The inn is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The breakfasts were excellent and one of the many things that made staying here such a great experience. The location is also hard to beat-- a 2 block walk to the beach and a short drive to Main Street, making it easy to enjoy everything Belmar has to offer. What stood out most to me was the hospitality. Staying somewhere for nearly a month gives you a much different perspective than a quick weekend trip, and throughout my entire stay Bill and Linda consistently made me feel welcome and appreciated. Thank you both for making my extended stay feel like home. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend the Inn at the Shore to anyone visiting the area. 10/10.

Our room, the common areas, the verandah, the breakfast, and the hospitality were all outstanding. I couldn't have been more pleased. Our room, the Savannah, was one of the smallest in the Inn but it was still surprisingly spacious, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully appointed. The mini-fridge was a nice touch (we stocked it with club soda and wine); the shower had plenty of water pressure and hot water; towels were fluffy and plentiful; bedding was comfortable with a pillow top mattress, lots of pillows, a summer-weight down duvet and fresh cotton sheets. Although the room offered air conditioning, we opted for open windows and the ceiling fan. The basket of magazines and bookshelf of paperbacks in the upstairs hall was a stroke of hospitality genius. Ditto the fresh-baked cookies in the dining room in the afternoon... and the cold bottled water for the beach. These small mindful touches were very much appreciated. A number of very nice amenities were available, including loaner bikes, free beach towels, chairs and badges. The hosts, Chris and Debbie, were thoughtful, friendly and unobtrusive. They made us feel absolutely welcome and comfortable without overwhelming us. The full breakfast was fresh, yummy and plentiful -- and served at a human hour (9am - 10am). For early risers, the coffeepot is perking by 6:30am. We plan to visit again and I absolutely recommend the Atlantic View Inn to anyone looking for a relaxing beach-side stay at the Shore.

The inn's location is quite close to the Bradley Beach NJ Transit Train Station, and it is just half a block from the beach, so most of the rooms have views of the Atlantic Ocean (mine did!). The innkeepers and owners are so charming and friendly, and they really want to make sure everyone has a good visit to the shore. Though I only stayed one night in the Cape May room on the 3rd floor, I really enjoyed my time at the inn. I loved the huge wrap-around porch and the comfortable homey feeling in the main living area. I also really appreciated that they had "Shared Book" shelves all around the inn on every floor.

They dont have a fridge in the room but they have a big fridge downstair in the kitchen area. This place lends you complimentary beach chairs and towels. Also you can get a beach pass for $6 (if you buy it from the beach entrance its $9) Their breakfast was pretty good. They gave out home baked chocolate chip cookies in the evening and they were delicious! It was a "perfect" place for a quiet and relaxing mother daughter getaway!

Liz wants us not to believe our eyes rather what she tells us is true. Lastly , it should be down by any guess that during the months of the winter , the becomes a property that caters to some of society's lets say most challenged people. It is impossible that\nWith eight months out of the year being populated by this type of clientele that the property is not badly affected by that. After staying at The Inn @Ocean Grove for half a year, I considered it home and forged a few…read morefriendships. Because I stayed here for that long, I was able to make a few observations, which frame my opinions. As with anything, there are both good and bad. But these are just my POV. Management: The place was basically run by two women, with one being the "chief cook and bottle washer," stepping in to do repairs and treating the guests to her amazing baked goods. The other woman served more on, in her own words, an "organizational" level, collecting the "rent" every Monday, and "keeping things in line." If you stay during the Winter season as I did, don't expect breakfast, but summer guests will have that amenity. Not to worry. There are quite a few options in town. There is a Keurig coffee machine, however, which you can help yourself to any time of the day. It's easy to use. For those of you who don't know, just put the K-cup in, making sure there is water in the side container, press the top down and push the button to the desired strength of coffee. But I digress. It's just that people kept asking me how to use it. One of the downsides at the Inn were the numerous power outages, and guests were sometimes suspected to be the culprits, even though the building is more than 100 years old and the infrastructure probably needs an upgrade. Also, at least in the winter season, you must supply your own bedding: sheets, blankets, pillow cases. And don't expect to bring Fido or Felix. Pets are not allowed, except maybe in the back cottages. All in all, enjoy the stay, don't get too inebriated (it's a dry town, and you'll have to sneak off to Bond Street Bar in the next town) because there are three floors, and you have to climb stairs. Parking is free, outside the building, but that could be problematic in the Summer. During my stay, I was sometimes playing musical cars to keep my auto on the "correct" side of the one-way Webb Avenue . Take care, and Godspeed. The family-run property was extremely well-kept, and there were so many small details that they had thought of that really enhanced the experience. I was, however, surprised to see so many reviews refer to the place as a "bed and breakfast", because despite the atmosphere being similar, a morning meal was not truly included (more on that below). I am not sure if that was an adjustment made when they also changed the name of the hotel or what. Anyway, I broke out my thoughts on various aspects below: Room: Our room was on the third floor, so there were a good amount of steps to get up there. There was a storage cabinet in the hallway on each floor that held spare rolls of toilet paper and extra cosmetic items for guests to grab as needed. The rooms, however, were already well-stocked with these items, but it was nice to have access to backups for longer stays. Our room was reasonable spacious and even included a fireplace, two stools, a loveseat, and a coffee table. There was also a luggage rack, a dehumidifier, a Roku smart television, beach towels, and beach passes included. The room was relatively soundproof from the neighboring ones, and the area was quiet to begin with. The bed was very soft and fluffy, but wound up being more supportive than I would have expected, since I did not wake up with any back pain. The private bathroom was reasonably spacious and included a large stall shower. There were two of each size towel you could possibly want. Though its pedestal sink did not provide any counterspace, there was a small stand in the corner that could be used as an alternative. The bath products were from C.O. Bigelow, so they had no parabens or other gross ingredients. Cleanliness: Overall, the room was very clean, though I did see a few hairs on the bathroom walls and a long one on the inside of a folded bath towel. The common areas were spotless. Breakfast: While breakfast was not included in the reservation, it could be purchased in advance through the website with a few main course options to choose from. Alternatively, the hotel left a daily "Morning Experience Card" voucher in the room that would cover a portion of breakfast at one of three local eateries - a diner, a bagel shop, or a cafe (see my review for Caffe Di Famiglia at https://www.yelp.com/biz/caffe-di-famiglia-belmar?hrid=muhG5OL20A6uHsCNcq1fHg ). The summertime voucher was for $20, though it would apparently be valued at a lower amount in the off-season. The lobby did have coffee and a delicious orange sponge cake in the morning, though. Registration: The check-in/out services were easy, requiring an online pre-registration, where you selected code that would allow you into the building and to your room. The code would stop working when your reservation ended. There were also two chocolate chip cookies waiting to greet us in our room. Common Areas: The quaint home had a wrap-around porch that included a few dining tables and several rocking chairs. On the inside ground floor there was a dining room table, a living room, and a small den with coffee maker and water pitcher. Beach Gear: In addition to the passes and towels in the room, the hotel had beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, and carts available for use. Location: The location was spectacular, as it was only a block from Main Street's restaurants, shops, and fitness centers, as well as only a few blocks to the beach. Parking: There was room for 5-6 cars to park behind the inn, as well as free parking spots on the residential block. While we would have loved to have a homecooked breakfast at The Opal & Pearl included in our stay, we really felt that the inn was cute and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again.

