The hotel handled it really well. We tried to check in but were told because of no power we would need to come back later to check in. We went out for the evening and came back around 1130pm. We were promptly checked in and they gave us a discount since we couldn't check in earlier. The room was spotless. The bathroom was extremely clean. The breakfast was very good. All the food was warm and tasty. There were several coffee choices and the coffee was hot. The breakfast wasn't very busy so we had a good choice in tables. Many hotels don't have many tables but this one had plenty of seating. When we checked out the young lady at the desk was very polite and smiling. We would definitely stay here again.

I photographed them and brought the photos to the front desk. The attendant was helpful and told us this happens occasionally, that the room would be quarantined and an exterminator would treat it. We were moved to another room. We threw out food, coolers, and packaging that had been in the kitchen, and repacked the rest of our belongings slowly and carefully. One of the kitchen drawers had staining consistent with a previously cleaned pest problem. I called several times for follow-up and was eventually put through to the general manager. He was dismissive. He said repeatedly that they don't have this kind of problem, that staff looked and found nothing, and questioned whether what I photographed were even cockroaches. That directly contradicts what his own front desk told me about quarantine and extermination. He gave no indication the room would be treated or taken out of service. I have stayed with Marriott almost exclusively for years and have held Gold, Platinum, and Titanium status. No refund or compensation was offered, and no acknowledgment that anything happened. This is repulsive, and I expected far more from Marriott and Residence Inn.

Their free breakfast is always great and at this location their potatoes were to die for. Yum! The noise here is minimal and the staff are nice and friendly. They also have a nice little courtyard out back with a fireplace and a couple grills with a pergola and tables, sofas, and chairs. Plus a basketball court. There is plenty of free parking all around the building as well. The bathroom is spacious and the shower is too plus the water pressure is great. They also have a small snack area that is filled with almost anything you could want to eat or drink for a late night craving. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality. Enjoy :D

Here's a list of things they won't tell you until it is too late -…read more 1. There is no breakfast, and there will not be any for at least two weeks. 2. There is coffee in the lobby, and coffee makers in the rooms, but there are zero coffee cups in the building. Not sure why they bother to brew coffee in the lobby, I guess it's for the employees? 3. The on-site laundry is out of order. 4. The heating units in the rooms don't work. Best you can get is fan. 5. Watch out for the fire ants in the bathrooms.
