My daughter's wedding took place on June 12, 2022. The wedding venue has nicely decorated rooms. Trish tried to organize all the guests and bridal party to the appropriate script. Food during cocktail hour was good. These are the only positive opinion I can share. However, at the reception, food was unacceptable: all appetizers were not edible at all. Main course came too late at 10 pm when some people were already planning to leave. In addition, staff took away people plates and glasses while people were eating and drinking right in their presence. God forbid you go to dance or to speak with other people, once you go back to your chair you will not find anything. It's like you are completely gone. My wife and I looked into a handful of venues before deciding on Richfield Regency. It was by far the best value (reasonable prices and amazing venue). Jude was very helpful from the beginning with helping us plan and was readily available to answer all of our questions and address all of our concerns throughout the process. The day of the wedding went great. The staff was friendly and the service was great. We got great feedback from our guests about the food. Of course we didn't make it to our cocktail hour but they had a little of everything waiting for us in out suite following the ceremony. The food was equally amazing during the reception. My favorite was the crab cake and the stuffed chicken. Almost forgot...one of the added perks of the venue is Verona Park located across the street. We got some great pics with the bridal party before the wedding. Just attended an anniversary celebration at Richfield Regency, my first time at this special event menu but, hopefully, not my last. Easily located with valet parking, the exterior is attractive and the interior is elegantly understated. But what impressed me the most, in addition to absolutely delicious hors d'oeuvres and entrees, was the Regency's staff. Observing them in operation was similar to watching a ballet. Their actions were efficient, unobtrusive, synchronized, yet attentive. No wasted motion. This level of service contributes immensely to a celebration. If I had the option, I would rate -100 stars. This place sucked. The staff was so unprofessional & rude beyond words. I cannot even begin to explain or describe the classlessness behavior of these employees. The bouncer who checked my license (I am 22 years of age) tried to snap my ID in half then told me that my ID was fake & continued to pat me down & dig through my handbag. Then, Trish, told my friend who is also 22 that she is a "fucking drunk". They breached their contract & refused to let people in without any rhyme or reason. I had my wedding at the Richfield Regency on June 8th, this past weekend. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. From start to finish, Trish was a delight to work with. She did everything in our best interest and wanted nothing more than for everyone to have a good time. She offered a lot of guidance that made everything work out well, in the end. The decor of the venue is beautiful and was able to impress this very picky bride. It's the perfect mix between modern and elegant. The reception hall included its own uplighting, which aided in a great party atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing. All of my guests enjoyed it and couldn't believe the amount of food for the price. I think everyone went home more than full afterwards. The staff was also wonderful. If you're on a budget it's a great place. You feel like your in a Sopranos episode with the Godfather-esque decor. The venue is very compartmentalized and there are a ton of stairs so be mindful of that if your guests have a problem walking them. For example the chapel is downstairs the cocktail hour upstairs, ball room upstairs but the only bathroom is downstairs. However there is an elevator. They also have valet parking. The food was fair. Not poor. Fair. I had the salmon entree and took one bite just to try it. I tried the prime rib hoping for better but didn't get that at all. Not even typical wedding food. Below par. Nice place for a party. Wife and I were here for a friend's wedding today. We arrived a little late, missed out on the ceremony but was able to enjoy some of the cocktail hour. There was an abundant amount of food with multiple stations and several bars. The staff was very attentive and kept passing items on trays throughout the hour. The fact that there were approximately 180 guests it seemed a little cramped in the cocktail hour area. For the reception, the room we were in had approximately 18 tables and a very large dance floor. The options for dinner were Prime Rib, Chicken Florentine and Herb Crusted Tilapia. All three were served with mixed vegetables. Everyone at our table raved about their meal. Something just seemed a little bit off. The restrooms were another level and if you wanted to get outside for fresh air you had to go downstairs, walk through the cocktail area to go upstairs to the front door. The dessert was