We ordered the Bourbon chicken wings and steak and cheese egg roll weren't my favorite but the wings were good. If you go try the French 75. We both slept like babies our bed was very comfortable. First, the decor beautiful and everything is up to date and well-maintained. The big beds are really comfortable, the showers are clean and spacious and have good hot water and water pressure, the tub drains well, and the whole premises is safe and well-lit. The whole hotel is non-smoking. It's a very clean, very well kept up, and well-run hotel. The free Wi-Fi always worked. The locks could be connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth so I only had to press a button on an app on my phone to get into the building and unlock the door to my room. We had two big flat screen TVs with all the channels. There was a nice welcome message stating my Hilton membership status on the TV every time I checked in. A Target is across the parking lot and I loved that. It was so convenient. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. Derrick and his team did an amazing job, providing a delicious variety of fresh hot and cold food every day. The breakfast room has lots of plants and a high ceiling and enormous windows, and it just felt refreshing and invigorating to step in there every day. It had a good vibe. Due to my home being destroyed by water damage, my husband and were guests here for a full four months. I booked the hotel after comparing reviews for hotels around Westfield, NJ. The Fairfield Inn in Union wasn't available so I had to find an alternative. Comparing all the options, this Springhill Suites won out--even though I had stayed at some of the Marriot brand hotels in the past. Post COVID, I find the best quality and consistency on average at the Springhill Suites brand. It snowed the night before but the site was clear. I stopped at the front desk to get my key and was greated very warmly and provided with a welcome bag that included a bottle of water, a packed of baked cheddar goldfish, and a bag of Sahale Honey Almonds glaze mix. The hotel is nicely designed and well kept--very warm and welcoming. A large breakfast area and nice workout space. TWO elevators My room is very nice. Very comfortable bed. Very clean and nicely made. Nice TV, desk, well lit, clean and nicely layed out bathroom. They pay attention to detail even in the way the bath mat, wash cloth and towels are presented. All dispensers were full, shower had warm and hot water. Lotion provide also. I will definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately, the restaurant closes at 10 pm; the same time the pool closes. I either buy dinner really quickly ahead of time and make a run for it to the pool, which 2 men and myself closed the pool at 10:30. They should leave the pool open to at least 11 pm or so. I usually check in late after last minute booking, so I unwind a bit in my room. So, for a supposed 4 star hotel which doesn't compare to the Hyatt Regency Princeton, there's no room service. It's very challenging, because, the restaurant closes extremely early and the grill closes at 9:30 pm. It's ridiculous. I want to go swimming at that time. If they kept the grill on until a normal time that restaurants are open until about 11pm, then I could swim and eat my food hot. Anyway, I go there because I love the heated pool; which is not hot during the day until night time when it's perfectly heavenly at about 80 degrees. It would be expensive, but, it would be great if they could leave the heat on in the pool all night, but, I get that that's not a reality. The luxury beds are like sleeping on a cloud. I sleep great. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and if you are a great tipper, the staff really takes care of you. I was treated like a king. I'm a total foodie and breakfast is my jam. That's the few times I cheat on my allergies diet. Also, I can't drink the milk nor milk alternatives at this hotel. I'm allergic to dairy, nuts, and grains like oats. I suggested that they try a plant based milk alternative that tastes great like milk, is thick enough to put into coffee and cereal and I never bloat. It's called Ripple. I suggest the original formula. You can find it at any grocery store. One more complaint is the $100 incidental charge that is the only hotel that I've been aware of that takes 7-10 business days to release the hold on your bank account. My bank was not happy and told me to call them to release the hold after 2 business days. The hotel in general was very accommodating towards me and I took care of everyone for doing so. Also, I left the room very clean to make it easy for housekeeping. Also, the salmon tartare was inedible being that it was inappropriately cooked due to an ignorant chef; no offense. It's a raw appetizer. It's not supposed to be cooked. I've never been to a restaurant that got it so off. The burger got good reviews so I had that two nights in a row; a couple who had dinner there suggested other dishes that they felt were also tasty. I will try next time.

