Went to a conference here. They have decent sized conference halls. They had 2 different ones going on at the same time. They also have a pretty decent bathroom set up. I like how modern it looked. I can't speak for staying the night here, however. The food was slightly disappointing. While, I know it was the package the sponsoring company provided, I really felt like some of the apps were just microwaved appetizers. The people coming around with apps were pretty awesome. The selection of stationary apps included cake pops, guac (which was delicious), hummus, chips, and pita bread. read more

Paying for parking at this hotel is absurd. I've stayed here for years -- even during COVID -- and now guests are being charged $15 per day on top of already high nightly rates. What's worse is that this fee was never communicated at check-in. It honestly gives the impression that the hotel staff and the private parking company are working together to trap guests into getting ticketed, booted, or towed. The sad part is that ownership allowed a third-party parking company to take over something that used to be part of the guest experience. Longtime loyal guests deserve better communication and better treatment. read more

We had a 45+ room block for our daughter's wedding on March 14. Ten days prior to the event we're told 25 rooms are being bumped to a different Marriott hotel because another group decided to extend its stay. Those moved had their rooms comped, which was generous, but this should have never happened. Why I would ever trust this hotel again with a group event? read more

A wedding brought me here for what felt like a glamorous staycation in my own town! I loved: -Incredibly comfortable beds! I felt like I was swallowed whole and I seriously wanted to just spend the whole day in bed. -The bathrooms were big with a lot of counter space. Perfect for two people that need to get ready at the same time. -The downstairs bar area was fantastic by night for after party drinks, by day for a quick drink and snack (get the hummus and the parm fries!!) and everything in between. -Tons of parking. The one thing I looked for and couldn't find were big cozy robes. It was still a perfect stay, but when my room is freezing (from my perfect night's sleep) a big cozy robe was much needed by day. But even without the big comfy robes, it was just a very good, very comfortable stay and I would recommend it to anyone that needed a room for whatever reason. read more

Bar does not open till 4:30PM , no food available until that time as well!!!!! Dining in the evening is beyond a joke, food was edible, service was something of a SNL skit . My family stayed there 12/20- 12/24 , they were visiting from Virginia, so sorry for there experience. How do you even imagine , no bar service or food until 4:30pm. Breakfast is an option but the Marriott needs to step it up for at least opening the bar by 12noon and serving food at the bar. I could not recommend this place. read more

Over the last year, I've stayed here on numerous occasions and prefer this location over other Marriott branded hotels for a few reasons... It is quiet. Despite being in a fairly busy area, I tend to get a good night sleep here. This includes sleeping during the day when I've occasionally had to work overnight. It is near some retail spots I like to hit. I've not gone to the local mall, but it's right across the street from a Starbucks and a Shake Shack which is a win for me. They have 4 elevators that are fast and you rarely have to wait. The toiletries are fine, but like a lot of hotels these days I find the towels to be like sandpaper. All that said, when the price is right this is my spot to stay as a Titanium Elite member - better than all of the alternatives including the more trendy AC Hotel down the street. read more

Let me preface by stating that I'm a total hotel snob. Not many places are up to my standards. The Bridgewater Marriott, is unfortunately, no exception. It's not a bad spot, but the rooms are in dire need of a upgrade. I was notified by the manager who let me know that they were in the process of renovating the rooms which made me really happy. Because the lobby, service, etc. are nice. Check in was with a smile and very friendly. Service at the restaurant was quick and very pleasant as well. Just the rooms... circa 1999, maybe? Bathroom sink leaked onto the floor whenever it was use. Carpeting was very "used". And the rest of the room was a about the same. Bed was "dimpled".. and not that comfy. But.... I would return for a fresh room, for sure. read more

