Vegas NJ was very disappointed with Melissa S's review. By all accounts her party was a tremendous success. We were fortunate that the owner was present at her event and able to contradict her view of the Bar Mitzvah. The party included a DJ, Emcee, 2 dance motivators. Air hockey, foosball, 3 casino tables and a Photo Booth. We posted pictures of her event including her son, the guest of honor, having a great time at the casino tables. The tables were active all night and the dealers were teaching the kids who weren't familiar, how to play as well. It is sometimes difficult to contain teenage kids from running around with the the casino chips and props from the photo booth. We do our best to ensure the party is contained and does not turn into a free for all and sometimes that results in a little discipline from our staff. Our staff is highly recruited and trained to allow the kids to have fun but in a safe environment. It was brought to our attention that Melissa found her information out second hand and did not witness this herself. We believe that if the party wasn't a huge success that she would have known that evening, instead she left her event very happy and satisfied. We have received calls from people who attended her event looking for information to host their own based on the feedback from their child how terrific it was. We had our son's Bar Mitzvah on May 9 at Vegas NJ. From the outside the place looks like a dump but the inside is as good as it gets. Great space awesome lighting and decor. Top sound system. The kids side with black jack table and slot machines were packed throughout the event plus the lounge look couches and tables were great for the kids. They also liked dancing on stage. The adult side with sit down dinner was also very good. My filet mignon was delicious as were the sides. Being the host I did not have much time to sample the appetizers though I did get a few (shrimp cocktail) was fresh with nice presentation in a shot glass. The service was also really good. They do move you along because it is a business and parties do come through there all weekend long so it runs like a well oiled machine efficient and precise. For a kids party to make them feel like adults - sweet 16 or even a 40th birthday party. It is a fun space that comes all inclusive don't need to book your own DJ or dancers they have it all. I am tough critic but I don't have any complaints was top notch. read more

Vegas did an extraordinary job on my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. The staff was helpful, courteous and professional during the entire process! We met about 3-4 weeks prior to the big day to discuss the smaller details that would make it a great event. The staff not only listened, but carried out everything that was discussed and promised without any reminders. We were also pleasantly surprised by how good the food was - much better than when we had tasted it about a year and a half ago during the Showcase. Smitty was our Emcee and he was FABULOUS! He kept the party moving, got everyone dancing and was funny without being obnoxious! We couldn't have been happier with our experience. Vegas really made an extra effort to ensure we were happy and that it was a stress-free experience. And VEGAS ABSOLUTELY DELIVERED! I will be holding an event there again in a few years when my son has his Bar Mitzvah! read more

My husband and I got married at Vegas NJ in January. We had the absolute best day we could have ever dreamed of. Everything was absolutely perfect. Sam, Melanie and the staff at Vegas exceeded every single expectation we had and made sure our event went off without a hitch. The room was absolutely stunning, and the event flowed perfectly. The food was amazing and the displays were out of this world! The guests were so surprised when the staff pulled out all the gaming tables and had a blast playing them! It was such a unique touch to add to our day. The entertainment MC and DJ were on point and provided all our guests with an amazing experience (they all still talk about it!) I would HIGHLY recommend that couples who are looking at wedding venues to check out Vegas. I promise it will exceed all your expectations!! read more

We like people's feedback, it helps make us a better company. However, it's sad when people misinterpret what really happened, or go on hearsay. We are a very respected business and have one of the best track records in our industry. At our events, especially with teenage kids, we don't allow mayhem to break out. Sometimes teens need to be disciplined in a firm matter - not yelling, rude or degrading, just a firm voice. Just like a teacher would use on their students, and unfortunately a small percentage of parents are offended and we are truly sorry if you feel that way. Our parties are always great, and our venues are some of the best. If it was so bad it should have been addressed that night. If you attended this party, there's no way you can deny that you didn't have a great time!! read more

We have had two parties here in the last two years, one bar mitzvah and one bat mitzvah, and both were outstanding! From soup to nuts and everything in between, they really do a great job, both from the perspective of the guests and the host. They made our party-planning very easy, and we truly enjoyed our own party. And, all we heard were rave reviews from our guests about the food, the staff, the music, the photography, the decor, the personalized touches, everything! (except for the Photo Booth lady, who by all accounts was a bit cranky). Smitty was our MC, and everyone loved him - he runs a GREAT party! Sam and Melanie are great to work with, and for the day-to-day, Lisa is the best. I highly recommend Vegas NJ - our special events were everything we had hoped for and much more!! read more

Have been hers 3 times in the last year or so and every time is better than the last. They have such a cool vibe to the place. The food was very good, better than any catering venue I've been to. I stuffed myself so much during cocktail hour that I almost couldn't eat the main course, but when it came out I just couldn't resist. I had the Short Ribs and they were the best short ribs I ever had, so tender they fell apart in my mouth. They entertainers were so much fun and entertained the adults as well as the kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful and went out of the way to get me gluten free selection, when I asked. I would recommend this place for any type of event. Had our daughter's Sweet 16 here and could not of been happier! Everything was wonderful! The venue is beautiful,the food delicious, the service excellent! We loved the one stop shopping. All we had to supply, were the favors & liquor for the adults. Then just show up & party! Sam & Lisa were great to work with, gave wonderful suggestions & made all our selections from color scheme, theme & food very easy! We had our daughter's Sweet 16 party here, I have to say it was the most incredible time! The venue is truly amazing, the attention to detail, and the lighting truly set the mood the second our guests stepped into the room. My family is all Italian, and are probably the biggest critics when it comes down to food, they all loved it and so did we!! Everyone at Vegas, NJ far and away exceeded our expectations for how we thought our daughters Bat Mitzvah would be. Vegas NJ was THE BEST place for my daughter's Sweet 16! The venue was amazing and every staff member was attentive, flexible and accommodating. The food was great and the DJ had the kids on the dance floor the whole time. The photographer took countless shots and seeing them on the screen right after was so much fun. Recently, I was at Vegas NJ for a Sweet 16. The Vegas staff members greeted us upon our arrival, and were always polite & courteous throughout the evening. They were also understanding to the needs of the younger guests, and were eager to help them with the photo booth to allow the adults from free time. My son and his 2 friends went to a bar mitzvah there recently and they really liked the music and d.j. but said that the staff who ran the photo booth and game tables were horrible (my son's quote "meaner than any sub we've ever had in 7th grade Mom"). I asked a friend whose daughter was there and she said she got the same feedback. Too many places out there to bother ever using this one! read more

I dropped off my daughter and 2 friends at a party last weekend. I have never witnessed such rude behavior exhibited by the staff at an event. The employees yelled - yes, yelled - at the children for no apparent reason other than they just seemed to have no experience or ability in managing a crowd of more than 1 person.
