The woman at the front desk, Jocelyn (sp?), is a pleasure and very helpful. I did not have any issues with any of the other staff members that I encountered during my short stay - all were pretty nice. Instead of having a room in the main hotel, I stayed in the Laurie House (a 1-2 minute walk from the main hotel), which has a very rustic, BnB vibe. It did not really feel like a hotel room, but rather, more like a fancy bedroom (the bed was awesome). My only issue with my room is that there were not too many outlets, and I had to iron my clothes in the bathroom, which was not a major inconvenience. Overall, the grounds are pretty quiet, except for the sounds of nature. There is not much in the area so you will not be able to do much exploring unless you have your own mode of transportation or take an Uber. An uber into town is about $10. The Conference Center has a small gym with the basics and a saltwater pool. If you are into outdoor running the area is beautiful and there are a few easy trails on the "campus". In terms of location, this would be a great place to have a wedding or a private getaway, but I do not think that I would stay here more than a couple of days.

Pristine Greens and fairways throughout the course and had a lot of fun on the challenging putts. Each hole had its character in design with fairways That could play easy for a par game but challenge you when you try to go under par. and the greens challenge your skill of placing the ball as close to the pin as possible otherwise you may have some very difficult slopes and dens when reading the greens. I would expect nothing less from a private course in Princeton with a great design and a layout of the environment that has a lot of breathtaking water hazards natural structures. Even from the bunker, the course is a lot of fun and I'm glad I got a chance to play it. I was invited out through work to assist them with their annual birdies for the brave golf outing charity events and was fortunate enough that they had an opening and allowed for me to play with a few of the Marines. The pace of the outing was excellent giving us plenty of time to chat between the holes and get to know each other as well as drive around the golf carts which have a great GPS network in them. Right as you pull up, they have the bag drop to grab your golf cart as well as a driving range, putting green and practice bunkers to get a few chips in before you head on out. I don't think I've ever played on greens as fast as them, even though it had rained the night before I got to play and the greens were still quite fast. Despite a heavy down for the day before the course conditions were excellent with very little areas that retained any heavy amounts of water. Driving through the course was quite a delight! The staff was very friendly and amazing with their speed of service and quality of food and drinks. I was especially thankful to the staff that allowed me to go out and play. The locker rooms were very clean and accommodating which is great coming from a day of work into a day of golf going into an evening with dinner. And the mansion is just an amazing view I can certainly understand why so many people chosen this course has the place for their wedding. Top-notch dining area, entryway and cocktail area. Photos for this property would make everything worthwhile!