really amazing. They served two different plates. One was a chocolate waffle bowl filled with ice cream and bananas. The other was a warm apple tart served with ice cream, whipped cream and strawberry. Of course we also had wedding cake. This venue is very nice for events, but the staff was by far the worst venue staff I have experienced and were completely out of line. I was asked to show ID at the entrance, which I complied and was denied entrance although I am 22 years old with a valid ID. When I asked why I was being denied, the bouncer became very aggressive and basically said because he in in charge and could deny me if he felt so. After I was finally allowed in, I was asked to show my ID again multiple times throughout the night. A different male bouncer tried to force his way into the ladies room and was extremely disrespectful to many of the women in my sorority. I attended a Bat Mitzvah here and was very pleased. It was a little chaotic coming in because there wasn't enough valet parkers working so traffic on the avenue backed up. The cocktail hour was very nice and the food was fantastic. Some of the highlights included the spicy dumplings, the coconut crusted snapper, and the staff that walked around with trays of great apps. It was very crowded in the cocktail room so it wasn't that open to walk around. The reception area was bigger but probably not big enough for all the people that were there. The staff and servers did an outstanding job under the circumstances. They really packed them in at each table so the staff struggled but did an awesome job. The employees were entirely unprofessional and rude, they kept grabbing guests forcefully and refusing to let people who were 22 and 23 years old in because they were 'underage', even though the venue was not booked as a 21+ venue and these guests WERE of legal age. 'Trish' was absolutely horrible, making excuses for the rest of the staff members who were calling girls expletives and making other inappropriate comments. She was incredibly rude and refused to listen to anyone's problems even when other staff members were physically assaulting guests. Drinks were ripped out of people's hands although the only people drinking were 21 and over. I am in shock that they are able to run a business acting the way that they do. They refused to let male guests in for a while, even though the venue was rented out for all of the guests. The bartenders specifically told us never to book here again because the other employees were SO awful and they didn't want anyone to be subjected to it further. read more

I recently had my wedding there and everything was PERFECT, the staff, the food, dessert everyone was on point and all my guest were extremely satisfied but my only complaint is.. my family was recently effected by Hurricane Maria which was catastrophic and Puerto Rico is suffering All fights were cancelled in & out except for Aid & food. I found out the day after the hurricane my family could not make it because there was NO Airport!! And they didn't have audacity to adjust my headcount and still made me pay for 8 people even though my wedding was 4 days later. And 2 other family members that died in Mexico. They called it 'Dramatic ' I call it greed and soulless ,definitely insensitive. I could of helped PR with that $$ for those 8 empty spots they made me pay. This is a beautiful venue but the staff was completely rude and out of line with the guests. We had a sorority formal here where people were IDd at the door. People who were of age were not let in because of their "attitude" and two separate bouncers put their hands on me and grabbed me when I was trying to go to the bathroom, asked for my ID again, and after I complied said degrading and rude things to me. I LOVE RICHFIELD REGENCY. (Yes. I do.) After three months (yup three!) of looking at every available venue, my husband and I finally chose our top three. We realized we wanted a venue that would hold our party and that has a huge dance floor. Our top three needs were tons of food, a good sized dance floor, and close to our ceremony. Guess which fulfilled our needs? Richfield did. Here's my breakdown: Staff: Jude, Kelvin, and the rest of the staff were very accommodating. I didn't have a wedding planner, but for some funny way, my wedding turned out like it did because of their help and attention to detail. The flow of our wedding reception was perfect. Venue: From the chandelier to the table settings, the venue was perfect for the hot august weather. I wanted my guests to be in a comfortable romantic venue. I didn't want a venue where all my guests have to run around and look for each other. The cocktail room was a perfect size that people can mingle or just relax in another area with ample seating and tables. They even set up a huge bridal area for my bridal party with a bartender which was awesome. As for the main ballroom- it was huge with a giant chandelier (an oval glass one, it is gorgeous- very unique.) The main ballroom had enough room to put a dj and