Amazing food! All homemade and oh so tasty!!

It took us forever to write this review but we just wanted to say how incredibly amazing this place was. Esther was the absolute best! The food was AMAZING. Our room was cozy, beautiful and clean. It was one of the best B&B we've experienced.

I let my spouse look for a place to stay since I could not find anything that did not have a 2-night minimum, and oh my, does he have good taste in lodging to find Cedars & Beeches. :-) This is one of the few places in the area that does not have that requirement, thank you! So it was perfect for our overnight beach getaway at the end of summer. Located in a nice West End burb near the beach, this 1890 house was actually a guest house for a larger mansion. We got a Queen room, the lowest category, and it had tons of room, a small hallway, and a giant walk-in closet. This is the one (Room B) right off the living room with the big blue sectional sofa. Guests there for a wedding politely used this common area to relax in the evening, which did not bother us at all. There is a fridge to stow your wine and leftovers. Very clean and beautiful, free easy wifi, and plenty of space to hang out and relax. Breakfast is ample, and you order from a menu and eat on the porch. Since we are both vegan, we did not need eggs or pancakes or meat of course and just got tea, coffee, fruit, and hash browns, all brought out very quickly. The minced way the hash browns were made was wonderful, and I was tempted to ask for a second helping. I did not do this only because I knew we would be heading to a decadent brunch at Good Karma in Red Bank. Esther's employees are incredibly friendly and sweet too. I asked if Bruce Springsteen ever stayed here, but of course he has plenty of room at his home in Colt's Neck. He was born in Long Branch though and wrote some of his most famous songs very close to this B&B, on West End Court. Dorothy Parker's birthplace (noted with a plaque) is also very close by. Esther knows a lot of good history and lore of the area and is involved in community leadership. She also has a gorgeous rescued vischla we saw being walked, but of course the dog was not in the B&B, too bad for me. She would have been welcome in the bed, haha. Esther and the dog live in the former stable behind the house. The porch is a nice place to hang out in the evening, and we took walks around the neighborhood too. Very lush greenery surrounds C & B, so you can imagine that you are far out in the woods, while still having total convenience. I wish we could have checked in earlier, but traffic is of course terrible on the way to the beach at this time of year. It will be fun to come back here later in the fall. Lovely experience in every way.

Ok guys. Another I can't believe what I'm seeing picture from #Midnight. But before I go on please look at similar reviews how instead of saying I'm sorry for my horrible actions this women loves to defend herself and attempts to justify her actions. 2 things. 1. If you don't believe what I'm saying all you have to do is check out similar reviews from other guests from the past. Almost carbon copy reviews. 2. If you still can't believe how another human being(especially an owner who is in the hospitality business) can act this way please go to my Instagram account at MIDNIGHT_MICHAELSON I had the privilege of being able to capture Esther on film so everyone can view how phony this women really is. The truth is we were was so pumped up for an incredible #laborday #weekend at the #cedarsandbeechesbedandbreakfast in #longbranch #newjersey with my girlfriend and my little 12 and 10 year old. After a long 4 hour commute and totally exhausted we finally made it to the #hotel. My kids were so excited when we pulled up to the place. Big beautiful #mansion, vibrant colors from all the pretty flowers that have been planted with this incredible wrap around porch that I couldn't wait to relax in. My boy was the first to go up to the door to let the staff know we have arrived. After ringing the door bell this women in the video finally answers the door and I swear the way should looked at my children was like the child catcher from #chittychittybangbang. "Yes". "What do you want". I looked and starred in horror and I said reservations for the Michaelson's. Now I will take one on the chin and admit that when I booked this vacation room, accidentally I didn't respond that two adults and two children were coming. It was an automatic default to just two adults. But the response I received from this women was like holy shit!!!!!! #OMG I have been traveling for 30 years and have never been treated so poorly by another human being. This was one of the #nastiest Women I haven't ever met. Instead of having #compassion for the mix up she immediately verbally assaulted me in front of my kids and had the #audacity to suggest that two people can stay in the room and she couldn't care where the other two people should go. She was so awesome for the camera I wish I didn't stop filming. The entire scene would have been a mind blower. #thankgod we left because Everything truly happens for a reason. I suggest if you ever pass buy this cottage on your way to the beach just keep going. This was a modern day witch that seems to dislike children very much. A simple scheduling mistake turned into a full on assault by this women. Just want to give a #shoutout to #oceanplaceresortandspa. They were so #sympathetic to our story they did a price match on a $1,000 room and totally took care of us. I highly recommend if you ever come to Long-branch this is the place to stay. On the ocean. Full service on lounge chairs and umbrellas and so welcoming and the staff was amazing. Happy Labor day everyone. Let's all #pray for this women. She needs lots #love and #positiveenerfy sent her way. Remember the glass is always half full my friends and make everyday the best day ever like it's your last day on this earth. 1. 2. 3. Woooooooooo.