I stay in the area every couple months or so but my usual place required a two night minimum even…read moreon a Sunday. I had seen the Chateau Inn and Suites but since it was about ten more minutes away, I hadn't stayed there yet. When I looked into booking, Sundays were available for one night stays, so I booked a standard queen room. About a week or so before my stay I was reading reviews to get a feel for the place, coffee situation (very important!!) parking etc. and someone mentioned that they do not have elevators. I have a lot of medical issues so this was a big red flag for me and I had not seen it mentioned anywhere. I gave them a call and asked if they could give me a room on the first floor and they told me they'd be happy to, which eased my worries. The parking was described in the reviews as difficult to say the least - it's a very small lot and first come first served. They do have additional parking across the street as well at the station but if you are anything like me and pack for a week even though it's only a night, you definitely want a close spot to carry all of your thirty bags inside. (That being said, and also now that I know their staff is so helpful, as you'll see in my photos I do have a rather gigantic vehicle so I think when I stay here next I will take them up on the additional parking lot offer!!) But this time, I did back my gigantic van into one of the spots and everything worked out just fine so please know it can be done. Walking over to the main entrance I was surrounded by lush hostas, classic beach bicycles and that lovely gray shaker siding that just screams "the shore" and made me super happy. I was greeted inside by Jeff who made me feel very welcome. He then told me that since I had requested the ground floor but they hadn't any more of my specific room on this floor, they upgraded me to a double queen suite with a kitchenette and patio. (I was completely floored by this and thanked him since I needed the ground floor due to a medical issue. It was really important to me and they took it so seriously, it really meant so much.) Jeff gave me a tour of the main reception area and informed me of all of the complimentary refreshments, amenities, beach information and rentals. He offered suggestions on local food and any other businesses should I need them. He seemed very well-informed and experienced on both the area and his work in general. He helped carry my bags to my room and pointed some cool things out along the way. Jeff definitely elevated my experience from the second I walked in that beautiful door and is a perfect first and lasting impression for the Chateau. The incredible room, I imagine, will also be in my memory for a pretty long while. Entering on your very own red brick patio with a real heavy brass key is a kind of charming you cannot buy at a big hotel chain. It just feels a certain way, very North East and classic. The beds are big, fluffy, and the best part is that there is no itchy cover on top - they have giant white (I think down??) quilts and huge pillows, four on each bed. I noticed that there were also a variety of pillows - each bed had two soft and two firm (I'm crazy about my pillows and bring a tiny neck pillow with me but I didn't even need it.) Great mattress, extremely comfortable, like sleeping in a nest of clouds. Impeccably clean. Perfection. The kitchen looked brand new. And spotless. (I even recognized the Kitchen Aid oven as a very high end oven, the Café series maybe??) Beautifully done and a Keurig machine! What more could you want? The bathroom - The room itself of course (does it even need to be said at this point) BEAUTIFUL. One of the things in particular I I enjoyed about this Inn was that everything was so solid and of impressive quality, from the countertops to the bar stools. Nothing felt cheap, or breakable. And I loved that we're not just expected to use a smaller towel as a bath mat - it's an actual real fluffy bath mat!! This is so rare and such a minor detail but to me it made a difference. And the bathroom was probably the cleanest I've ever seen at any hotel I've ever been to (not exaggerating- the entire room was completely spotless.) I highly recommend staying here. Yes, during peak season it can be a little more expensive than some other Inns/hotels but I've stayed at a lot of places in the area and nothing has compared to this level of service, cleanliness, beauty and amenities. And off-season, I have seen the rates being much less than other places. I'd love to come back and stay for longer than one night to be able to explore the beach. I'd probably upgrade myself this time because now that I've had that kitchen and patio I don't think I'd be able to NOT have that kitchen and patio. What have they done to me!

Good coffee in the room as well as in the common area. The atmosphere is cool & calm, every room is different. Some of the rooms are like being in a small home. I'll drop the couple extra dimes anytime I can, somethings just cannot be bought ;) The best breakfast aside from my house is only like a 4 block walk (+/-) at the Honey Berry (was AM kitchen, they still open fairly early at 7am) ... This place is made for R+R it's calming and refreshing not really a party central. 3. Tons to do in the area read up before going or you will feel overwhelmed! She gives you a guide when you walk in but , the town is catered to going out so you have tons to choose from. 4. Extra pillows are in the closet. 5. You are super close to the beach! Pack a bathing suit if the weather calls for it.

From sitting rooms to the library, there are books and fireplaces all around! The chef was incredible! Every meal was better than the last. The other staff on site provided nature walks and helped us with whatever we needed! The grounds were beautiful with tons of history! There are farm animals, a homeschooling program on site but no matter what it was nice to walk around. It was a great experience and a place I'll remember for another event!

Many of them you could buy in Costco. Cauliflower mac&cheese. The alcohol is provided by the bride and groom, so you can't fault the venue if they couldn't make a specialty drink for you. They are responsible for keeping the beer cold though, and they couldn't even do that. I had the very small 3 oz fillet for my dinner and it was completely overdone. No pink at all! I asked if they could bring me another one out. They said there are no extras and that they do not serve made to order steak. Really?? Who screws fillets up? It rained so they closed the tent up. It was like being in a sauna. All the young men took their ties off and unbuttoned their shirts. How do you not have AC?? At the end of the evening when the 2 bartenders were trying to keep up with making drinks and getting the beer on ice, I overheard the one say that this group is brutal. It's ok to think that but you should probably keep your thoughts to yourself so guests don't hear you. They actually closed the bar up early.
