I saw how clean and comfortable her room was, so I felt confident about my decision to check-in. The hotel staff is really efficient and the rooms are great enough to live in temporarily if necessary. A standard room comes equipped with a dishwasher, dishes and glasses and utensils. The living room area is nicely designed. My bed was sooo comfortable. Slept like a baby. I really felt "at home." The hotel has a laundry room and gym in the same section. I was able to wash my clothes and hit the treadmill while everything was in the dryer. Detergent and fabric softener are complimentary. There's also free coffee in the lobby-fresh coffee. I actually stayed for two nights. If I'm hanging out in that part of Jersey again, I'll stay at this Hilton brand hotel and I'm getting in some time at the swimming pool.

I go inside to check in the computers are down, understandable. Then inside of the building the lights were flashing on and off (scary). My family and I waited about an hour just for them to put us in a room (still can't check in everything down). The room had NO LIGHTS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THAT FRIDAY NIGHT. I reach out to the manager numerous times, until I finally got an answer . I explain to him the inconvenience it was for not having any light etc. I was then told since I booked through a third party as far as any refunds it would have to be through them. I explained to him Expedia informed me to reach out to the hotel and they were in charge of making things right. They didn't have the common courtesy to see this was a big issue, and huge inconvenience and they didn't want to make it right . Mind you there are mini refrigerators there and I had food that needed to be refrigerated. Being the lights were gone that was impossible so I had to throw away my family and I food. It was just a horrible experience to say the least . DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

We wanted to sit in the lobby, but there was trash at the fireplace. The lobby was unclean ie the couch, table, fireplace area. There was no coffee or cream in our room. It took 40 minutes for them to come up. They brought cream and sugar and no coffee. We called the front desk twice to rectify this issue. There was a phone in the room that did not work and no phone cord, which is a huge safety issue. There was yelling and slamming doors at 6am outside of our room in the hallway. There was also no body soap in the shower, when we showered this morning. We will not be returning, as this was another disappointing stay.

Wonderful Bridal Shower…read more The Archer Hotel was the perfect spot for my daughter's bridal shower. We had the luxury of having the AKB restaurant and bar area to ourselves. The food was excellent! The service was attentive but needed to be more accessible to the guests with their orders, and serving water. Plus telling guests about coffee, desserts, and cappuccino (which was forgotten). I still gave them five star for their efforts. But wanted to mention these things for the next party. Our recent stay was a glaring reminder of the importance of a good mattress and, in turn, a good…read morenight's sleep, when it comes to travel lodging. Basically, I would have rated this place higher if it weren't for the impossibly firm mattress. The neck stiffness, sore back, and energy-sapping deep fatigue after sleeping one night on one of their mattresses had me in low energy for several days after the stay, and it took me that long to fully recover. Something else that contributed to the poor sleep was the lack of extra blanket. This has rarely been an issue because many lodgings use enough layers so that we usually end up peeling one or two layers off. So, the constant tossing and turning from the firm mattress and chill during the night really took a toll. This is such a shame because I liked many aspects of the stay. The place was nice and quiet, reasonably clean, well appointed, and the staff were friendly and helpful (as long as they were available, since we waited 10-15 minutes to check in and the number we were to dial for service led us nowhere because it ended up ringing the unattended registration desk). I hope they work out the kinks. For next time, I would think twice about staying here again.

As soon as I got there, I was told I can't check in early so I drove there for nothing. This time I booked 2 nights just to work there the whole day. THANK GOD i didn't have to sleep there. Its absolutely filthy. There was some sort of bug dead on the kitchen counter to greet me. His buddy the roach came to welcome me as well. I'm not even sure this room was cleaned before I got there. On top of that the wifi kept going out. The positives : The staff is friendly, the room was cheaper than most and allowed my dog.

This made it difficult to shower or use bathroom. I called the front desk multiple times and they had no solution and no reason for it. Stayed here one night and the next morning it was not fixed so had to take a cold shower. They still did not have a solution so I had to leave the hotel. I wish they were honest with me but it was ridiculous. Terrible experience and so I checked in across the street at the Archer. Much better experience.

I was on the 3rd floor and had easy access with the stairs and elevator. Lots of different entrances to get into the hotel but all key card accessible only so it's safe. Room was smaller but clean. Had a king bed with a large sofa. The TV doesn't really face the bed which was weird. Bathroom was clean and shower was clean. Water tasted weird out of the sink when brushing teeth. Im not sure my air worked I wanted to put it on but the buttons didn't work, but it was a comfortable temp without. It was a tad loud, you can hear trains and cars on route 10. Things echo on the hallway as they do in most hotels. I could hear my neighbor cough through the walls. I only stayed two nights so nothing was cleaned from housekeeping but I didn't really need it. Overall in a pinch this was perfect for what I needed.

Thankfully I woke up to the sound when it was happening and confronted the guy before he could get in. SO all of that happens, I'm rightfully shaken up and running on a couple hours of sleep a few hours later, not a single employee is to be found when we go to check out other than a cashier for the market in the lobby. Cool, no big deal. I get the email and number of the person directly above the one that tried entering our room because I want an explanation. Since then, this manager Maegan Gundry will not call me back, will not answer my email, will not give me any sort of apology or explanation as to why and how this happened. Mistakes happen but when you intentionally ignore a major breach of safety and privacy that leads me to believe there are more sinister reasons behind why I'm not being given an explanation. I'm not one to jump to conclusions but given the way this manager has dealt with this (or rather lack of) tells me that this probably wasn't an accident in the first place. Stay far far away from this hotel if you need a place in the area.