open air photo booth, with a very large dance floor, and lighting (we saved a lot on our dj with lighting!) The venue looked like a glamorous nightclub with the lights on! Everyone loved the venue. Food: The food was amazing. Our cocktail hour had immense food. We had 5 serving stations. Note: all our stations and entrees were picked out by my husband and I. Some reviewers complained of the food- it is because we chose entrees that we know will taste well due to the ingredients and we carefully selected them due to dietary concerns ( I used to work in the food industry, hence I know more of what's good to have.) Our entrees came out perfectly with care. No one complained about the food. My husband never orders chicken in any event, but he raved about the Chicken Valdestano to this day! We brought our own Lechon and sauces for the cocktail hour. They added apple sauce which complimented our Lechon. (The Viennese Tables wowed our guests. I've even brought family members who work in the banquet and events industry and they were in awe by the food and service! My friends who are hard to entertain were amazed by the food. As a bride, I was a bit apprehensive about this place, but we were given a deal that we couldn't pass up. Pros: Food was very good -- I definitely recommend the crab cakes for the appetizer, although the sauce it was served with was a bit spicy. The mashed potato bar, eggplant rollatini and chicken florentine were also very good. Also the Venetian table/hour was a big hit! They have multitude of desserts--cannolis, tiramisu, hot chocolate, cakes, pies, and more! It was amazing. Reception room --we had our reception in the regency room, which was beautiful. It features uplighting (which has multi-colored flashes when the dance floor is packed!) and silk flower centerpieces if you don't want to spend money on flowers. Nick was fantastic at our wedding. He was constantly on the go, making sure we got everything we needed. The few times I met Raul he seemed to be very friendly and courteous. Cons: Our wedding coordinator, Trish, was generally a very moody person. When she wanted to be, she was generally a nice person, but I didn't appreciate having to deal with her if she was in a bad mood and it added to my stress. Even when we originally booked the venue she seemed to be trying to talk us into things we did not want for the wedding. For instance, we wanted an outdoor ceremony, and since the venue does not have an outdoor location, she tried to tell us that an outdoor ceremony was not a good idea, tacky, etc. She was also late to the ceremony, so the other staff weren't sure of what to do. If you can, try to choose someone else as your coordinator. Bridal suite is extremely small. I didn't realize the importance of having a bridal suite to get ready in until a last minute hotel emergency turned into a nightmare -- I was almost late for my own wedding! No outdoor location, chapel and cocktail rooms are very small. We had about 150 guests, and both rooms seemed pretty cramped. Generally, if you get a good deal ($100-$120 per plate) this place is a pretty good venue. The guests seemed happy and everything seemed like it went smoothly. If you can organize your day well, the lacking of a large bridal suite won't make a difference. I would not recommend this place for anyone who needs gardens/outdoor location for ceremony--this is non-existent here. I would also stray away if you have more than 150 guests--the rooms are too small to handle it. read more

They make you feel like everything is gonna be perfect and you'll have your dream party and then they Shock you at the day of the event I was so embarrassed with the food the Meat was so bad I can't even describe it. It was what everybody was talking about at dinner. IMAGINE at your party everyone is talking about how bad the food is. They got the wrong dessert and when you confront them all they'll tell you is SORRY! I had my wedding at the westmount it was wonderful but we needed a smaller room because it was my baby's baptism that's why we made this mistake. The venue is really beautiful on the inside but the staff hired there is completely out of line. If you want to be disrespected and yelled at, this is the place to go. Some of my sorority sisters were denied entrance at the door when they are 21+. They would continually yank drinks out of their hand as well as continually check their ID. The staff at the door said they can choose who they want to come in or not (for no reason at all) because they can do whatever they want. It took over an hour for everyone to eventually get inside, this didn't include the people that they would decide to just kick out of the venue. They had male employees rudely and continually check the woman's bathroom when there were multiple woman employees who could have done the job. The food was also not good at all. The meat served was so thick and chewy many people barely touched it. The desert tasted like pure chemicals, so bad to the point that I can not even believe it was served.
