Had a wonderful experience at the Cranford Social. We hosted our Broadway gala event there and found John, Trish and their entire team to be super accommodating and easy to work with. They generously allowed us to rehearse on two separate evenings before our event which made a HUGE difference in helping everything run smoothly. The food was delicious, the staff were warm and friendly, and the room setup was absolutely lovely. Everything can together perfectly and we truly appreciate the care and attention to detail. We had our sons 1st birthday this weekend at the Cranford Social. I cannot begin to tell you how great the team is! Working with John from the beginning he made everything as easy as possible. He accommodated every request we could think of and without issue. The whole team is just amazing and Sal the chef was fantastic and a nice guy also. Very impressed with the party I attended tonight! My parents threw a 30TH Birthday Party for my sister at Cranford Social with a total of around 40 guests including children. This is a very nice, medium sized banquet hall. The staff was very polite, food was descent for this fun event and the drinks where consistently good! Unfortunately I don't live close by, because I would definitely throw a party here for a small to mid sized occasion. read more

We just had our son's first birthday party at The Cranford Social and I cannot say enough good things about John, Trish and the entire staff and venue. They are super nice people to begin with, very easy to work with, communication is fantastic and super accommodating. The venue itself is beautiful, private and perfect for any occasion. We were able to transform the space into the perfect setup for our son's party. I also want to mention how delicious the food was too! We did a brunch buffet and everything was great. If you want to host an amazing, elegant, effortless event, I HIGHLY recommend The Cranford Social! From start to finish, their team provided friendly, professional, impeccable service! We worked with Trish, John, Michelle, Paul and Riley. They were helpful, flexible and accommodating, every step of the way! Our guests LOVED the food and drinks, as well as the venue itself, which is immaculate and has beautiful large windows, with a lovely view overlooking the river! As the venue is on the second floor, it was nice that they have an elevator, especially for some of our older guests. What was most impressive though, and what sets The Cranford Social apart, is their team! They clearly love what they do! They were warm and gracious, treating all of our guests like part of their family. They assisted us in every way, from set-up (i.e., helping us with decorations that we brought to the venue) to clean-up. As our event was a bridal shower, there was a lot of ongoing clean-up (tissue paper, bows, etc.), so they helped us to keep the floor clear throughout the event. They also kindly provided lovely background music (of our choosing!) and a microphone, so that we could more easily communicate with all of our guests and keep the event on track. It was a blessing to work with John and Trish, who guided us with the event planning, and who were responsive via email and phone whenever we had a question! The cost was also very reasonable, and we didn't need a party planner because their team efficiently took care of EVERY detail to help us to throw a FLAWLESS event, during which, all of our guests had a lot of FUN and an overall WONDERFUL time! read more

First, let me start by saying this review is long overdue. We had my daughters baptism party at the Cranford Social, with approximately 80 guests. From start to finish we received great service. We worked with Trish to get the contract in order, set the menu and schedule the payments. We had not one hitch, and that is rare to say when you plan a party of this scope. The service was great, the staff paid strong attention to detail and showed great flexibility when meeting our guests needs. We hosted our daughter's 1st bday/baptism here and had a great experience. Trish the owner/event coordinator was very accommodating and lovely to deal with. She along with her husband John worked the day of the event to make sure everything was in order. Service was great and I have to say that I'm especially surprised at how well they handled our huge and rowdy Portuguese family! It got a little hectic including guests showing up who hadn't rsvp'd and the caterer arriving late but Trish handled it very well. The price is a little hefty but you get what you pay for and it was worth it. I hope Trish and John continue to run the Cranford Social. Wow! I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. Today we celebrated my daughter's first birthday at the Cranford Social. It is an absolutely beautiful space. All of my guests were saying how delicious the food was. The staff was super helpful and organized. The owners, Trish and John, were BEYOND accommodating. They were responsive and communicative throughout the entire party planning process. I had my 50th party at the Cranford Social. I was fired up with a theme. The Cranford Social management and staff took it on. Helped with coordinating decor, entertainment, and of course food. We had a buffet cocktail hour and a sit down dinner. The food was excellent. Nice variety and excellent quality. Had about 60 people. Raves from all who attended. I will arrange additional events and meetings there. There was nothing for me to complain about. Hot food was hot, cold food was cold. Drinks were solid. Service was spot on. read more

We didn't book just because the price was out or my budget but the room alone was absolutely beautiful and the owner was very personable!

One star is way too giving for this establishment. We had planned to have our daughters first birthday celebrated at the Cranford Social but that became a total turn off when we received terrible service...had a contract that I was looking to hand in and the owner finally returned my email after several attempts (voicemails, calling restaurant and emails) of reaching out to him only to let me know the hall was booked for the entire month! When we went to view the venue he penciled us in for a date and time and said "we had first dibs and if anyone inquired he would let us know" Now I'm left looking for a place to celebrate my daughters first birthday in April...I'd stay far away...such a shame that beautiful downtown Cranford welcomed a shitty business with horrible management in their town! read more

Cancelled an event 4 days out with no negotiation that people planned coming to from out of state, took a deposit and confimed the date and event and then strung us along until right before the event leaving people who planned to come out to dry. Would not reccomend. read more

My parents and bridesmaids recently hosted my bridal shower here, and it was an amazing day! The space is perfect (we had about 35 guests), and the staff are very accommodating and friendly.
