We wanted to sit in the lobby, but there was trash at the fireplace. The lobby was unclean ie the couch, table, fireplace area. There was no coffee or cream in our room. It took 40 minutes for them to come up. They brought cream and sugar and no coffee. We called the front desk twice to rectify this issue. There was a phone in the room that did not work and no phone cord, which is a huge safety issue. There was yelling and slamming doors at 6am outside of our room in the hallway. There was also no body soap in the shower, when we showered this morning. We will not be returning, as this was another disappointing stay.

The food was excellent! The service was attentive but needed to be more accessible to the guests with their orders, and serving water. Plus telling guests about coffee, desserts, and cappuccino (which was forgotten). I still gave them five star for their efforts. But wanted to mention these things for the next party. Everything seems well thought out for making guests comfortable with snacks, coffee, sodas, cookies, available at all times. The house is quite large and with the barn also accessible, there's no issue finding a quiet spot for reading or even listening to music with a glass of wine using the Sonos music system (even available in the barn!). This would be perfect for a family to rent out the whole home. Going stir crazy due to pandemic concerns? This is a great way to change your view safely.

However it is a DIY place so be prepared to set everything up on your own and clean up the next day, unless of course you hire someone for that. :) The ceremony took place by the brook in the back, the dinner tables were set up under a tent in the field, dancing and the band were in the barn. The only good thing about the hotel is the staff; they were all kind. The hotel itself should be ashamed to call itself a Tapestry Collection Hilton. First the room smelled old and stale. I have photos of the cracks in the walls. The chipped paint. The dirt along the baseboards. The shower floors totally chipped. The pipes knocking loudly every single morning. It was awful. She came right over, opened the bedroom window to let the radiator heat out, and turned off the heat for the building. As a first time customer, I was lucky to get the reservation since the Inn has so many repeat customers. The room was great and it came with its own parking spot on the premises. The owners are lovely and very accommodating and the location (close to train, highways and restaurants) was fantastic. All in all a great experience.

The hosts, Iris and Rafi are wonderful, the house is beautiful, the grounds are well-maintained, the town is just down the road - with great dining options, and hiking trails within a few miles are awesome. Only my second B&B, and would definitely do it again. Not sure why name is coming up as SoMa, SF - we came from MD.