Frontdesk staff are rude. Even a bellman gave an ugly look upon giving $5 tip to bring luggage cart to room. They won't give you a luggage cart to take it yourself. In rooms NO LOTION, NO LOUNGE on 8th Floor. The staff treated TITANIUM members sonBAD THEN what about regular Guests? According to yelp 3.5 ratings is way too high. I had an excellent stay here for 2 nights and would stay here again. I do prefer hotels that have a quality breakfast included to get the day started--I only stayed here because I got a very good deal. The rooms are nice, clean, full size. Comfortable bed excellent soaps and shampoos. Large easy parking. Staff very fast and accommodating with my requests. The hotel is in an upscale area across from upscale shopping, a large mall, and Starbucks, Chipolte. The lobby and the bar/lounge is excellent. On the Saturday night I was there, the bar/lounge was packed, music playing, real happening with double Wedding guests partying the night away. It seemed like the whole town was at the Marriott. The next night, Sunday--it was completely empty and so was the parking lot. Where did everyone go? There is no reason not to stay here other than the cost. But I think your satisfaction on the stay is going to be related to how much you pay for a room. In 2019 prices, if you pay 100 or less, you will be jumping for joy--doing the happy dance. If you pay between 100 and 150 you will satisfied. If you pay between 150 and 200, you will thinking about it the entire stay but will say to yourself, after you pay the credit card bill you will forget about it. If you pay more than 200: You will be grumpy for a while but a few months later you will forget about it. If you pay more than 250, you will be writing a nasty-gram to the owner. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. They had no heating at all and that is the Hotel policy during this time of the year (I stayed from Sept. 13 till Sept. 20). They do NOT issue refunds. A live BUG WAS FOUND IN my bed. They did not compensate at all for the inconvenience. They REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE INCIDENT REPORT. The bedroom did not have any item you need unless you ask for that. You have to ask for that. THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL I EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE. The lunchroom had spider webs on the interior windows. See attached photos. One of the the managers with last name that starts with letter "A" was really rude and very unhelpful rushing me out saying "I have to go". This hotel is a joke junk place. This place will not allow me to attach the photo with the spider web in the lunch room. I tried to talk to the General Manager of this hotel Mr. Duarte and I was never able to find him available to talk about this issues. Really nice place to stay. Was here for a conference late in the year. Clean neighborhood with several eating places across the street. Bar restaurant downstairs in hotel is good, but they ran out of chicken wings? How can you run out with that basic food? Breakfast buffet is adequate entrees could be kept warmer somehow. Cold eggs or burritos aren't that appetizing. Everything I listed before this is 4* level but the reason for the 5* rating is the following. Best exercise room I've seen ever at a hotel! Ever! 2 Pelotons, lots of treadmills and cardio stuff, even has a yoga video area that walks you through a complete workout. Maybe a few more heavier weights would be good, heaviest dumbell was 50lbs. Even had sparkling water from the fountain! Carpet in rooms look a bit weird to me, don't think it matches the high end level of hotel. Wifi is trouble free and quick enough for everything, even streaming of movies. read more

This is a very nice Marriott! Very impressed, truthfully. Came here for a wedding in the area and decided to stay overnight - our room rate was discounted because of the wedding block (always a plus), and we paid around $150/night. The lobby area was beautiful - plenty of seating available in their bar/restaurant which was nice. We came down for a drink before the wedding - the drinks were delicious (and strong!). The room itself was clean and pretty big (5 points for suburbia!) The TV allows you to sign into Netflix which is super adorable, and plenty of USB charging ports throughout the room. The bathroom has a HUGE mirror which was great for getting ready and having to share space. Bed was comfy and large - I believe it was a king; the only downside was that the pillows were SUPER mushy. Overall, I'd be more than happy to stay here again if I needed to! *Also, because I'm a brainless person, I left my curling iron there by accident. I called the housekeeping supervisor and left a message - already planning to buy a replacement because I figured I'd never hear back. I received a phone call back the SAME DAY, letting me know they would hold onto it for me and to just give them a heads up when I was coming in to pick it up. So nice! read more

I dont normally review hotels, but I have some time to kill while I'm staying here! Just stayed here 1 night for a rehearsal dinner nearby. Our wedding party had a block of rooms so I had a good opportunity to see multiple rooms. After visiting 6 different rooms where my friends and family were staying, 5/6 were adequate and 1 needed to be changed due to an extremely pungent sulfur odor emanating from the bathroom pipes. Rooms were overall very modern and clean. There's a bar/restaurant on the lobby level. I had a drink at the bar which was a little pricey, but what do you expect at a hotel bar. You may be better off walking across the street to the outdoor mall where there are multiple restaurants. read more

