Located next to the Short Hills Mall you can walk to the mall. Excellent service and friendly staff and has the best Breakfast Buffet that I have ever seen in a Hotel. I highly recommend having the breakfast it is pricey but totally worth it. You can self park for a fee or valid parking for an extra higher fee. I highly recommend this Hotel very clean and professional

Disgusting mattress people pay to sleep on

Very expensive hotel. Not so clean though. Hallways need to be vacuumed. I travel a lot and always check for bed bugs before I unpack. This room on had a mattress that clearly had signs of bed bugs. Blood stains are a sure sign even if you don't see bugs. I asked for a different room and they made me wait to speak to a manager instead of just giving me another room. Too expensive to not change out a disgusting mattress. Do better!

How does that look to you?

Bad customer service no one notified us that we going to be charged $24 per night per parking also the building look like an office building is that supposed to be in hotel or an office?

James is AMAZING!! After helping figure out a mix up I did when booking this room for my nieces birthday slumber party. We were lucky enough to meet him in person upon check in. So sweet an attentive to us. As we entered our room, my niece was SUPERRRR excited that James had left us chocolate covered strawberries and a happy birthday card from him and the wonder staff here at the SH Hilton. My niece loved the pool and the bed was extra bouncy as she said for a few slumber party jumps!! Will DEF book again in the summer to use outdoor pool and enjoy beautiful hotel again. Thank you James as well as Heather for making our slumber party as she said.. "the best one everrrr!!!"

If you self Park, there's an entrance to the hotel from the garage

Was here for a weekend for a wedding and had a nice time. I liked the underground parking with easy access to the hotel. It was a little cold when we checked in so that made it nice. Check in was fast and friendly. Our room was huge! It was very clean and comfortable as well and everything worked. Bathroom was nice (although looked like something from the 1980's with green marble) with good water pressure and fluffy towels. I will note that the facilities are in good shape overall, but the entire hotel is designed in a style that I can most generously describe as "what I think a rich person's style would be, by someone who is not rich" circa 1988. It probably looked good when it was first designed but it's a little bit dated now. Waaayyy too much brass (although that would please the lady on "Windy City Rehab") The gym is nice and very large. There is also a beautiful indoor pool and jacuzzi. We used those on a Sunday morning and they were blissfully uncrowded. The event facilities were very nice. We really enjoyed the wedding and the reception. Location across from the Short Hills Mall is nice. It took four minutes to walk to Macy's. As a Diamond member, it is kind of chintzy that my "reward" for being Diamond was two bottles of water. That was it. The other thing I didn't like (and this is a Hilton issue, not this specific location) is that AGAIN, digital checkout didn't work. I got a push notification from my Hilton app that said "you can check out now" and as I was ready to check out, I clicked "check out" and then got a message that said "please stop by the front desk". So, instead of just clicking and heading out, I had to go by the front desk where the clerk just took my keys and said "you're all set". Marriott, with their Bonvoy app, which I think everyone can agree is awful, can get this right. Why can't Hilton? It's so frustrating to not be able to use the technology on a consistent basis. Sorry about that side rant. Overall, I liked this place.

Trojan box - really?!

I stayed here this past weekend (9/22/2023) and I could not have been happier with my stay!…read more I grew up in Summit but had never actually been inside of the hotel. I have no family left in this part of NJ, so when I needed to book lodging for a wedding, this hotel was a great choice! I'll get the ding out of the way first. The hotel is under construction, so the atrium, the Hat Tavern, and several other areas of the hotel are closed. In addition, there was construction noise, although it was not terrible. The construction and lack of access to several of the amenities was not disclosed on the hotel's website. I still would have booked my stay here; it just would have been nice to know about it ahead of time, especially as it was a rainy weekend so access to the Hat Tavern would have saved a lot of getting rained on! The future plans for the hotel sound really exciting - a private dining club, a Turkish hammam and spa. Our room had already been renovated and was a huge upgrade from the photos on their website. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had great pressure. The bed was extremely comfortable as well! I definitely had a hard time getting up every morning! The included breakfast (7AM- 10AM) was extensive and very much welcome, especially given the weather. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful! On our day of departure, our flight was not until 7:30PM. They gave us late check out (1PM) and stored our bags so we could be mobile. We had a leftover bottle of champagne (what?!). When we returned to the hotel after our rainy adventures with an hour or so to kill before heading to the airport, the woman at the front desk got us an ice bucket and some glasses so we could sit in the lobby and enjoy the smooth jazz on the sound system. It was a super relaxing way to spend our last hour in NJ before the horror of the airport.

Natalie at Reservations was especially outstanding--friendly, outgoing, extremely knowledgeable, and very understanding. Her helpful attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. I was also very impressed with how clean the rooms were. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I had one of the best nights of sleep I've had in a long time. I truly have nothing but positive things to say about my stay. The management team also deserves recognition, particularly Assistant Manager Anzio Rezende, who went well beyond the scope of their role to ensure I was properly assisted. This level of genuine, thoughtful customer service is rare and simply cannot be replaced by technology or AI. ---

The rooms are cramped, and the fixtures, finishes and furniture in the rooms and the common spaces (corridors, lobby, "lounge", stairs, elevators) are all dated & worn. I noted more Code Violations (Fire & Life Safety) than I could count. Fire Doors propped open (all of them...), corridor ceilings 6" lower than even the most lax Codes would allow, handrails and guardrails noncompliant, it should be shut-down and renovated. And, the bathroom had holes in the walls and bathtub. I had brought a bottle of Champagne for my wife and I to share (not that there was anything left to celebrate in the run-down place...), so I walked all the way back to the "Lounge" (itself a joke), and asked the Bartender for two glasses. He smiled, and handed me two little plastic cups. I could see the actual glasses behind him. I reminded him that I had asked for "Glasses", and he smiled and pushed the plastic cups at me. "Here", he said. "These are not Glasses, they are Cups..." I responded. "That's what you get." He said. "No, this is not appropriate." I responded. He shrugged and turned his back to me. That pretty much sums up what it's like here. Avoid it, stay at the Hilton. At least they have a brand and reputation to maintain. This place is a dump. Avoid at all cost.

It's very spacious with plenty of room and a mini kitchen. The place seems clean and priced well enough for an extended stay. There's a couple restaurants close by to where you can walk. It makes absolutely no sense at all since most food items is packaged in plastic. The only downfall I would say about staying here is, the complementary breakfast is pretty bad.
