Here is the summary from the weekend. I was told my original complaint went to hotel leadership. Never heard back. - I got the email on Tuesday to check in via app. I downloaded the app. I kept getting the error message to try back later. Tried for a day. No luck. I used your chat feature and social media to get help. I was actually told by them "sorry try again later, nothing we can do."  - someone later responded telling me to use my hilton number, typing it and no copying and pasting. It finally worked. I was checked it and got a message to go to the front desk to get our physical key.  - we were told by the grooms family that the wedding block was on the 5th floor. I called the hotel and told them that and I was told "subject to availability." No, not acceptable. I was transfered to Shaniqua who kept talking over me and then finally put us on the 5th floor. When we arrived after 11pm, I went to the front desk to get our keys and was told I was NOT checked in and they had to do it. - we get to our room. The fridge was not cold. The safe was broken and the lighting is terrible (very dim) in the room.  - friday I went to the gym and had to ask the security guard where it was because signage is so poor. He walked me there.  - the prices at the grain restaurant are absurd. But I guess you're paying for convenience since there's nothing in the area. - we had the after party at the bar and I had pizza from the food truck the couple had. I got yelled at by the bartender. Mean while 5 min later, about 5 other girls walked in with pizza. Not a word to them.  I am extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service with this hotel. I will never be staying here especially since the hotel doesn't have the audacity to respond to a message.

There's no easy way to get to it because it sits atop a mountain, but it's beautiful. The rooms are phenomenal; very spacious. I had an issue which the manager rectified immediately. To start, I was able to check in the day before; pick our room and bypass the check-in desk and head straight to our room using the electronic key on my phone to access the elevator as well as our room. I actually could have checked out in the app as well, but somebody was thirsty. So I paid $8.50, yes you read right, for two 20 oz sodas. WTH? Sorry I'm all over the place, I keep remembering things. There's an area between the bedroom and the living area with a wet bar (sink, Keurig, microwave and fridge) on one side and a large BR on the other side. I'll be back...

I had a pleasant stay at the Embassy Suites. PROS: (1) I enjoyed the room and the interior of the hotel (lobby). (2) I felt like they had a lot of more modern furniture with built in outlets and USB ports. (3) Had reading lights on both sides of the bed in case someone wanted to read while the other wanted to keep sleeping. (4) Large TV CONS: (1) The breakfast offered felt very limited. (2) Casting to Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra isn't available on the basic Netflix plan (ones with ads). So if you have a basic plan, you can't watch the largest streaming service on the TV.

Very nice hotel. I'm from SoCal, so I'm not accustomed to the isolation of these NJ hotels. This has the distance of a Las Vegas hotel in that you probably have to drive to get to most things. There are some nearby business parks, so it's convenient for them. I arrived on a Saturday for a one week stay. I probably came in a very interesting weekend! It was a very quiet and the grounds of the place are very clean and well kept. The attached Starbucks is beautiful and the staff of the hotel and Starbucks both are wonderful. I used everything except the pool and gym since I had a lot going on. Event space We held an office event there one night and used their catering service. All of it was wonderful. We had a bar, appetizers and a buffet dinner. All of it on point. We also use this hotel for large offsite meetings and I've never heard bad feedback. There was a bar mitzvah at the hotel the night I arrived. In addition to that, there was a sports team staying onsite and the staff and law enforcement kept things safe and moving. All of it handled very well. Fans were in the lobby, but were not disruptive. I felt very safe and entertained quite frankly. I was in the lobby waiting for food deliveries and for Lyft rides or friends, so I saw many interactions and the hotel staff were always gracious, no matter who they were dealing with. Staff also helped me update my Honors account that I had not used in years due to the pandemic. Rooms I can only speak for my room, but all of it was clean and well maintained. It was a 2 Queen suite. I enjoyed the room and having a fridge and a microwave was wonderful for a one week stay. It was also nice for hosting a small gathering in your room since the bedroom was a different and completely separate room. They had Honest products attached to the walls for shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. Unless you have specific needs, these do well for a short trip. The lotion is the kind that stays white on the skin until you rub it in well but it's not greasy. Bedding was fine, I prefer the competitor's bedding better, but the beds were comfy and room temps can be easily changed on the thermostat, which I did. Water right now I think it's an issue that is being addressed, maybe due to the construction in the area. One night I had tainted water, like from rust, the next morning the water was fine, but it took a while to warm up. That was the only problem but it went away quickly. Meals Complimentary breakfast and evening gathering There is an on-site restaurant called Cain and Grain. They host the breakfast. The complimentary buffet breakfast was great. Bacon, sausages, potatoes, eggs, danishes, made to order omelets, oatmeal, fresh fruit, 4 different juices, coffee and tea. The coffee is actually quite good. All of it good but I did find the potatoes too dry. Bar is small but very well done and there is a bar tender. My friends enjoyed the bar. I had a mock tail and soda. Both were fine. I didn't use this restaurant for lunch or dinner. Parking Parking is free and very convenient. I used Lyft while there but my friends did park without issues. Again there is security there. I'm seeing new construction that appears to be chargers, so I don't know when that will be completed.

Stayed here for an offsite wedding. Staff was lovely - kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, and patient. The restaurant staff also need a shoutout for being awesome. Gorgeous view and location. Little bit of the beaten path (some winding roads off the highway) but I liked that. Decor was really nice and get open and welcoming. Breakfast lives up to what we love from Embassy Suites. Plus having a Starbucks didn't heart either. Hardwood floors in the room were also pretty cool. The only thing I wish was a bit better was room cleanliness. The couch had crumbs and hair on it - could have used a vacuum. Wasn't a big deal had I didn't need to use it but it was a bit off putting. The rug could have used a good vacuum as well.

    Nice location and Hotel. 12/2019

There is also a small bar where you can order drinks and bring them back to your seat. Our group had a private tent area reserved, and the event was well organized. Buffet-style food had been arranged before our arrival, and we were able to bring in decorations, a birthday cake, and other party favors without any issues. The outdoor bar stops serving around 9:00 p.m., but we were able to move to a covered area near to the hotel restaurant and bar, which was equipped with heat lamps and provided a comfortable place to continue the evening. Service throughout the event was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend The Smokehouse for group gatherings, birthday parties, or a casual day out. There is plenty of space, the prices are reasonable, and the staff does a great job accommodating larger groups. Also, it's conveniently located not far from the train station.

My room had a slightly dusty floor, based on what I saw on my socks when I took them off, but everything else was spotless, especially the bathroom, which is most important to me. My shower had great water pressure and more than enough hot water, so bonus points there! The door stuck as another Yelper noted, but I could easily shut it completely with minimal effort, so not an issue for me at all. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel provided in the shower stall, and facial soap bar, lotion, and mouthwash, which was more bonus points, as I've never seen this provided and I don't like to bottle my own and seal it to bring when I travel! Big screen TV with HBO is in the room, and my king bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. There were plush bath robes for my use in the closet, but I didn't use them. They were also for sale at front desk. Free breakfast is included, which is in a very nice dining room in the lower level. Breads, cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juices, yogurt, bottled water, and hot food items are provided. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, bacon, and potato wedges on my visit. There was also a waflle iron available, and there was an attendant ensuring everything was kept up and food replenished. There is an on-site restaurabt and bar called Moe's, where colleagues and I had a beer and dinner the night before. I didn't take photos, but I enjoyed grilled shrimp with polenta cakes with a mushroom sauce. Service was good. The dining room and bar were dark with dark colors, so maybe an update with lighter colors and better lighting would add some life and a better atmosphere. Overall, I was very happy with my stay, and I thought it was a great value! I would stay here again and recommend it.
