The hotel is old; the latest updates seemed like they were from 10-20 years ago. If you stand near the window, you can feel cold air seeping through the cracks (1 star off). The staff is friendly, but no one brings up anything if you need anything. I got a paper cut and needed a Band-Aid, and was told to go down to the front desk to get it myself. I guess it was a good thing that I did not have a more severe injury? I am not a prima donna, so that was fine. Cleaning crew turns down the thermostat to 64F after servicing your room. I guess they don't know that the windows are seeping cold air and guests want the thermostat up. They really should not be adjusting the room temperature during cleaning though. If you are looking for a no-frills hotel in the area, this is a good choice.

We worked primarily with KeriAnn to help coordinate for the weekend of our wedding and she was so thorough and detail oriented. She was incredibly communicative and made sure we went through all the nuances of our wedding weekend with a fine toothed comb. The rooms themselves were beautiful, clean, modern & spacious. We used Gathering Room 1 & 2 the day of the wedding for myself & the bridal party to get ready in with the hair and makeup artists which was more than enough space to accommodate everyone. We were able to access the space early in the morning and the hotel even provided a complimentary hotel room next door for us to use to store our stuff, use the restroom and take photos in. The staff was great about passing out hotel room bags to our guests, putting together signage for our shuttle, and trying their best to accommodate early check-ins when they could. We opted to have an after party and were able to keep the bar open that was private for just our guests which was the best way to end the night with our family & friends. Raj was an incredibly attentive & friendly bartender. We had nothing but a positive experience here and will continue to recommend it to other couples who may be looking for a room block for their wedding weekends!

1-Star Review for Hampton Inn & Suites, Parsippany, NJ…read more We had a shocking and deeply upsetting experience at this hotel with our two kids -- one of whom is autistic. We had stayed here just two days earlier with no issues, but this time, a rude and unprofessional front desk woman unfairly accused us of causing a problem simply because our autistic child didn't have shoes on at check-in. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, she escalated the situation by calling the police on us -- even though we did absolutely nothing wrong. To make things worse, she contacted corporate, and without investigating or even listening to our side, corporate backed her actions and refused to let us check into the room we had already paid for. This entire experience was humiliating, discriminatory, and traumatic for our child. Families with special needs deserve compassion -- not judgment and false accusations. Hampton Inn corporate should be ashamed for how this was handled. If you value decency, empathy, and respect, stay far away from this hotel.

Initially had an accessible room to accommodate my partner's needs but she wanted a better room to what she seen online when booked. Room was larger with a nice outside view of pool area, and thunderstorms as they passed during the evening. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Shower head was a bit funky but manageable. Lifeguard was very generous in assisting us when we went out. Building looks older than it looks but is certainly built to catch an eye.