Parking is free on the street (or you can also park in the back of the house - has maybe 2 ish spots). We had no issue with street parking. We took our bikes and beach chairs to the beach one day (we had our own chairs, but they provide chairs if you want and also beach towels). Room was clean and self check in was with our own code. The mattress could use an upgrade, but it wasn't terrible. Bathtub was jacuzzi style. All very clean and painting seemed up to date. Air conditioner got cold very quickly. Dedra and Cord were excellent and really paid attention to detail. I appreciate the cookies that were in our room on check in and then the treats that were on our door the next day! Breakfast was fantastic. Fruit always seemed meticulously picked and everything was prepared with love. This is the place to be!

It's incongruous, and I felt like rushing into a bathroom to put on a designer suit and a shirt with cufflinks. The omnipresent T-shirt and shorts of Asbury Park seemed out of place, but that's the uniform on the Shore, and the Ocean Club was no exception. A piano man was singing in the second-floor lounge, and his lovely voice and keyboard playing filled the elegant wood-lined rooms. He was fantastic, as was the interior of this zen hotel. It was the epitome of modern luxury, and the expansive space had the perfect lighting, transporting the patrons to a world of peace and relaxation. The Jersey Shore was in a different hemisphere. Well, until we encountered the lackadaisical service, which would be more appropriate at one of the tiki bars on the beach. I literally had to search them down to get our drinks and to retrieve our check. The prices were quite reasonable for this kind of place.

Splinter HELL, I hope you don't want ice…read more This hotel was fantastic at first, especially the corner pool terrace suite. Easy access to the pool, large and lots of light. But my god, it is splinter hell. Us, along with 3 other families that we knew of, were realizing at the pool that us and our kid's feet were completely full of splinters. We spent a total of about 3 hours at the pool over 2 days and my four year old had over 50 splinters in each foot! I had about 10 and spouse a few less. My four year old will not even let me look at his foot, nevertheless remove the splinters - yeah right. I think we are going to need to get sedated. This has ruined the stay to be honest. The hotel also didn't have tweezers. At least two families complained and nothing seemed to be done about it. The deck is extremely dry. This wouldn't be a hard problem to solve. ICE. I requested ice about 20 different ways, because there is no ice machine so they say just request it: - through the app on their tablet (3x, nothing) - through calling the front desk (2x, nothing) - in person at the front desk (2x, nothing) - through text to the front desk (4x, nothing) - in person to the person that came to the room one night (2x, 1x worked!) I got ice once, woohoooooo! The tablet is a joke. I needed an extra bedsheet and requested it through the tablet and it never came. In person at the front desk it did, however. Beautiful hotel, but the splinters ruined it. You could not pay ME to stay somewhere that my autistic kid gets 100 splinters in his feet. The hotel is feeling a bit neglected in some ways. Our "terrace" had algae on the deck area, one couch cushion had a big brown spot and there was half of a DEAD BIRD on our terrace. It was there the whole time. Of course my 4 year old was enthralled.Yay.

The place was clean. The staff was very welcoming. We had street parking or they have a small lot. We had control of our own heat. It was a nice quiet and restful stay. The bathroom comes with all the amenities. Including make up remover and the make up towel. In the morning there was a small continental breakfast. It's complimentary, but it wasn't my favorite. I would like to see what's it's like in the summer.

I've stayed here a few times before and it has gone down hill. We decided to go during Covid…read morebecause of all the reassurances from the inn that they were taking additional precautions with cleaning and disinfecting. Well, when we got to our room (16) it felt as though it had not been cleaned for awhile, never mind this thorough cleaning we were being sold. The ceiling fan had a layer of blade dust and the sheet had a spot of blood. Dresser drawers had not been wiped clean and had a broken light switch in one. The overall outside of the building was breaking down and all of the outdoor furniture had stains and burn holes. The best part of our stay was our room had a balcony. Once we cleaned the outdoor furniture we were able to enjoy the outside area. Hope they will return this once OG gem back to the clean, well kept inn we once enjoyed.