I've stayed at the Bridgewater Marriott twice this year, and thoroughly enjoyed both of my stays! This hotel seems, in my opinion, a little pricier than other Marriotts, however it ranks in my top 5 Marriott properties I've stayed at... and I've stayed at a lot! The hotel itself is in very good shape, and overall clean. The rooms feel modern and comfortable, plus they're clean. The service was quite good from every person I encountered on both stays, always a warm smile and helpful attitude! The front desk made a point to recognize my Marriott Bonvoy status both times. The second time they even noticed my previous stay with them, and offered me a friendly and warm "Welcome back!". Breakfast was buffet style, and was definitely one of the better ones I've had with Marriott, I would even say offerings might've changed slightly between both stays which is nice to know they change it up once in a while. As I said previously, it does feel a bit pricey compared to other Marriott properties I've stayed at, but it's all the little things that add up and made for two fantastic stays! I will definitely be staying again next time I find myself traveling to Bridgewater. read more

I stayed here for a business conference. I have traveled both professionally and personally for decades and have stayed at Marriott properties many times before. I decided to get to the room to do some work and eat a burger from room service. I phoned the new "fresh bites" branded room service to order. I was told That they charge a "delivery fee". Unbelievable. To pay to stay at the property, pay a premium for Food and beverages and then charged a fee for delivery and told it is customary is unacceptable. read more

I came here for a business meeting-conference. The hotel is beautiful and easily accessible. The room was large and there was cute water containers and glasses ready. All of the tech stuff worked great, forgot a cord and the IT guy brought me one. We also had lunch in the restaurant downstairs. Was a bit expensive, but delicious. The caprice salad tasty. The shower seemed to have new shampoo conditioner and body wash pump bottles that are preinstalled in the shower. (It clearly was new because I had to pump several times for product to come out ) I really love the way everything was modern and comfortable . Beautiful hotel with plenty of eateries in walking distance. Clean room and helpful friendly staff. As we were greeted by them and they were EXTREMELY HELPFUL. Good accommodations there is only a refrigerator in the room. But they have a coffee maker so that makes it a little better I suppose. Anything relative important shopping wise you need is within ten minutes. read more

The hotel is best in branchburg/Bridgewater area. The food in the lounge is good although it's the same menu repeated every week. The breakfast needs little more improvement. I've not checked the renovated gym but I heard it's pretty cool. The staff is very professional and welcoming. Housekeeping very rare does a lousy job. The on-site restaurant is a good place to hang out with friend/colleagues in evening and have nice options. The market around has few options too and there is a mall nearby. I like to stay at this place on most of my business visits and will continue to do so although I've never got any complimentary upgrades. read more

Pretty good 5 day stay here at this Marriott big popular mall across the street with tons of places to eat ..very convenient to major roads and highways to get into the city..1 hour away into Manhattan..quiet hotel as far as traffic and we were here but busy during the week and rates change $15 a night for on site parking like most places in the area. Only draw back it next to a major highway so you hear the traffic on that side of the building ..tried the sleep well channels they have to drown out noice but that didn't work lol ..wifi was good. Didn't try restaurant since I wanted NJ food!! Comfortable room ..polite good staff ..we will look at this property again for future vacations to NJ!! read more

Called this place to ask for availability after driving for 7 hours. It was 2am and the man who answered said they didn't have any rooms and to try somewhere else. When I looked online again it said they did have rooms so I called again and spoke to a different guy who said the first guy was just telling everyone that so he wouldn't have to check anymore people in, and that in fact they did have rooms available. Feeling so disrespected and frankly a little in shock at what I was just told I said forget it and I'd try a different hotel. Taking full advantage of people at their most vulnerable is disgusting and despicable. When my dad comes into town I try to book him a room because it's minutes from my house . Every time I check in the front desk staff is always super friendly and are quick to get you checked into your room. The rooms are always clean and spacious. They have some great amenities. Restaurant, in door pool and a gym. They are located just across from Maggianos restaurant and a few other eateries . They are also located just down the street from Bridgewater mall. They also cater parties and weddings. This is always my go to place to stay for a family member or even for myself when I have gotten ready for a few weddings here. read more

