forests in the back and sides of the park. In certain angles, the ninety acres restaurant's building can be seen peeking out from behind the treeline, an ancient headnod to the family that once owned this entire plot. read more

My first 5 star restaurant. Impeccable service. I've been here with party's from 8 to by myself and yes it appropriately changed to allow more time with the larger the table. Never rushed by never having to chase wait staff down. Good wait staff tells the kitchen when to "fire table 12". Interesting atmosphere. I took Pictures to show coworkers looking for a new place to call their own and their are always pressed. The food is the star. I. am always surprised at the combinations of flavors. My wife and I had a dinner reservation at a ILL MONELLO down the street and thought we'd stop into Natirar for a cocktail before our reservation. My wife is involved with arranging many social affairs with participants that have 40-60 envolved. She in the process of finding a place that had an good atmosphere and reasonable prices. We were sitting at the bar and looking over the cocktail menu. Most drinks averaged between $12-$18, I am a Manhattan drinker. So I asked the bartender what type of bourbon they served. He told me of the brands they had and then asked me if I ever had a tasted a bourbon called "Widow Jane". I said no and he proceeded to pour me a sample. The taste was smooth and he asked if I would like my Manhattan made with the Widow Jane bourbon. I said sure. I also ordered one for my wife knowing she would like the flavor also. What he failed to tell me was that the Widow Jane Manhattan was $30 a drink. We met a very nice couple at the bar and the gentleman said he was also a Manhattan drinker, so I suggested to him the Widow Jane Manhattan. The check came and we saw how much we were charged as compared to my normal Manhattan, which is basically $18 with Woodford bourbon. The worst part besides the bartender NOT telling me the price difference was I talked someone else into getting shafted. This place was definitely OFF my wife's list after that incident.. Natirar (Raritan spelled backwards) is the restuarant located on the old King of Morrocco estate in Peapack, NJ. The drive into the estate up towards the restaurant is an impressive 1.5 miles of farm land and park-like setting. The restuarant sits atop a hill on the 450 acre property and houses the restaurant and bar as well as a cooking school and cognac room. There is a dining room and a bar dining room, separated only by the hostess station with no real distinction between the two except one is located near the bar. According to the menu, all produce served comes from local farms or is grown on the estate farms and its evident as everything was super fresh. You would have to be a Millionare to have a wedding in the Mansion at Natirar. My fiance and I got a tip to head to Natirar to check this place out. We were shying away from the typical banquet hall/wedding factory and wanted to find some kind of mansion or estate to have the wedding at. The mansion and the land that it sits on is grand and so are the views. Perhaps that is why the price per person is so grand as well, more on that later. As soon as I walked into the mansion I noticed different areas of the walls were highlighted with light, I looked up and noticed that white pin spots were hung from the clean sprinkler pipe, ... illegal. I also soon learned that they were currently doing construction in the tent area so we could not see where our reception would be taking place. At the end of the tour we sat down and looked through photos of other people's weddings and just before It came time to leave I asked the very important question of cost. The sales person stated that the caterer would get back to us soon and would not even give an estimate. An agonizing day went by, day-dreaming about the perfect wedding at Natirar. But fresh cracked pepper wasn't automatically offered when food arrived. And then what do they give you after you ask for it? A puny set of salt and pepper mills. And you have to do it yourself. Secondly, my venison entree was horrible. It tasted like the meat was sitting in the fridge for days! Not fresh!!! Don't put something on the menu when the quality is BAD Natirar! And it wasn't cooked the way I asked which was medium rare. Yes shoe leather is what I ate for my third course, what a let down! Amazing drive in wonderful grounds leading to the main house where the restaraunt and bar are located. Decor is Manhattan chic but not too pretentious. Kitchen side tables have an amazing view of pristine kitchen at work! Food is creative and very tasty. Service is generally attentive.
