Truly the best staff. The maintenance crew is extremely fast to respond. The operations manager Pablo runs a tight ship.

Upon check in the staff was so so, as they could have been more pleasant. At one point I said hi to a front desk employee and he looked and didn't say anything in response. My room was very clean and refreshing with a decent view. The bar staff was very friendly and they offered a nice array of drinks, they were very refreshing and delicious. They offered breakfast and dinner service, at a fee. The hotel was very convenient to alot of restaurants, stores and the airport. I would stay again, besides some of the unpleasant staff.

Breakfast is available but wasn't included with my room. That said, they had complimentary coffee and Happy Hour specials at the Bar. My King Bed Room was a good size. A microwave in addition to the mini fridge and safe was a nice touch. I liked the Shower sliding doors vs curtains. Fitness room had all the Cardio equipment as well a weight station and Dumbbells. Indoor pool was more for the kids vs for Laps. Parking is free. A good selection of stores and restaurants nearby. Check-in was easy/quick and I got lucky and was able to check-in early (11:30) on a Friday. Service was friendly and upbeat. Great option close to Newark (EWR) and will stay here again.

I had never been to this hotel before, but my family and I were staying there for a weekend trip…read morenear Newark. The lobby was clean and had a pleasant smell. Our room was decent, but it felt a bit dirty, and the shower was even worse. There was rust around the drain, which made the shower look and feel unhygienic; it needs to be cleaned or repaired. We had breakfast the next morning, and while the food was acceptable, I would recommend going to a local breakfast spot instead. Overall, I would suggest staying here, especially if you need to catch a flight to Newark.

This hotel has FINALLY finished its much needed renovation (I almost fell through the bathroom…read morefloor the last time I stayed there). You've heard the expression "lipstick on a pig"? In this case they should have tried covering both lips. They did the minimum of refreshing the hallways and common areas with new carpeting, wallpaper and paint. However, they seem to have given up where the rooms are concerned. Again, they replaced the horrible carpeting, the torn curtains and re-wallpapered the bathrooms. But that's about it. They left the old, dark, broken furniture. They left the old lamps with all the torn and dirty lamp shades. They left the Salvation Army thrift store bedding (where on earth do they even get that stuff?). They left the beat up old refrigerators, the crummy old dishes and miscellaneous unmatched silverware and pots and pans. The floor tiles in the kitchen and bathroom still are broken and in desperate need of re-grouting. They even left the broken, rusted toilet paper holders (and wallpapered around them). I guess they did the minimum necessary to satisfy the insurance companies that house displaced customers there (which is most of their business) and - rumor has it - threatened to move their business because the conditions were so bad. Oh, and they did nothing to change the awful service. This renovation is in need of a renovation!

Maybe part of It is just the general area. Location is convenient to the airport. Area of hotel seems nice itself even though the hilly location on the side is juxtaposed in a manner that make it a bit hard to find. It is a suburban location that can be tricky to get around without paying the toll roads galore around. The tolls make me have a squishy feeling in an already dense area. The general region seems like a mix of nice suburban life and working class. Hotel is great for park and fly as I would've had to pay about the same parking as doing park and fly since I was away long enough. Probably a hotel I would not choose due to price on my Own but it is reasonable for the area and what the offer. Great TV options and classy bathroom accessories. Fridge and microwave and love seat in my room- I did not expect that. Tried the fitness center. No sanitizing wipes available. Most guests here definitely don't come for this but I pushed myself to use this to be a bit active. They have these universal weight dumbbells that works well within this hotel setting.

The rooms are cramped, and the fixtures, finishes and furniture in the rooms and the common spaces (corridors, lobby, "lounge", stairs, elevators) are all dated & worn. I noted more Code Violations (Fire & Life Safety) than I could count. Fire Doors propped open (all of them...), corridor ceilings 6" lower than even the most lax Codes would allow, handrails and guardrails noncompliant, it should be shut-down and renovated. And, the bathroom had holes in the walls and bathtub. I had brought a bottle of Champagne for my wife and I to share (not that there was anything left to celebrate in the run-down place...), so I walked all the way back to the "Lounge" (itself a joke), and asked the Bartender for two glasses. He smiled, and handed me two little plastic cups. I could see the actual glasses behind him. I reminded him that I had asked for "Glasses", and he smiled and pushed the plastic cups at me. "Here", he said. "These are not Glasses, they are Cups..." I responded. "That's what you get." He said. "No, this is not appropriate." I responded. He shrugged and turned his back to me. That pretty much sums up what it's like here. Avoid it, stay at the Hilton. At least they have a brand and reputation to maintain. This place is a dump. Avoid at all cost.

Staff was friendly. 1 star off: Even though the hotel is located in a residential area, there was still quite a bit of street noise. The walls were thin and either construction noise or a neighbor's alarm woke me up every morning. Breakfast was included. There was a Starbucks conveniently located right in the lobby, i.e. you can roll out of bed and get a coffee without putting on the whole gear to go outside in the cold. Happy hour occurs every afternoon, and upon check-in, I was given a few drink tickets. I didn't end up using them, but it was a nice add-on.

Complimentary hospitality hour with adult beverages and snacks (be sure get a ticket at the desk if you check-in on the app), large spacious rooms and bathrooms with modern updates! I love the proximity of this hotel to the Newark airport (around 25 minutes away). I also love that there is a Starbucks and restaurant (grain and cane) downstairs for convenience. I took advantage of both for an evening beverage (they Starbucks closes at 6pm) and dinner. This hotel is located in a quiet business area and I love that there is ample free lot parking which I've found to be quite rare with Jersey hotels! The front desk staff are very nice and even took the time to ask how my dinner was! This also seemed to be a very popular wedding guest hotel based on large groups I saw checking in and wedding guest gifts behind the desk. I'll be sure to consider this hotel as an option next time I'm in the area, especially before a flight out of EWR.