Overall, nice basic hotel rooms with an even nicer lobby / restaurant / bar in the middle of Bridgewater, NJ aka nowhere. I can't imagine why anyone would need to stay here (since there doesn't appear to be much in the area other than strip malls), but if you're going to be golfing or something equally uninteresting, you might as well stay here since this Marriott is conveniently located next to a mall (in case you forgot to bring a belt or need a giant Starbucks... or, as I am told by the locals, you need to get shot... by some other locals), the freeway, and some restaurants other than the hotel restaurant (diners, Seasons 52, and Maggiano's). Which brings me to another point: this place is perfect (oddly enough) for hosting wedding goers who are marrying at a local golf club: It's clean, has a decent lobby and restaurant (*cough cough* bar) for hanging out, and like I said, is conveniently placed between several golf courses and diners. While it might appear to some like this hotel is pretty dead (which may be true on the weekdays), over the weekends it and its bar/restaurant (open until midnight) literally comes alive with wedding groups, limos, and their (mostly drunken) guests. If this sounds like you or something in which you'll soon be partaking, I'd recommend getting a non-wedding-block room, as 1. The rooms are larger and tend to be on higher floors 2. The floors are quieter since there are quiet hours on some of the other floors (although one morning I was woken up by very loud EDM coming out of some limo outside to see a wedding off) 3. You can catch your breath away from guests attempting to pressure you into doing tequila shots A few other pluses to note: - Room and restaurant service is quite good and extremely quick - showers get nice and hot - beds are very comfortable and they have featherless rooms now, if you're like me and plagued with allergies - there's one of those 24 hour little shops in the lobby in case guests need a snack or toothpaste Negatives: - Spikey towels that might break your skin. We stayed here for a wedding this past weekend and every employee we interacted with - from checking in at the front desk, to the bartenders at the restaurant, to the breakfast buffet waiters, and especially the overnight staff - was absolutely incredible. We had such a great experience and can't speak highly enough about everyone there. The restaurant inside the hotel was fantastic. Really cute decor and the food was on point. This was our first trip since COVID all started. We spend 3 days in Providence and then 3 days in New Jersey. It was night and day between the Courtyard Marriott in Providence and the Bridgewater Marriott. The entire facility in Bridgewater is very well maintained. I didn't stay here over night but I was in one of the rooms and spent some time at the bar. (that sounds worse than it is, I swear) I attended a wedding near by and this was the main hotel for the guests, they were running a shuttle to and from which was nice. After the wedding we hit the bar at the hotel. It appeared as if there was either another wedding doing the same or they may have had their event at this hotel. So the bar was packed, full of wedding goers still keeping the party going. When the bride and groom from our wedding entered everyone was hooting and hollering even the people that were not at our event...I guess they just assumed and joined in haha. So much fun. Very Very nice bar, very nice bathrooms and the room I was in was nice as well. I really liked the carpeting. I would totally stay here. Our friends said their room was like $100 bucks. The family and I had a little staycation and booked a room for one night. Upon arrival, the check in was quick, easy, and the staff welcoming and friendly. The pool was a little chilly but still enjoyable. The outdoor patios and pools were clean and well kept. There was ample seating and the furniture near the fire pit area was comfy and modern. The rooms are modern and seem to have been renovated recently. The bathroom was clean and working, the shower was great. For a hotel, the gym was huge, and looked like it lots of current equipment, like the Peloton, kettlebells, medicine balls, and a punching bag. The restaurant was open though half of it was closed down. You could order food in the bar area where it was a little more lively. The bartenders and staff were very friendly, accommodating, and had great customer service. The pizza I ordered was just OK though. It seemed like they ran out of fresh mozz and filled the rest in with regular, shredded mozz cheese--it was odd. All in all, a great experience and hope this location keeps up the good work! read more

Ok so I travel a lot and Marriott is my preference. This property is a 5 star or a 3 depending on what you are looking for. What I mean is - it's a bit pricey ($219/night) with no breakfast amenities. Dining on site, bit expensive as well and the concierge level room was not open on the weekend. That said, the property is immaculate, the service is certainly a 4-5 star. if I was looking for a place to stay very nice, maybe night out with significant other - yep its the place. Looking for a place for a party/wedding/etc. - yep. if you are looking for an inexpensive place to crash - other local options might be better. Hope this helps ... read more

Breathtaking!! This Marriott is absolutely gorgeous. It's about 40 mins from the Newark Airport. Maggianos and Starbucks are directly across the street. The decor is exquisite in the lobby/bar area.