Meh more like 2.5 stars! This hotel has always stood out to…read moreme because it looks exactly like a castle. After passing by it for years, we finally decided to book a 24-hour stay to see what it was like. The outside really does give off that fairytale castle vibe, but once inside, the magic fades. The property is huge and extremely busy--the lobby felt more like Grand Central Station than a relaxing getaway, which was a little overwhelming. They even had a security guard walking around the lobby, which felt a bit unusual. On the plus side, the hotel has lots of parking and is conveniently located right off the highway, so it's easy to get to. They also have both an indoor and outdoor pool, though we didn't have time to check them out. Our room was clean and spacious with a nice view, and the bed was comfortable. However, everything else felt very dated, as if it hasn't been refreshed since the early -2000s. The mini-fridge alone looked at least 15 years old. For such a large room, the bathroom was extremely small, with the sink, toilet, tub, and shower all crammed into the same space. They still use a shower curtain, and while they do provide toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and soap), the setup felt more budget-level than "castle." The closet also didn't have any extra blankets or pillows, which was disappointing given the size of the property. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs (steak, fries, chicken Caesar salad, and two drinks). The food was decent--not bad, but nothing memorable. We did end up moving seats because there was a noticeable gnat issue near the bar, which wasn't ideal. Check-in and check-out were both smooth, but we were a bit annoyed when housekeeping knocked at 9 a.m. on our departure day to ask when we'd be leaving. Overall, this hotel has so much potential. The exterior is beautiful and inviting, but the inside doesn't live up to the castle charm. It's in serious need of updates, and for the price, it doesn't quite deliver on luxury or relaxation. If you're looking for a busy, castle-themed stay that's easy to get to and offers pools and parking, it might work for you. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere until renovations are made.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany has serious heating/cooling problems and you need to be aware of that before booking here. Came here for an event and left with one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany is easy to access and has plenty of parking, but you do have to pay for parking. I want to say this before I go further, the hotel staff were not really the problem here, it's the whole property as the building and rooms are out of date. Check-in went badly, as while they did have my reservation, they could not check me in even with downloading the app. Corporate helpdesk even had problems when the employees called about my reservation. Basically, my reservation had to be deleted and remade, and this whole process from start to finish took around an hour, and it was frustrating. The interior of this hotel is iconic. The atrium is full of trees, plants, fountains, and stone walkways. It is very visually appealing, and I cannot stress that enough, with a large amount of natural light coming in from all the windows. This design caused one of the biggest problems of the weekend sadly, as the heating/cooling plant could not keep up with the high temperature's outside. The interior of this hotel was shockingly warm all weekend, and very much affected our event experience. On top of that, the pool was closed for renovations, so you couldn't even go for a swim to cool off. For the rooms, they were suites with a nice amount of square footage. The beds were comfortable, but the whole room looked like it had not been upgraded in roughly a decade based on the wear and tear and what TVs are provided. Room did come with a larger mini-fridge and microwave. Because of the oppressive heat outside, our rooms heating/cooling basically did not work all weekend, making it uncomfortable. The bathroom due to its design and shower curtain could easily flood the floor. Our mini-fridge was dirty on the inside with some sort of spill I cleaned up using disinfectant I brought along. One sink had major calcium deposit that I could not remove. It was also dark in the room unless you opened both the atrium facing and outside facing curtains. Our room was disappointing for the most part due to the heat. The complimentary breakfast was ok, with eggs, sausage, potatoes, various grains, pastries, coffee, juice, soda, and an omelet bar. Event space is somewhat limited depending on your needs, and you might have to be creative with setups. Overall, this hotel was massively disappointing and I cannot recommend staying here at the $150-$200 price point. The iconic look of the atrium is the only reason to stay here and you should otherwise avoid the Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany unless absolutely necessary.

Sure, the wood and the furniture was dark, which some people believe is outdated, but the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in during the last year, and I've slept in a lot. The lobby area also was attractive. On the negative side, I arrived late on a Saturday night, so all of the parking spaces near the hotel entrance were full. The spot I ended up in was closer to a neighboring hotel than to the Hilton. Worse, it slipped my notice that parking was not included in my booking, so that was another $20/night. It felt a little insulting to be entering my credit card info into an app while sitting in my car late at night a good distance from the hotel. The floor plan was confusing, too, and there didn't seem to be enough elevators for a hotel this large. Overall, factoring in the parking, I paid a reasonable rate for my stay, and I was very pleased with my room, but this won't be my go-to hotel in northern NJ.

The entire hotel feels distinctly dated, with tired decor and worn-out furniture that is literally falling apart. Rooms & Housekeeping Bedding: The beds are made using flat sheets instead of fitted bottom sheets, meaning the bottom sheet pops off and bunches up every time you move, causing the bed to come undone throughout the night. Climate Control: The air conditioning unit is excessively loud, constantly cycling on and off and waking you up throughout the night. Housekeeping: Housekeeping was consistently delayed. Rooms were left uncleaned until I specifically went to complain at 4:00 PM each day. Dining & Amenities Coffee Shop: The on-site Starbucks shop does not carry decaf coffee and refuses to accept the official Starbucks app for payment. Dining Options: There is no standard hotel restaurant or casual dining option on-site. The only option is an attached Ruth's Chris Steak House, forcing guests to pay exorbitant prices just to get a basic meal. This property is desperately in need of a complete renovation and a major overhaul in management. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

The biggest issue was my room's air conditioning. The unit was extremely loud, and despite running constantly, it never actually blew cold air. Before checking in, I specifically asked the front desk attendant whether the AC was working properly, and I was assured that it was. That clearly wasn't the case. I chose not to complain during my stay and simply toughed it out, but a comfortable room is a basic expectation -- especially when you're traveling for work and need proper rest. Being told everything was fine, only to deal with a noisy, ineffective unit all night, was frustrating. I won't be returning to this location, and I'd encourage the hotel to take a closer look at both its room maintenance and the accuracy of the information its staff provides to guests.