I had reserved a Concierge Level King room at the Crowne Plaza Princeton Conference Center. When I arrived, housekeeping was still putting the finishing touches on it. The front desk radioed upstairs for an update and received only silence in return. There followed a few minutes of small talk, awkward smiles, and the peculiar sort of waiting that seems to stretch time itself. Then Jennifer looked at me and said, "You've stayed with us before, haven't you?" I nodded. "You're Platinum Elite?" Another nod. She thought for a moment and said, "Let's put him in the Presidential Suite." There are moments in life when the universe decides to be unexpectedly generous, and this was one of them. Many years ago I lived in Plainsboro. My first apartment there was a modest one bedroom third floor walk up. This suite was larger, significantly so. There was a huge living room, a dining table that could comfortably seat six, a kitchen area with a bar, and a spacious bedroom with a king bed. Then there was the bathroom, which felt less like a bathroom and more like a monument to indoor plumbing. The shower featured multiple shower panels and a waterfall shower head to go along with the handheld one. It also thoughtfully included bench seating inside, because surely I wasn't the only one who had considered spending enough time in it that a rest was warranted. The tub was so large and deep that a person could probably spend an entire afternoon contemplating their place in the universe in it. The room was, in a word, amazing. The property itself sits on a huge wooded area with streams and a private lake, with walking trails winding through the grounds. During an early evening stroll I crossed paths with a deer, who seemed entirely unbothered by my presence. The hotel also offers a huge indoor lap pool, an enormous fitness center, squash courts, tennis courts, and an indoor basketball court. It feels less like a hotel recreation center and more like a small summer camp hidden away in the wings. What surprised me most was how complete the experience felt. The hotel is directly connected to a substantial conference center featuring dozens of meeting rooms and a large amphitheater. I spent the following day working a conference there, and the facility was exceellent. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for people who need to gather, learn, and occasionally drink too much coffee. I arrived expecting a nice business hotel room. I left after spending a night in a suite bigger than my first apartment, walking beside a lake, and wondering if Jennifer at the front desk had any idea how much joy she had created with one simple decision. The breakfast wasn't the fanciest I've ever seen, but we stayed over the holidays and I'm sure they were running on a skeleton crew. It was passable- one type of milk (2%- no skim, no whole), a few containers empty or nearly so (cereal, fruit). I'm really not going to complain about not getting my cantaloupe for one morning if the tradeoff is that whoever usually fills the cantaloupe bin is spending a national holiday with family. There is no tv in the breakfast area, so you can't watch the morning news, as I like to do. One hint: the grassy areas are not super clean. It's not clear where to take your dog when she needs a potty area, and people are clearly just using any grassy area- and not bothering to clean up after their pets. Unfortunately, I only discovered this AFTER my dog had walked through a pile of some other dog's poo, so I got to clean that off her paws. (And after I'd carefully cleaned up her own poo.) Merry Christmas I guess? It seems pretty obvious that you shouldn't leave your dog's poo in a public place, but maybe there need to be signs to this effect. Just be careful where you walk your dog (and yourself) and you'll be fine.

My room had a concealed defect in the flooring beneath the rug that caused me to trip and fall into the couch. The room telephone also did not work, and the bathroom light flickered. I reported these problems and repeatedly contacted the hotel and Sonesta Customer Care seeking an appropriate resolution. I received only an approximately 10% adjustment. On August 14, Sonesta closed my complaint, stating that the hotel had identified the trip hazard and that I had already been compensated. Identifying the hazard does not erase the fact that I was placed in an unsafe room, nor does a small adjustment adequately resolve the condition of the room and the poor handling of my complaint. I requested that this matter be reconsidered and asked for a refund of the remaining charges, but the hotel has not provided a satisfactory resolution. Guests should be able to expect a safe room and a meaningful response when a hazardous condition is reported. Based on both the condition of my room and the way this complaint was handled, I cannot recommend this establishment.

I ended up going online myself, and sure enough, the wedding block was listed for the exact dates I had requested. I now specifically requested adjoining rooms so we could help take care of our grandson. Now I'm being told they can't switch my room type because it's outside the block period. It's frustrating that something as simple as making an adjustment to a reservation seems impossible if the system doesn't allow it. Apparently, nowadays no one can amend anything if they can't do it in the system. LOL. Hopefully, the actual stay and customer service once we arrive will be a much better experience!
