The Funplex - Drop N Twist Ride!

The Funplex

(203 reviews)

Adults Night Out! My…read moreBF and I came here towards the end of the summer for their "Funplex Afterdark". Think games, outdoor pools, food, alcohol and a DJ. The entry ticket purchased also gave access to bowling, bumper cars and several rides. Early arrival is suggested to avoid long lines. The food was very mid (carnival level), the drinks varied depending on which bar you got your drink from. The pool area was jammed pack.... Literally people standing on top of each other. We spent the majority of our time inside where we enjoyed ourselves the most. All in all we had a good time and would go back next summer.

It's a pretty good place if you manage your expectations…read more It's not some uber fancy theme park and it has a modest water park with some more older kids/adults themed stuff like a go kart track and bowling. The arcade is very big and there's a lot of options that would make little kids happy. It's a good place to bring younger kids to kill half a day in the arcades or other amenities, like for a morning and early afternoon run. Or just swing by for a couple of hours before lunch at the arcades and other little attractions there. I wouldn't say it's a more exciting way to spend the day than going to the attractions at American Dream or anything like that. But it's a great place for simple fun and enjoyment on a smaller scale if you don't feel like doing more than just keeping kids or teens occupied for a few hours.

Life O' The Party - Balloon arches create beauty and wonder for ANY event.

I would recommend this business to any of my friends interested in throwing a party. I planned my…read morehusband a surprise birthday party while I was traveling internationally and Mark was really helpful. He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! Really, what a great experience. My husband had a really great time. Thank you Mark and company!

They delivered the fabulous balloon arrangements right on time (a couple of hours before the party) and the delivery person was very helpful and friendly! Almost everyone at the party told me how much they loved the balloons. A great experience from start to finish!

The Park Savoy Estate - Best venue of all times.

They have a great reputation in the wedding industry and have been around for many years but have recently had a gorgeous renovation.

I went to this place for a wedding. It was extravagant and very nice. There was a separate chapel…read morewhere the ceremony took place which was spacious as well. The service was very friendly and appreciated throughout the entire night. The cocktail hour was one of the better ones I attended. There was a raw bar, taco station, pasta station, sushi station, etc. My favorite items tried were the sliced beef and chicken in a waffle cone. The beef was cooked to a medium rare temperature and extremely flavorful. The chicken in a waffle cone was a great balance of sweet and spicy with a good amount of chicken in the cone. The sushi was decent at best, while the stuffed rigatoni was tasty too. The raw bar was a little underwhelming as I was not a fan of the raw oysters, but I did not try everything so maybe I just had a few poor ones. The first course of the night was the estate signature salad. It contained arugula, baby greens with julienne apples and an aged white wine vinaigrette. It was topped with caramelized walnuts and manchego cheese. It was a well put together salad. All the toppings complimented one another nicely especially the cheese and vinaigrette. For an entrée, I had the chateaubriand. It was roasted in a cabernet sauce and garnished with caramelized scallops. There was also a side of asparagus, carrots, and potatoes. The asparagus was fine, but the carrots were too hard. The potatoes were not too bad either, very creamy and packed with rosemary I believe. They actually asked for a temperature, which was unusual at a wedding. I asked for medium rare, and it came out a touch over, but not too big of a deal. It was a nice sized portion with just enough flavor. I also tried the salmon Oscar, which was topped with lump crabmeat and a cream sauce. The salmon and crabmeat were both too dry unfortunately. There needed to be more seasoning present as well. I also tried the chicken caprese, which was stuffed with mozzarella cheese and pesto served with roasted cherry tomatoes with vodka sauce. This was another solid tasting dish, great layers from the filing in the chicken. Finally, I also tried the spinach and ricotta stuffed eggplant with a tomato-basil sauce. This was another satisfying dish and was not too heavy like I thought it might be. This had great flavor. Will I go back? Yup.