Nice cup of tea on the porch

Was a last minute decision to go away for the night for our anniversary, found this place online. It is a beautiful B&B, spotless, friendly service, very warm comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious with homemade muffins and Belgium waffles with fresh strawberries!!! Definitely going back!!!

Really convenient to everything at Long Branch Beach. First a shout out to Guest Experiences Manager Kate Fowler who took care of helping us with reservations to multiple events and stayed in touch throughout. She was awesome. Always friendly, courteous and helpful. Next Front Desk Nicole who went way beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay, with directions, advice and was a huge reason for a great stay. She is a keeper and will help with anything you need. She works the afternoon shift and even though the peak check-in, will take her time to explain everything in great detail. The Property is easy to find and with a convenient initial park at the back of the hotel, then the card to enter the garage right behind with free in/out parking included in your daily rate. Having covered parking on hot days is a must (PS if you check out, you can park in the 30 minute parking spots until you leave). Another tip, don't struggle with the trolley trying to enter the Hotel as there is a slight bump in the rear door to negotiate. Just go Infront and pull your trolley and it's much easier to enter. The lobby is fab and has entertainment for all. From a pool table, to soccer table and comfortable seating. Its where breakfast pastries and coffee/tea is provided and has a small bar. There is one elevator given the size of the Property but access using the stairs is easy. Rooms are spacious, housekeeping is done daily and there is little you need once in your rooms. Now another tip. Your stay allows access to the WAVE resort and to its private beach, pool and gym. You have to show your room key and will be issued armbands. Note that it's a 10-15 minute walk and not immediately close by but well worth the visit. Alex Warren manages the Property and is really helpful to show you around. From the Hotel it is a block to the Pier Shopping Center and the most awesome restaurants around. The beach is clean and so is the boardwalk. Book early and Kate can help with suggestions. Wonderful stay at this Property and we plan to return again and again.

First time in Asbury Park for both of us. We booked this motel thru a booking website. We chose this specific motel due to the location from The Stone Pony and to the beach. And...Because we were able to book just the one night. (We would have stayed another night, if we were able, but...had to go.) We had booked a Queen Room, which was upgraded to a Double Suite upon check-in. Two double beds, micro fridge, microwave, coffee maker AND...a kitchenette (sink, stove top and cabinets), which would be just wonderful for longer stays! Our room overlooked the parking lot and street...with a teeny view of the ocean! We arrived during the annual LGBTQ Pride Celebration happening all around, which had wound down by the time we got back to the room for bed. No street noise was heard. The room was dated, but SUPER CLEAN! (You could walk on the carpet with your bare feet!) NO SIGNS of roaches, bedbugs, ants, etc. (Which is super important to us!) Water pressure in the bathroom was good. Air conditioner worked, though we did not use it. Cable TV worked fine. Strong wi-fi in the room. Door locked securely. On-site parking. Check-in was swift and hassle-free. Rocky was gracious and quite hospitable. Location, location, location! About 5 miles off of the Garden State Parkway. One block from Ocean Avenue and the North Beach Boardwalk. 5 minute walk to the Convention Hall and the Paramount Theatre. 1/2 mile to The Stone Pony. Within walking distance to...EVERYTHING! Lots of safe walking opportunities. Besides being one block from the Boardwalk, it's a 5-minute walk to Deal Lake; 3 minute walk to Bradley Park; less than 1/2 mile walk to Sunset Park and just over 1/2 mile walk to Wesley Lake. (I'm an Aquarius, I was born a water baby!) Walking distance...in every direction...to lots of restaurants, etc. This is a SMOKE-FREE establishment!!! If you're going to be in that area, book a stay!

On Sunday during check out hours there were minimum 10 people and families waiting for their cars while 1 person was on staff. the valet guys were beyond nice and apologetic, not their fault. I insisted on getting my family, who were at the pool, before moving. While doing so, we spoke with three other guests traveling with pets who told us they were staying on the 5th, 6th, and 8th floors. This directly contradicted the explanation we were given, as we were the ones being removed from the 8th floor. The entire experience felt deceptive, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Instead of taking responsibility for their error, the hotel attempted to downgrade our accommodations based on an explanation that appeared to be untrue. I arrived in the afternoon and was greeted and checked in promptly. I have IHG status, and they gave me a small goodie bag with water and snacks at check-in. My room was on the second floor (ground level, just steps from the lobby). The room itself was quite large, with a modern design that felt recently renovated. There was a large television and a desk area with a comfortable leather chair. The mini fridge was more substantial than usual, closer to a half-size fridge, and actually worked well, which is not always the case in hotel rooms. The heating and fan system also worked effectively, and I was able to block out any outdoor noise. The bed was especially comfortable, with plenty of pillows that were not overly firm, and clean, crisp white bedding. The bathroom was spacious, the shower had good pressure, and was stocked Dove products. Breakfast is included with the stay. I had a few mini omelettes, though much of the hot food had run out by the time I got there. There was still a decent selection of fruit (apples, oranges, berries), baked goods, and oatmeal packets.
