The recently renovatedHotel Indigo is now a Delta Marriott Bonvoy property. It sports a full service restaurant, patio, exercise and full service bar. All are renovated, clean and modern. Plenty of parking in front. The rooms have been totally overhauled, with larger than average rooms, big screen TV, chaise, refrigerator and desk. Chargers at the bedside tables and desk provide for all your tech. The bathroom is also updated and also spacious, but has a couple of quirks - the shower is half glass, half open. Guess where the water goes? To top that off, the splash out reaches the metal framed door, which was left unfinished along the shower-side edge. Can you say "rust"? The staff was wonderful and for the price, this was an incredible value. Would definitely stay here again.

Smart TV is only as smart as the user. These people have the TV set up to their own cable system so if you disconnect it then you cannot turn the TV down it stays at 100 the way they set it up. So you have to disconnect their internet as well in order to be able to use the manual television buttons but they don't know that instead they kept telling me it was my internet that was causing it and this is the engineer who's only job here is to know what the hell he's talking about and he doesn't. Fortunately my 14-year-old child isn't stupid and she disconnected everything so that we can use our PlayStation 5 and our own internet. Then the refrigerator doesn't work so their solution is to put my medicine in the fridge but not give it to me when I need it. Apparently the same genius engineer has the only key to the refrigerators. You would think one would just get a refrigerator from another room or even move me to another room seeing as how my medicines pretty important just like my service dog.

    Door to my room.

The hotel is in AWFUL condition. Staff communication is unprofessional and disappointing. I have raised concerns to Marriott corporate and will not be returning.

This place got 2 stars solely for the staff and the continental breakfast. As far as the rooms?! They need some immediate attention. The air conditioning units are old and need to be replaced. Mine made a loud banging noise the entire night. I expected better from a Marriott affiliated hotel.

Door does not close!! No privacy

Dated beyond belief. Delta is a newer chain I thought. Guess not. No ice machines and no upgrade. Window unit a/c. No thanks.

While I only had a night to stay here, I could have stayed a week in this room…read more These are the types of hotels I love when I travel. Clean, spacious room, very comfortable bed and pillows, quiet, free breakfast, indoor pool, gym, easy free parking, safe neighborhood and restaurants/stores close, reasonable prices, towels very good quality and clean and they have soap bars! I would stay here again. Only things I did not like: --The free breakfast was "Okay" but would have been great if they had Hard Boiled Eggs and higher quality yogurt. They did have oatmeal. Since Covid, it's hard to find a free great breakfast anymore at a hotel. --Got back at 2 AM and the shower only had very hot water! I ran it for 10 minutes and still only HOT-burning HOT! What the problem was is that a new control arm was installed and they they did not test the temperature. I temporarily fixed it by turning the water off and then applying max pressure to the control arm while turning it on so that it would grip the cold control. The shower was now a bit only on the just warm side--not hot but good for one shower--I survived. I would have to change rooms if I was staying another night. --Staff at the front desk is not the friendliness, even by LA Standards, but they get the job done. They just don't seem happy there for whatever reason. I tried to talk them up--they were not interested in even light conversation. Everyone is under financial pressure these days effecting their work attitude. Maybe it was me and they did not want to chat with me--don't know. --No hook or high towel bar to hang up my toiletries bag in the bathroom--I had to hang it in the closet. Wish there were more hooks for efficiency. --No free bottled water and it it costs $4-5 a bottle!! Overall, I would recommend a stay here--just turn the shower on when you get in the room to make sure it works on your temperature. These days everyone is hiring a "Sunday Charlie" to fix things instead of a licensed plumber to save money.

Staff was friendly. 1 star off: Even though the hotel is located in a residential area, there was still quite a bit of street noise. The walls were thin and either construction noise or a neighbor's alarm woke me up every morning. Breakfast was included. There was a Starbucks conveniently located right in the lobby, i.e. you can roll out of bed and get a coffee without putting on the whole gear to go outside in the cold. Happy hour occurs every afternoon, and upon check-in, I was given a few drink tickets. I didn't end up using them, but it was a nice add-on.

There was also a large Christmas tree outside when I walked up. Now for what's the same as in get past... omelette bar! Complimentary hospitality hour with adult beverages and snacks (be sure get a ticket at the desk if you check-in on the app), large spacious rooms and bathrooms with modern updates! I love the proximity of this hotel to the Newark airport (around 25 minutes away). I also love that there is a Starbucks and restaurant (grain and cane) downstairs for convenience. I took advantage of both for an evening beverage (they Starbucks closes at 6pm) and dinner. This hotel is located in a quiet business area and I love that there is ample free lot parking which I've found to be quite rare with Jersey hotels! The front desk staff are very nice and even took the time to ask how my dinner was! This also seemed to be a very popular wedding guest hotel based on large groups I saw checking in and wedding guest gifts behind the desk. I'll be sure to consider this hotel as an option next time I'm in the area, especially before a flight out of EWR.
